I dont understand... This is something thats been going on for years...When rappers were owning Labels every rappers had a label.. When owning a clothing line was the thing to do every rapper had a clothing line...So my question is what makes "autotune" so different? Thats what rappers do, they copy whatever the hottest rapper at that point and time is doing and they try to cash in from it too...

My point is after a while all these things just dissappear by themselves...I personally think that rappers Like Jay-z is using AUTOTUNE by simply going against it... Anyway you look at it he is still using it as a way to sell records as well...

It's just because Jay-Z is involved that people feel the need to speak up. For instance, if Game, or Nas, or T.I. or some other artist did this, this article wouldn't even be here. It is what it is. Whether you like Jay or not, he is for better or worse still the biggest and most successful rapper in the game, and if his name is attached to anything, it will draw a certain number of onlookers. Bottom line is that all of them, KRS, Buckshot, and Jay are all sick of the state of music. As am I. This is their way of doing something about it besides going to a radio station or magazine to complain about it.

Auto Tune wasnt just made for T-Pain, In fact Roger Troutman R.I.P used the original Auto Tune to electrify his voice, T-Pain is a new comer to the synth voice, but thats not the point.

The real point here is If someone wants to use auto tune Jay Z of all people "Cant knock their Hustle"
When He was Mr. Versace Mr. Diamond Jigga, it was rappers that were in opposition of that and what did he say "Nigga kept complainin so I got more versace rocked more diamond"

He's a hypocrite and will use anything to sell records. I like some of the music he manufactures while working with real artist but he himself is not a artist remember he's a hustler gangster, didnt he say that???

swing and a miss! and yeah you are hatin on mr. sdot. when roger troutman came out with the VOICBOX every body did not jump on the bandwagon! cuz that was rogers shit everyone respected that!

Not even close, Roger was a pioneer but it was not Roger's shit. First off its called a Talkbox, not Voicbox. Second the manipulation technology was first used back in the late 1930s, Roger wasn't born until 1951. Third it was officially known as the Talking Steel Guitar/Talkbox in the late 1960s used by Peter Drake a country artist then early in the 1970s and was used by Stevie Wonder who then inspired Peter Frampton to use it. Roger is that dude and certainly helped bring it to prominance in the 80s along with Teddy Riley in the 90s but this technology has been around for decades, nobody doing it now is doing something new, nobody.
