I swear to god, these reviewers suck...and when i say that i don't mean how they rate albums, i mean the detail (or lack thereof) that they use when writing about individual tracks and the album as a whole.

Perfect example--the reviewer wrote: "if there were a few dents in the armor, they would come from the times this effort feels unfinished. The single, “The Game's Been Good To Me” comes to mind. “Texas Ave” makes you wonder what could have been. However, these moments are few and far between."

Now, a good reviewer would have elaborated on these sentences, especially since these are the "criticisms" that are being made about the album. For instance, why do these two songs sound unfinished? What exactly about "Texas Ave" "makes you wonder what could have been"? Are the lyrics the cause of this criticism or is it the production, is it both, or is it different for one track as opposed to the other? Also, "these moments are few and far between"....does this mean that there are other tracks, or parts of tracks, that feel unfinished?

There needs to be someone to review the reviews, cuz more times than not they are very incomplete and very rarely are they helpful to the listener...

Man I don't give a damn what nobody says, this cd is tight as hell!!!
I copped it the day it came out and I just took it out my cd deck in my car yesterday after a whole week .
The only tracks I really ain't feeling r Swishas & erb, Feelin U is ok it depends on what kind of mood I'm in, and Harry Asshole is ok, but ain't nothin 2 write home about, besides that it's off the chain 2 me. My favorites r "Everybody Wanna Ball", Purse comes first, "Used ta be", "Pimp and the Bun" and "steal yo mind", hell I even like the song with Akon and the interludes "7th Street and Texas Ave" go hard to me. I don't think the album is better than "Underground Kings" and it definitely ain't better than "Ridin Dirty" but I feel that it was a proper send off for the group and the legacy of Pimp.

R.I.P. Pimp C, Bun keep holdin" it down UGK LEGACY LIVES ON 4 EVA!!!

Anyway, the times that shit is sparse and exists in the following songs...the interludes, the game been good to me. UIt exists becuase of the lyrics feel unfinished. The production is pretty good throughout.

put up or shut up time? Take it easy. Can't take some criticism apparently. Seriously though, as a reviewer, how do you justify not including any lyrics from the album? I understand that you have posted videos, but IMO a good review extracts some quotables from the standout tracks and then adds some comments about them...

I wasn't trying to be a dick or single you out specifically, it's just as someone who comes to AHH on the regular and reads all the album reviews (not to nitpick or talk shit, but because I'm interested in learning about new releases), it's really become obvious that not much time is put into writing the reviews, which is a shame because a lot of people, like myself obviously, enjoying reading album reviews and may take that into consideration regarding if we buy an album or not......putting up videos is like the ultimate act of corner cutting--anyone can go to youtube and listen to a cut from the album or download the album as a whole.....

Compared to Super Tight, Ridin' Dirty and the Last album, this joint was weak. Either there are some UGK stans on here, cats ears are clogged or people are wanting it to be that classic cause of Pimp Cs untimely demise. Hell, maybe people really do think it is that tight...but compared to their other work, this is disappointing...and I'm a UGK fan. I think a lot of people compare cds to what's currently out. Perhaps compared to all this other bullshit out, this sounds decent. Personally, I compare new albums to every dope album that came before it cause really dope shit is timeless. Just my opinion though.

I can take the normal criticism fine. The thing about lyrics in the review, at least for myself when I write them, is you can never read music the way it sounds. It really doesn't say anything when you take down lines.

I don't see what the problem is when someone puts up a selection with the album. As I stated above no person can write a passage that can capture the exact magic that is contained in the song.

I agree with both parties.....writing lyrics down cant capture what a song says. But I also have to say the reviews on albums have been mediocre at best. Its like im getting half comments and you guys arent doing your foot work. I definitely am not a UGK fan sort to speak. But I also liked their music because they didnt follow everyone else and they kept there same sound. I bought the album because I actually bought the double disc they had out(Album escapes my memory my bad) But i think that album production and lyric wise was Waaaay better than this album. I wanted a little more thougt on why you said songs were incomplete as well. I dont think this album is wack but i did expect MORE. I gave it a pass because I figured pimp wasnt there to help with the songs organization, and one man cant determine how another persons ear would be IE Diddy and the Biggie Albums or any Makaveli/Pac album after 96. AHH step your game up when it comes to the reviews...people pay their hard earned money to support this artist.

i'm a longtime ugk fan, but the album is weak. I loved Bun B's album but this one just seemed thrown together and I was let down. I know if pimp c was still around things would be different, and I hope the money made from this will at least benifit his family. If you want to hear ugk at its best get a trill azz mixes cd. ps...
