This is nothin new nigga sign to majors all day. I guess no label want to sign tech 9. Artist with good buisness skills and indie labels who got capital don't need a major label. 80 persent of artist who are on majors are trying to get off. Lil wayne signed this nigga to keep him close, NEVER SIGN WITH ANOTHER RAPPER. Drake can't move unless lil wayne wants him too. He already had a big buzz, drop that bitch indie and get all that paper, now he got to deal with the politics which slows shit down. You cant really blame people for their reaction I mean....as far as Wayne "building careers"...so far...no good....I guess Drake is showing loyalty to the man that "put him on" instead of jumping ship after Wayne pretty much put him on the scene...good thing is...talent will eventually overide everything....Gillie...Currency....both good mixtape rappers but thats about it...sometimes its about more than rap...and Drake has that "IT" factor right now...hopefully it translates into good music....Jay already got him on BP3....word is they recorded 4 songs but only one will make the album....so he may have Jay on his album...plus he got Wayne so just about any producer and rapper Drake wants for an album...he'll be able to use them to get...so I like that move...stay loyal....but dont stay underneath those boys...they'll (baby) will eat off u for life lol

People keep saying Drake just signed away all the potential money he could have gained by signing w/ Wayne. But people tend to forget that when Baby & Slim made the deal w/ Universal, he owns 100%. Not 50% or 75% like most CEO's and Rapper's that branched off of a Major to start their own label. So, as long as Drake did a smart contract, aka "not allowing Baby to stop the flow of money coming in". Then in the words of Randy Moss, he will be seeing "Straight Cash Homie!"
