one thing i think is interesting...x made his fame and fortune off canine imagery. the cops go in and bust up his shit, they find a bunch of dead/malnourished dogs. (i don't see a reason to disbelieve that given what people are saying about x being too coked out or whatever, even as dirty as the cops are.)

now, to me, if you make poetry about dogs that uses their imagery to change the world, you owe real dogs something too, not just your road dogs. you know? karmically, x screwed up with that if nothing else. you can't be the kind of "dog" x used to claim tobe if you can't take care of animals that depend on you. it's not true to the soul of the poetry we do here.

just my opinion, on some poetic musings off the Don Julio tonite...hope x turns his shittles around

The only thing I don't understand is why X never actually bought his house back when he was ballin'. It would seem to me to be such an obvious decision to make. He might get it on not filing taxes then, but at least he'd own his house. Technically, until you pay off your mortgage, you don't own shit except your equity...and, as the real estate market has been showing lately, that ain't good to depend on either. The way mortgage contracts are structured, if the value of the house drops, basically you are eating that all yourself because you still owe the bank just as much, it's just that what you get at the end is now worth less.

I wonder if the thought ever crossed X's mind that he ought to just pay off his house payments at any point. We've been a "credit" society for way too long now...people really ought to be trying to own their shit. But then again, property taxes kill too these days, so who knows what the right answer is.

Oh well, at least X got company, seems like everybody broke as fuck these days. I know I'm not seeing the rain I would like to see, so I shouldn't even be saying a damn thing really.

btw illstrip if x actually does have a real serious drug habit of some kind actively going on, $200K = 0 dollars.

shit man, i could probably do two hundred k on weed in a month if i was really, really, really trying hard and i had the money and called a few of my homies up. i guarantee you that a bad drug habit is a device for turning dollars into disaster and that $200K is basically just enough to probably destroy his health if he does lose his home. i mean, i know the consensus is that dude sowed the field he's reaping, but still, maybe we should all be praying for x or something...

i do understand how shit goes down though. when i was typing that shit about the $200K weed month, i caught myself thinking "omg what a month that would be".

so, can't judge, you know?
