I went to the roots show in Charlotte last weekend...they are ridiculous. they had a fucking tuba player hopping around on stage and they played for almost 3 hours. one of the best shows i have ever seen in my life.

WOW!!! Another CLASSIC from the Roots. It should be illegal to be this talented. Every album since "Things Fall Apart" has been a classic. And not forget the NEAR CLASSIC "Illadelph Halflife". Actually many people think "Illadelph Halflife is a classic. Regardless, "Rising Down" is the best Hip-Hop album THIS YEAR so far, but I doubt anybody will release a better album in 2008.

Me, and my wife was bumpin RISING DOWN through my XBOX 360 last night like 1 in the morning (our house is networked) before I started playing GTA IV, and my wife loves the cd especially the video for GET BUSY, they bobbin they heads in that joint like they high...loved THE ROOTS even before they got the Grammy with YOU GOT ME from the THINGS FALL APART project...crazy FIRE for real. Honestly without a doubt after listening to this album, I've been a fool for sleeping on The Roots. Not saying that I thought they were wack because that's far from the truth. Just didn't take the time out to listen to their music. But this CD is hot from start to finish.

Man, the cd is on fire! If they don't receive their props for this one, I don't know when they will. I love that track with Wale and C. M. it's fire how they infused DC grown go-go music to the track. They don't want it with Black on the ryhmes. He's killing it right now, in my eyes he's always been good. Praise to the Roots for doing it right. Hip-hop has been through surgery and it looks like it's going to make it!

I just wish they had a bigger budget. Tired of seeing new band members every other day. If you all love the Roots that much, then you should all call the radio stations and ask them to play their songs. I like them also I just want them to sell records! Lots of them. A good song that can be commercial friendly might not be a bad look for them. A song that Barack Obama can play at his inauguration. Something inspiring. Is that asking too much??
