Hey, I get off Monday so you won’t get any more rumors until Tuesday. But you never know, maybe I will hear something and post it. As for today, I’m taking it light on the rumors. Here are the rumors and ill pics that I have…
BEEF BETWEEN BEYONCE AND JAMIE FOXX?
Hee Hee. Celebrity beef is so cool Nobody gets shot. Nobody gets pounded out. There are just petty power struggles. Take Jamie Foxx and Beyonce for example. The two are working together to promote the movie Dreamgrls, but I heard they have been wrangling over the smallest things. For example, there is only one luxury suite left at the Hotel Martinez in France, where they are pushing the movie. Well, this place costs upwards of $20,000 per night. There are all sorts of luxuries we can only dream about. Anyway, both Jamie and Beyonce want it. From what I heard, Beyonce is being the “bigger” person, because I heard Jamie’s getting the room. Oh, they didn’t even talk to each other about it, they talked through their reps. Oh, Beyonce just demanded that she get a yacht. (Did I mention that cost more than the suite?)
RADIO RUMORS
I heard that radio heavyweight Big Boy, who is huge on the West Coast, has replaced “The Star & Bucwild Show” in many key markets like Philly, Los Angeles, Savannah, GA, Hartford, CT and other hot spots like Richmond, VA. This could be the big jump off for the Big Boy and he can take his “Neighborhood” to the next level – national! Now, I am not sure of this part of it, but I will put it out there anyway. I heard that Big Boy actually replaced Tigger & Egypt (who replaced Star) in some Southern markets, because ratings were lower than other places like NYC. What a roller coaster, but they will be fine – those are good people.
THE BEAT DOES NOT GO ON…FOR RAP IN L.A.
Recently, a wave of change has hit the airwaves of Los Angeles and the West Coast Hip-Hop scene suffers. I heard that the whole situation at 100.3 The Beat has changed and people are being fired or distributed to other stations in the state to accommodate the change in format. Rap music has been given the “heav-ho” and they will now play only contemporary R&B (no pop R&B and no Hip-Hop). There is another station that’s undergone a similar change. Steve Harvey is going back to L.A. and Tom Joyner is coming out there too. I guess there isn’t much more to say other than “keep it underground.”
LAST T-PAIN/DEAD PREZ COMMENTARY
Yo! This Dead prez/T-Pain thing actually has people talking. Emmanuel supported T-Pain’s comments and now Tarrius has responded. Also, thanks to Robert Mayberry, who sent me the actual footage of the T-Pain. It did seem like a diss to me, but I more impressed that the dude can actually rap! Did T.I. get back with Tiny? A couple weeks ago, I heard the rapper and Tiny went away to relax and get a grip on things. Hoopz might be the bomb, but Tiny wins this round.
