1st strike: I seen more news coverage for some gay dude crying about Britney Spears than I did this tragedy...

2nd strike: Refusing to try this case as a hate crime...this is exactly why i don't get down with the whole "freedom vs. equality" argument...think about it, you can either be "free" and not "equal" (like we are presently) or fight for equality to level the playing field for all...

3rd strike: Living in a "democratic" yet "capitalistic" society...how the fuck is our government gonna be for the people AND the money? First of all, not all the "people" have money so you should know how THAT story ends...(please refer to my 2nd strike again for further clarification on the 3rd)

it's gonna take somebody gonna kamikaze on Capitol Hill before our community realizes how twisted the political and racial structure of this country HAS been

no disrespect to anyone, but peace rallies and marches are only gonna take us so far...

This was not any to many news networks i saw it a few time but she did not get enough coverage

However charging them with kidnapping and sexual assault is better yes it was a raciallly charged crime. However the prosecutor is going for what he knows will get these asses locked up for torturing this poor girl. Now if they get off then we need to be pissed but i highly doubt they will.

I think they will all spend the rest of their lives in jail.. I hope they will.

My question is why isnt her so called friend that led her to the spot and left her there has she been charged with anything cause i htink she should be.1

I feel so sorry for this woman i swear its sick that this can happen

I never would have known about this story if I hadn't read it online when it happened. I haven't seen a single mention of this on the news. I don't watch the news that often but you know when something big happens because it's all over every channel. I wish they would stop giving so much media coverage to bullshit about celebrities and talk about the important shit like what is wrong with these dumb people in our messed up country.

They really need to change these hate crime laws. It's obvious that this shit was racially motivated just like so many other cases that don't get the severity increased because "it's too hard to prove to be a hate crime" If something is this blatant and can't be tried as a hate crime you know something is truly wrong with the law. And how badly they degraded this poor woman is absolutely ridiculous. I really wish this country would have more of an "eye for an eye" mentality when it comes to punishing people.

And I really don't understand what is wrong with the people in this country. Why would you hate on somebody because they look different from you? Something that they have no control over. What did these people do to you to make you hate them? Not shit. They think that they own the country. Why did everybody come here in the first place? To escape all the shit in their home country and try to live A BETTER LIFE. Get a fucking clue.

I am not certain if a March would be effective on this issue in West Virginia, but it is a step in the right direction to bring more light on the issue. Black Media Ownership is so small, so when it comes to prominent issues like this they can go unknown forever because the mainstream media is not concerned with real news.

It is definitely a hate crime, but America is filled with hate and I truly don't think Black people hate this shit enough to do anything about it. If a hate crime was classified along socioeconomic and psychological lines then the entire fabric of American society would be accused and convicted.

The residues of justice for this young woman will be less than adequate in a racist West Virginia court. If there was a true equalization of crime with punishment in regards to atrocities like this then those white people would be eating dog shit, and licking cat piss. Instead we have to witness this charade of court room antics and more marches.

What makes me so upset with how the world goes is just how this circle of hate never ends. When blacks see shit like this happen or what happened with Jena 6, a lot of them start creating their own hate toward white people. That's how this cycle continued for years.
