a lot of people don't know anything about big L but he put jay-z on quite a few tracks. When big L signed with rocafella it wouldve been a different roc. Memphis bleek would have never been where he is at in terms of albums. Dame would still be there now and cam as well. Big L was definitely the best lyricist to come out of Harlem in a long time. Harlem and all of NYC misses him and its sad that another rapper dies in cold blood and it is still unsolved but we can "find" saddam in a hole in the middle of the desert. Black people need to think about all this "beef" bullshit. Will the beef end when we all dead?

hard to believe it's been 10 years.. l is definitely the greatest example of a rapper not getting to reach his full potential, son was illlll and he was just about to pop off with the rocafella deal and all.. and the way he got killed, it wasnt like he was in any way responsible for it, it was somebody beefin with his brother, shit is just really sad.. it's sad when anyone dies, but at least, like, pac was wildin, biggie shoulda known l.a. wasnt safe, pun was fat, odb ingested the coke, proof brought it on himself in the club, whatever whatever.. l was just leavin the crib and somebody ran up on him and murdered him on some shit that l had no involvement with.. of all the many people hip-hop lost, i miss big l and dilla the most. and if u aint knowin, 'lifestylez of da poor and dangerous' is a classic album and 'the big picture' was a fantastic and surprisingly coherent album (considering some of the tracks are just radio freestlyes and whatnot).. Biggie had 2 albums and L had 1 or two, Pac had countless classic albums, classes teaching about him and his poetry at Berkley and was a damn good actor. To me this what makes him one of the greatest of all time, his portfolio was crazy....Let me ask this ?, if Jordan would have played the same way his whole career but NOT won one ring, would we consider him the greatest to have played, I believe Big and L were on thier way to greatness, but thier life got cut short by haters.

Pac aint got a single classic album, 7 Day Theory is as close as he got to that but there were still a few bad tracks on it eg Toss It Up, but that is MY OPINION, just like you got yours, it dont mean nothing to anyone but you.
Pacs beats were terrible for the most part, and he wasnt a good MC with good flow or any punchlines.
And people who are up on here recognise the talent L had and base their opinions on the 2 albums and unreleased stuff (COC) that they have managed to get their hands on, just like PUN doesnt get his shine like he should or Kool G Rap, real heads know about Big L, people who love RnB are the only people that i know who think Pac is that good, cos they aint got much else to compare him to. Dude switched up his lifestyle and tried to swim with the sharks but was eaten up cos he wasnt REAL.
Listen to L slaughter Jay Z on that 7 min freestyle, L was above Cam and Mase and they both had their run in the game. I aint saying what could have been but for you to not recognise his great talent you straight dumbing out.
