Edo has been doing it for years. Dude is a legend. Boston has plenty dope emcees, its just boston doesnt rep their local artists like they should. theres also a lot of wanna be artists trying to move their cds on the streets. the culture up here is that the new generation of hip hop listeners are into that "pop hop". a good beat, no lyrical substance and a dance to go with the song. another reason is because a lot of stores dont carry local artist's albums. i'd like you to try and get a store like strawberries to see if they will put your album on the shelf. i know the day Big Shug's album came out i went and asked them about it, they looked at me like i was crazy. you really have to dig deep to find them. like those mom and pop stores. They also dont really get no daytime radio play. you'd only hear them on certain days, late at night. Boston has a vast variety of artists that are dope that havent been heard of. its hard to really support them when you havent heard of them. i try to do my part and support them rappers like

Bean City stand the fuck up!! I completely agree w whut LP2K had 2 say about the rap scene in Beantown, he's defly on point w what he was talkin about..I'm actually an up&coming artist from the Bean, I got a duo w my girl but we aint on no corny, love, emo type ish, we both spittin hard body I'll throw a link 2 our Myspace @ the bottom..But newayz, when we recorded last week @ my boy's basement (tough producer by the name of Lu Balz) he was tellin me that Slaine was in there a few days earlier layin down some tracks for features..So I was pretty impressed w that ya digg..I was also on Smoke Bulga's street team when his mixtape dropped last April, that shit was mad fun cuz we got backstage passes & VIP access 2 all the events he was performing at, I love this Hip-Hop shit!! lol But on the real, check out my shit & let me know whuts good I appreciate it..1
