When one thinks of currency, they think of a means to transact; to exchange.  Currency is used to get things that you want, to get goods and services, and to get what you need.

Curren$y is not to be confused with Young Money anymore, but apparently he does stand ready willing and able to get you what you need.

Previously you saw him on AllHipHop telling you who his Top 5 Dead or Alive emcees were.  Since then, he's been conspicuously silent..until now.  Here's a little dose of the kid in the studio with his homies working on new material.

As with all the young cats trying to make a name for themselves he's a work in progress but i think this joint is cool.  We'll see if duke is built to go the distance without the Cash Money machine.

Is Curren$y good money?  "Blown Away" is the track from the upcoming  street album This Ain't No Mixtape. Check it out

wayne seen his potential and cast a shadow on his shine. Dude got a decent flow and like odeisel said, he just a young dude right now but if he stay focused he can end up being a major player in the game.

Honestly...

I feel like Pimp C when he first heard the beat to "Big Pimpin" with Jay-Z.  Quote:  "Them a whole lotta flutes, mayne!  I don't know about them flutes, mayne!"  LOL.

Seriously, it was whole lotta flutes (or whatever they were) at the beginning of the track, but then it smoothed out.  Track was okay...I'd give it 5/10.  But Currensy is still the lil' homie and cats should probably keep an eye out for him cause dude brings it when he actually tries.  He definitely has the potential of blowing up.

i like the beat a lot.  i can admit that seeing the corny kid in the studio detracts from taking it seriously.  I think many of thes eyoung guys shoudl first stop signing to artists, especially if that artist is in the same lane as they are.  Next i think they should get serious about the BUSINESS aspect of what they do.

You don't know how many emails people send talking about check they myspace out and sending songs. No disrespect but I'm not going ot your myspace. Get serious. Get  lawyer, Get  publicist.  Put together an EPK and get serious about your career.

HIp-Popers include T-Pain Kanye West, Snoop Dogg and Lil Wayne + Anyother f/\g using the AUTOTUNE BULLSH|T so basiclcly what im sayin is it dont mean hes a good rapper to say hes better then lil wayne he along with all the other people i listed are pretty much dryed up and only have the occasional good song which is pretty much always a rehash of there old sh|t

I love this track...this is Classic Curren$y. beat and flow. Ive followed his career thus far and the kid has come a long way. And i really think he's on pace to be one of the nicer cats in the game lyrically. He just doesnt get the respect he deserves. I hate to reference Wayne, but its similar to how little respect wayne got as an up and coming artist in the game to the point where he is now. I think Curren$y has a style that the game needs. He's a cool azz dude, he just walked up on me one day and dapped me off and just started talkin to me and my cuz one day outside the HOB. Just a regular dude. And he doesnt rap like he's trying to pretend to be gangsta or nothing he's not. He has has regular dude type of lyrics and you gotta respect that. Im looking forward to an album from him. Check his catalog....its long. Props to Odeisel for droppin this.
