WHERE’S CAM’RON PART 300

Yesterday there was a Cam’ron sighting in New York! Cam was spotted leaving the EMI Music (Virgin, Capitol Records) in New York on 5th Avenue and 20th street. In Manhattan. From what I understand, Cam was visiting Virgin Records, which is on the third floor of the building. No pictures were taken and nobody I know really got to chat with Cam. Questions are raised at this point. Is he planning a move to Virgin?

Shout out to White Pete! You’re a rebel with a cause!

WHY LIL’ WAYNE HAD A BABY?

Lil’ Wayne has a beautiful daughter and that’s something to behold. In the new issue of VIBE, he reveals how he came to have his daughter at such a young age – 15.

A year after Rabbit was gone, I was on tour like crazy with Cash Money, and my momma said she was bored, alone, and scared in the house by herself. She was like, ‘Why don’t you just have a baby with somebody? Just tell the little girl’s mom I’ma take care of the baby, don’t worry about that.’ I was like, ‘I don’t have nobody I like like that!’ She was like, ‘Just find somebody! You don’t like Toya?’ I was like, ‘Alright, I like her then.’ Toya was 14 when she got pregnant, and I was 15 asking 14-year-olds. Toya’s the only person that agreed outta all the ones I asked. I said that my momma wants a child. And they was like, ‘That’s your momma’s problem!’ So Toya was like, ‘Shiiit, when we due, boo?’

I think they could have just got mom a puppy.

IS LL COOLING OFF TO THE JAY-Z BATTLE?

You know, LL Cool J IS HIP-HOP. I will explain that in a minute. But, let us start with the gossip. Well, this seems to be mostly about fact and how LL plans to deal with his situation at Def Jam. He recently told New York mag writer Jada Yuan that he wasn’t really looking for a drag-out beef with Jay-Z or Def Jam.

He said: “We need to meet and figure it out. It’s tough. Let’s be real. You know, they have an artist (Jay-Z) running a label full of artists. Okay? That’s like Calvin Klein running a fashion label and Varvatos and everyone else is underneath him. What kind of sense does that make? This hierarchy? It doesn’t work for me.”

“I’m going to approach [the situation / meeting] from a positive, optimistic viewpoint. Hopefully it will work.”

What is interesting is LL’s next CD will be called Exit 13: The Icon Versus the Wolf Pack. It is a concept CD where LL battles the very rappers he put on in the game. I want him to battle the older guy…lmao!

WAS COMMON DISSING 50 CENT OR WHAT?

You remember when it looked like Common was about to go to war with 50 Cent? Well, he never did. If you heard a line like, “with twelve monkeys on stage, it's hard to see who's a gorilla, you was better as a drug dealer” you kind of think he’s talking about 50 Cent. AllHipHop.com got to the root of the line and Common explained:

AllHipHop.com: Speaking of love we know Common is all about peace and love, but what did you mean when you said that “gorilla” line on Finding Forever? Why you starting stuff?

Common: Nah, people keep thinking I'm going at somebody [50 Cent!] and I'm not really even going at nobody specifically. It's just that I see a lot of rappers and they always got a lot of dudes on stage and you don't get to see them perform, because you don't know who is who. I just gave the example using monkeys, because I was just making it real raw and sayin’ it the way I would say it

AllHipHop.com: Oh ok, so that wasn't some subliminal G-Unit diss?

Common: No, I'm a live and direct dude, you know, if I got something against somebody I'm probably gonna say their name. Any time I had a battle you'd know who I was coming at.

AllHipHop.com: Speaking of battle rap, would you battle rap now, because I know a lot of established rappers who aren't tryin to battle because they don't want to get played by some young hungry up and comer?

Common: Yeah, if I felt the urge. I was a battle rapper, but you gotta be smart with it

AllHipHop.com: Not even on some beef stuff but who would you like to battle?

Common: Kanye (laughs)

AllHipHop.com: That would be a good one.

Common: Yeah, and because you know it would be friendly and it's still love, but we could go because that dude got a lot of good raps in him.

I don't know if I believe Common! Shout out to Octavia Bostick for the interview that I have stolen for my own purposes.

HILLARY CLINTON MIGHT NOT BE THE BEST PRESIDENT!

One of the most important facets of being a president is keeping the nation’s secrets. Well, this might be where Hillary Clinton falls short. Russell Simmons just turned 50 (actually he turns 5-0 tomorrow) and all his friends and family had a surprise party for him. On Saturday night, Russ was at the Black Caucus thing I couldn’t afford to go to and Hillary hollered at Russ like, “Sorry I won’t be able to make your party.” Russ had no clue what she was talking about, assuming the potential president was talking about another random party. So, being clueless turned out to be an asset and the party went off without a hitch. The show offered performances by LL Cool J, Musiq and others…so much fun being filthy rich.

Here is Mr. Simmons and his lovely daughters.

ELEPHANT MAN…HE’S SO STRONG

Shout out to SLUG fam from Toronto! The homies told me that Elephant Man did perform in Canada with Nas and eluded his detractors. Also, Ele brought a huge chick on stage that I heard was no less than 250 pounds. They tried to dance. But, when she was riding up on him he lost his footing and they fell, knocking over the DJ's equipment. I heard the whole crowd was in stitches at what they saw. And, you won’t get any elephant jokes out of me. I like bigger girls.

KEYSHIA COLE IS COLD

Keyshia Cole heated people up with this interview she did with 92Q Jamz in Baltimore. Click here to listen. She really clashed with the DJ on the mic, but they came back and cleaned it up. People are really talking about it and so should you. LOL. Key Key just had a bad day!

TIMBALAND CONTINUES HIS RUN FOR THE THRONE

I heard that not only is he working with Nelly Furtado, Bjork, Justin, Celine Dion and others, but Timbaland is now working with Duran Duran on some stuff. But, there is nothing new about this. AHH chatted with Tim-collaborator Danjahandz and he broke it down proper.

"The actual process of making the album [with Duran Duran] was cool," Danjahandz told AllHipHop.com. "We just went in there as musicians, I think that's what was beneficial for me, playing those instruments, came into play. Because I had to become a musician, not a producer a beat maker, I had to become a musician and write songs. It was just an easy thing for me, the dudes were real open for me and where I was taking them. It was just a cool experience.”

Back in the day, Duran Duran was the sure shot. Here is something they did that I always felt was very Hip-Hop.

ROXANNE SHANTE IS 1000% MORE GANGSTA THAN ANY RAPPER

See this. (She’s more of a pimp as well.)

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Rumor has it, Kanye’s next CD will be called Masters Degree. I think it should be called First Job, Pay Off Loans.

There is a silly rumor going around that Alicia Keys suffered a mild stroke. Silly rumors.

I heard Beanie Sigel recently signed a pair of female rappers named Paperdoll and Nina Ross. I can’t verify though.

I heard Mya recently had an interview where she dissed 50 Cent by stating that his new CD, Curtis, was a coaster on a table to her. If you don’t know, Mya was in the middle of the 50 / Game beef for a second.

Eva Longoria's got a sex tape on the internet – they say! I saw part on TV, but there isn’t much of anything online yet. We’ll see.

Halle Berry’s biracial baby with Gabriel Aubry has been threatened by heathens! She has beefed up security.

My boy Allen told me that Hollywood is planning to do a new version of “The Karate Kid” with Will Smith’s son.

This night be old to you, but it’s new to me. I heard that Shaq’s wife bought that trainer a $650K condo in Miami! What the devil is her problem?! And how big is the trainer? I wouldn’t want Shaq mad at me. LOL.

Keith Murray and Francis Ford Coppola [of "Godfather" fame] have something in common. Coppoloa got his laptop stolen from thieves in Buenos Aires. In it was the script for his upcoming film Tetro.

Britney lost the kids. That girl is a MESS.

Eve ain’t coming out ‘til 2008. Why is it so hard for artists to get any traction in this climate? Same thing for David Banner and his The Greatest Story Ever Told.

DAVID BANNER IN TROUBLE?

Now, when David Banner was at AHH’s Social Lounge, he was very passionate and articulate. In fact, the people that attended really felt him and what he was saying. A few days later, after AHH Week, Banner goes before Congress to speak regarding controversial lyrics, misogyny and a bunch of other things that they feel Hip-Hop promotes. I heard that Universal Records, the parent company to SRC, wasn’t very pleased at Banner being on the panel. What isn’t clear is what actually upset them. I heard the higher-up’s weren’t happy about WHAT he said more than him actually being involved.

Here is a bit of Banner and Master P going at it at the Social Lounge.

AHH RUN DOWN!

I miss Scott Sterling from a Boogie Down Productions from a fan point of view. Ever ask yourself “What if Scott La Rock Had Lived?” Click here to read the piece of fiction.

Check out this really cool interview with Soulja Boy. I know, people hate on the kid, but this was really cool. It is like a lesson in "Creating A Buzz 101."

Cool & Dre! Last time we got them, one of them was in the hospital after a car accident or something...so we got "him."

Young Jeezy talks about the Pimp C situation. Very interesting.

Want to see what JR Rotem's take on Britney Spears, click here. You all might recall, he dated the pop-wreck briefly. That girl needs Jesus.

Read my rumors from yesterday!

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

Two brothers stab each other in front of their own mother on her birthday. They are both in critical condition. SMH.

Two brothers in their late 30s remained hospitalized, but were expected to live, after they stabbed each other with knives in front of their mother on her birthday Sunday night on the Southwest Side.

Both men remained hospitalized early Monday, but they are expected to live. No charges have been filed.

It was unknown what the two were fighting about, but they eached used knives to stab each other in the abdomen area in front of their mother on her birthday, according to Harrison Area police.

The two men, 37 and 39, stabbed each other during an argument outside their home at about 7:45 p.m., an Ogden District lieutenant said.

"I don't know if alcohol was involved, but they got mad and stabbed each other," the lieutenant said.

Two people were taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital after being stabbed in the 2600 block of South Millard Avenue, according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Rich Rosado.

JENA PART 2 - HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — A noose was found dangling in the headquarters of a suburban police department that prides itself on its diversity, the police chief said.

David Banner was so right…SMH. Read here for the full story on the noose hanging in the New York police department.

Aries Spears Makes Fun Of R. Kelly!

I have to admit, I didn’t think this was all that funny, but a lot of other people did.

NAS’ GREATEST HITS

I heard Nas was dropping an album on the same day as Jay’s American Gangster and I discounted it. Now, I see where the rumors originated. Nas apparently has a greatest hits CD dude. See the cover and tracklisting below. They really could have left “Oochie Wally” off.

1. Less Than An Hour (with Cee-Lo)

2. Untitled New Track

3. It Ain’t Hard To Tell

4. NY State Of Mind

5. One Love

6. If I Ruled The World (with Lauryn Hill)

7. Street Dreams (with R. Kelly)

8. Hate Me Now (with Puff Daddy)

9. Ether

10. One Mic

11. Got UR Self A….

12. Made You Look

13. Oochie Wally

14. Bridging The Gap (with Olu Dara)

LOVE MYA…

I love Mya to death, but I am not sure this is the desired look for her career-wise. I have to admit, I was doing the peanut butter stomp after seeing this video.

ILL PICS!

The homey Montigo and the super homey Chuck D of Public Enemy.

Pink is wild as ever! Here, she shows off her pierced nip nip. Can't show you, but its like a needle through a light colored raisin.

Shout out to Mike, an armed service man...16 years! He saw Meth over in Hawaii! Chillinnnnnnnn!

TOMORROW, WE LOVE YOU!

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

LL don't need to battle Jay, Jay helps to make sure that LL gets a check, he is not stupid, plus LL don't even write all his rhymes anymore, he will have to have Jay pay a ghostwriter just to keep up in the battle...lol
Common's words make sense...get it Common Sense, anyway bad joke, but remember when he went in on Cube, he went all the way in, Common is a stand up dude, lets not give him trouble where he don't need it.
That Lil Wayne stuff is just weird, and rather foolish and it speaks to many of the social ills that we as minorities face in this country.  How disfunctional can we as a people be when we are telling our 15yr old children to go out and have babies so we can have someone in the house, damn she don't have friends to come over and hang out, get a pet, go volunteer somewhere, start a charity, hell just move!!! But NO, we go all the way there and tell our kids to go have kids?!?!?!?! I am sorry but stuff like that I would not even spit in an interview, it is too stupid and a bit too much to let the general public know that such rampant ignorance is in my bloodline.  I like Wayne, and I don't mean to diss his mother but DAMN, WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!

TUSKEGEE EXPERIMENT??????
Irrelevant if ALL people were slaves at ONE point, non white slavery wasnt abolished up until 200years ago in (England anyway) Its A fact that in America the goverment has fucked ova black people... fact look up 'TUSKEGEE EXPERIMENT'
FOR 40 YEARS NEARLY 400 BLACK MEN WHO WERE MOSTLY ILLERIRATE WERE SUBJECT TO AN EXPIREMENT WITH SYPHILIS.
They where told they had 'Bad Blood' and let them get worse not telling them wot they had, and had know intention ov curing them!!! And that was carried out by the Goverment Of America!!!!!!!!!
Obiviuosly I doubt would happen 2day, and most white people ov recent generations arnt rasicst (rap music probly helped this). And hate towards white people who arnt racist (like Myself, and most English people) only creates more rascim, but if I was black, and My people were subject to horrific atrocities like that, I wud NEVER or Be very SKEPTICAL at trusting Goverment. How could sum1 treet PEOPLE/HUMMANS as giniepigs??? Fuck Animal Rights, where the fuck are Humman Rights. So get the fuck outta hear with Ur bullshit. U think U kno it all, but U dont kno shit.

1. Cam at Virgin? WHo cares? Bring back the "old" Killa Cam and then I'll be checking for ya.

2. Lil Wayne. What a touching story. Who says romance is dead? I'm sure this story will warm her heart when she's older and reads the story of how she was conceived. Come on, man. Everything doesn't need to be out in the yard like that. Keep some shit to yourself. Especially something with the ability to damage your own flesh and blood. wtf

3. No more LL/Jay rumors until there's a song. That;s all I care about. The actual battle

4.  I don't think Common was going at 50. Cats always try to read so much into lyrics. Common won't strike first but he will defend himself if struck. Ask Ice Cube.

5. Elephant Man.. ain't nothing wrong with a "big, skrong girl".. do ya thang.. lol

6. Damn.. can't listen to that Keyshia Cole interview at the job. Will definitely peep it when I get home.

7. It's too damn early to be talking about Kanye's next cd

8. Mya as fine as her ass is... is crazy to be talking about Curtis' being a coaster when she won't even sell what he has at his worst. Never talk shit before your own weed plate hits the stores.

9. Racist bastards threatened Halle. I got your back ma. Racist motherfuckers always so interested in what everyone else is doing instead of minding their own hog fuckin business.

10.  Damn Shaq's wife is given out gifts like that. Evidently Shaq ain't puttin it down like he should. Do your thang on the street son, but keep your home tight. Anybody got a number for Shaq's wife?

11.  Britney losing the kids is fucked up but it was bound to happen. She's fucked up in the game. Anybody got Britney's number/

12.  Brothers stabbing each other in front of moms? Niggas need to lay off the Petrone.

13. THe noose doesn't surprise me. No organization is more racist than the police dept except for maybe the Fire Dept and that's in NYC where races mix freely. In a town like Jena... I'm sure it's 100 times worse.

LL's not coolin' off he's giving Jay a chance. If the talks go bad I guarantee he'll have a song out the next day. It's not LL's style to be a bully but he will go in on you if you fuck up. Ask Canibus.

50's so popular cats can't even say anything about monkeys or gorillas without somebody thinkin' their dissin' him. A Common and Kanye battle would be the shit. Common would win easily though.

Keyshia Cole was bein' a bitch at the beginning of that interview.
She's not the only person that gets tired. You've gotta be professional. Beyonce does way more press than you boo and I've never heard a story about her bein' short with anybody. That's the difference between a star and a superstar.

I didn't know that's how Roxanne Shante ended up with a doctorate. That's what's up. More rappers should take notes. Get a $175,000 education instead of a $175,000 chain. A education is another one of those things that I'd rather have and not need, than need and not have.

Come on Mya. You can't be serious. (This applies to the comment and the video)

What problem do people have with Halle's baby? I guess stupid mutha fuckas can find anything to be mad about.

David Banner and Master P both had good points. It's all about where your life is. You can't force anybody to do anything. They have to go though their growing pains but it's still beneficial to learn from someone else's mistakes instead of makin' your own.

RIP to David Banner and Eve's record sales. They never had a chance. I wish record labels would just put albums out instead of tryin' to figure out what fans want to hear. More artists have had their careers ruined by their record labels than ones that actually fell off.

Illseed, you deserve much props b/c you keep us going here on the Rumors section and give us a opportunity to interact.  I think a lot of positivity has come out here.

Since it's already been started, let me pose a question.  Was Bob Marley killed for real?  We haven't even discussed this Man and the possibility that he was "offed" as well.  I used to believe that 'they' gave him cancer, but my science background informs me that you can't just inject someone with cancer.  If your body doesn't recognize the cells, then it will be considered foreign by your immune system and it would kill it.

Now, there are agents that could have been administered to induce cancer, that's a different story.

Whatever the case, Bob Marley was taken away from us way too early.

Here's another tidbit.  I believe that gov't technology is approx. 30 years ahead of the technology that we are familiar with.  I say this b/c you are aware that the Internet was available in the '60s!!  And we didn't get access to it until the mid 90s.  That's crazy.  Imagine what kind of things they have right now and we even know about it until the year 2040?

Peace to everybody holdin' it down.

Goverment workers get the same garbage technology that everyone else does. If the goverment was smart they would spend more money on furthuring thier capabilities but they dont.

Gr8 question fam, I herd this thing A while ago, I was talkin to My My bredren about it da other week, I rekon CIA killed Him, not by injection, by A cooper wire they put in His boot,
check it out:
Did a soccer accident really cause Bob Marley's death, as has been widely reported? Or was the dark hand of CIA covert operations behind the death of the greatest countercultural prophet of our time?

Marley knew the drill-in Jamaica, at the height of his success, when music and politics were still one, before the fog of censorship rolled into the island, old wounds were opened by a wave of destabilization politics. Stories appeared in the local, regional and international press downsizing the achievements of the quasi-socialist Jamaican government under Prime Minister Michael Manley. In the late 1970s, the island was flooded with cheap guns, heroin, cocaine, right-wing propaganda, death-squad rule and, as Grenada's Prime Minister Maurice Bishop described it three years later, the CIA's "pernicious attempts [to] wreck the economy."

"Destabilization," Bishop told the emergent New Jewel Party, "is the name given the most recently developed method of controlling and exploiting the lives and resources of a country and its people by a bigger and more powerful country through bullying, intimidation and violence."

In response to the fascistic machinations of the CIA, Marley wove his lyrics into a revolutionary crucifix to ward off the cloak-and-dagger "vampires" descending upon the island. June 1976: Then-Governor-General Florizel Glasspole placed Jamaica under martial law to stanch the bloody pre-election violence. Prime Minister Manley's People's National Party asked the Wailers to play at the Smile Jamaica concert in December. Despite the rising political mayhem, Marley agreed to perform.

In late November, a death squad slipped beneath the gates at Marley's home on Hope Road in Kingston. As biographer Timothy White tells it, at about 9 PM, "the torpor of the quiet tropical night was interrupted by a queer noise that was not quite like a firecracker." Marley was in the kitchen at the rear of the house eating a grapefruit when he heard the bursts of automatic gunfire. Don Taylor, Marley's manager, had been talking to the musician when the bullets ripped through the back of his legs. The men were "peppering the house with a barrage of rifle and pistol fire, shattering windows and splintering plaster and woodwork on the first floor." Rita Marley, trying to escape with her children and a reporter from the Jamaica Daily News, was shot by one of the men in the front yard. The bullet caught her in the head, lifting her off her feet as it burrowed between scalp and skull.

Meanwhile, a man with an automatic rifle had burst through the back door off the pantry, pushing past a fleeing Seeco Patterson, the Wailers' percussionist, to aim beyond Don Taylor at Bob Marley. The gunman got off eight shots. One bullet struck a counter, another buried itself in the ceiling, and five tore into Taylor. He fell but remained conscious, with four bullets in his legs and one buried at the base of his spine. The last shot creased Marley's breast below his heart and drilled deep into his arm.

The survival of the reggae singer and his entire entourage appeared to be the work of Rasta. "The firepower these guys apparently brought with them was immense," Wailers publicist Jeff Walker recalls. "There were bullet holes everywhere. In the kitchen, the bathroom, the living room, floors, ceilings, doorways and outside." There has since been widespread belief that the CIA arranged the hit on Hope Road. Neville Garrick, a Marley insider and former art director of the Jamaica Daily News, had film of "suspicious characters" lurking near the house before the assassination attempt. The day of the shooting, he had snapped some photos of Marley standing beside a Volkswagen in a pool of mango-tree shade. The strangers in the background made Marley nervous; he told Garrick that they appeared to be "scouting" the property. In the prints, however, their features were too blurred by shadow to make out. After the concert, Garrick took the photographs and prints to Nassau. Sadly, while the Wailers and crew prepared to board a flight to London, he discovered that the film had been stolen. Many of the CIA's files on Bob Marley remain classified to the present day. However, on December 5, 1976, a week after the assault on Hope Road, the Wailers appeared at the Smile Jamaica fest, despite their wounds, to perform one long, defiant anthem of rage directed at the CIA-"War"-suggesting the Wailers' own attitude toward the "vampires" from Langley:

Until the ignoble and unhappy regimes
That now hold our brothers
In Angola, in Mozambique,
South Africa
In subhuman bondage
Have been toppled,
Utterly destroyed,
Everywhere is war..

Only a handful of Marley's most trusted comrades knew of the band's whereabouts before the festival. Yet a member of the film crew, or so he claimed-reportedly, he didn't have a camera-managed to talk his way past machete-bearing Rastas to enter the Hope Road encampment: one Carl Colby, son of the late CIA director William Colby.

While the band prepared for the concert, a gift was delivered, according to a witness at the enclave-a new pair of boots for Bob Marley. Former Los Angeles cinematographer Lee Lew-Lee (his camera work can be seen in the Oscar-winning documentary The Panama Deception) was close friends with members of the Wailers, and he believes that Marley's cancer can be traced to the boots: "He put his foot in and said, 'Ow!' A friend got in there.. he said, 'let's [get] in the boot, and he pulled a length of copper wire out-it was embedded in the boot."

Had the wire been treated chemically with a carcinogenic toxin? The appearance of Colby at Marley's compound was certainly provocative. (And so was Colby's subsequent part in the fall of another black cultural icon, O.J. Simpson, nearly 20 years later. At Simpson's preliminary hearing in 1995, Colby-who resided next door to Nicole Simpson on Gretna Green Way in Brentwood, a mile from her residence on Bundy-and his wife both took the stand to testify for the prosecution that Nicole's ex-husband had badgered and threatened her. Colby's testimony was instrumental in the formal charge of murder filed against Simpson and the nationally televised fiasco known as the "Trial of the Century.")

Seventeen years after the Hope Road assault, Don Taylor published a memoir, Marley and Me, in which he alleges that a "senior CIA agent" had been planted among the crew as part of the plan to "assassinate" Marley. It's possible that this lapse in security allowed Colby entrance to the compound. It's clear that the CIA wanted Marley out of the picture. After the assassination attempt, a rumor circulated that the CIA was going to finish Marley off. The source of the rumor was the agency itself. The Wailers had set out on a world tour, and CIA agents informed Marley that should he return to Jamaica before the election, he would be murdered.

Taylor and others close to Marley suspect that it was more than a threat. Lew-Lee recalls: "I didn't think so at the time, but I've always had my suspicions because Marley later broke his toe playing soccer, and when the bone wouldn't mend the doctors found that the toe had cancer. The cancer metastasized throughout his body, but [Marley] believed he could fight this thing." British researcher Michael Conally observes: "They certainly had reasons for wanting to. For one, Marley's highly charged message music made him an important figure that the rest of the world was beginning to notice. It was an influence that was hard to ignore, least of all because everywhere you went you saw middle- and upper-class white people sprouting dreadlocks, smoking spliffs and adopting the Rastafarian lifestyle. This sort of thing didn't sit well with traditionalists and authoritarian types."

The soccer game took place in Paris in 1977, five months after the boot incident. Marley took to the field with one of the leading teams in the country to break the monotony of the Wailers' "Exodus" tour. His right toe was injured in a tackle. The toenail came off. At first, it wasn't considered a serious wound.

But it would not heal. Marley was limping by July and consulted a physician, who was shocked by the toe's appearance. It was so eaten away that doctors in London advised it be amputated. Marley's religion forbade it: "Rasta no abide amputation," he insisted. He told the physician, "De living God, His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, Ras Tafari, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah.. He will heal me wit' de meditations of me ganja chalice." No scalpel, he said, "will crease me flesh... C'yant kill Rasta. Rastamon live out."

He flew to Miami and Dr. William Bacon performed a skin graft on the lesion. The disease lingered undiagnosed and spread throughout his body.

Isaac Fergusson, a friend and devotee, observed the slow death of Bob Marley firsthand. In the three years separating soccer injury from cancer diagnosis, Marley remained immersed in music, "ignoring the advice of doctors and close associates that he stop and obtain a thorough medical examination." He refused to give up recording and touring long enough to consult a doctor. Marley "would have to quit the stage and it would take years to recoup the momentum. This was his time and he seized upon it. Whenever he went into the studio to record, he did enough for two albums. Marley would drink his fish tea, eat his rice-and-peas stew, roll himself about six spliffs and go to work. With incredible energy and determination, he kept strumming his guitar, maybe 12 hours, sometimes till daybreak." Reggae artist Jimmy Cliff observed after Marley's death: "What I know now is that Bob finished all he had to do on this earth." Marley was aware by 1977 that he was dying, and set out to condense a lifetime of music into the few years remaining.

Hello All,

@MEv(dont remember the rest of the spelling), but you told me to do some research on COINTELPRO. THanx a lot, that info was very informative. I was at work all day read up on it. I just made me think about a lot of ish that isnt right in this country. NOw I see why people say, you laugh @ death and Cry @ birth. It's b/c when u die ur in a better place than u are when ur borned into this Hell on earth country. THat's just my opinion, some will agree some will not. As long as we as a community can agree to disagree its all good~

Do we really care about Cam? Shit does Cam care about Cam? When you respect yourself, others will to.

@mu$h da great, that's so sad, another sad part of that, she called the father of the children to tell him they are resting in peace. WTF, that alone, tells me she was trying to hurt him by killing her girls. What's wrong w/ these people nowadays. She's going to suffer, when she start having dreams of them and really realize she's the one who took their lives. She's the DEVIL. She should be sent to prison for the rest of her natural born life, so she can reflect on what she did.

Ok, Im starting to get sick of the JAy and LL battle rumor. Lets get it going already or STFU~

Listen that story w/ Lil Wayne and his mother, its a lot of people that encourage their kids to have kids for their own needs. His mother had to be a drop out(not that its an excuse, but it might explain the mentality)! What grown adult in their RIGHT MIND, would encourage their young BLACK son to have a baby w/ just anyones who's down? Doesnt make sense, its more to the story. It just has to be, u cant be that damn lonely, get a job and puppy. DAmn she couldve even brought a dildo, that would keep her occupied. Just keep showing others who think low of us that we are ignorance. That was some real N-word shit there.

American Gangsta the Album and NAs greatest hits, Im getting both. Sorry I couldnt say the same for Kanye and 5-0, I only purchased Kanye's album.

@Bossup, I posted something for u yesterday, you had the name correct, you just left off Mind. I read the book u were talking about yesterday. Its called the Mis-Education of the Negro Mind~ Ur only 19 and ur being informed brother. You are our future. TAke hold of knowledge and self power. You could guide this country one day!

I like Keyshia Cole and she maybe 2 real for some. She needs to tone down the hood mentality and become a little more professional. This is what you love why be mad @ someone interviewing you? Or give them an attitude? That can put a hold on other things to come in the future for u. As a name in the industry when ur popular u become a brand. U want to be able to sell urself, but if people hear rumors or interviews of ur nasty attitude towards the people that support u it can hurt u more.

I need some more knowledge of the unknown, drop some jewels on the lady right here! She loves to be informed, they say you stupid for 5 mins b/c u dont know until u ask questions but if u dont ask questions ur stupid forever! What you think about that? I could be saying it wrong, but u get where Im coming from~

A sister raised her fist and pumped it like this!

some of the things I don't know about football

1. Why the Chargers run the ball 6 times in the 2nd half with the lead, and LT rushed for over 100 yds in the first half.

2. Why is Jon Kitna good this year? He's on the lions!

3. What is happening to the Ravens D? They DO still have Ed Reed and co.

4. Why the Philly Birds (eagles) won't release their injury report. I got lucky and won but I had Brian Westbrook in the game for fantasy, and that hoe face didn't even play.

5. Why people refuse to double cover Randy Moss..oh wait, because it doesn't matter. The patriots MIGHT lose a game. Just one. maybe. but probably not.

In the college game, there's a lot but my main thing I don't understand is when teams line up with the RB taking the direct snap, how you dont put 9 in the box and have your corners in man coverage. you know he's gonna run. if he passes, let him, there's a reason he doens't play QB..because he can't throw.

The Seventh Seal said:

Targets of Satan:

To establish a One World Government/New World Order with a unified church and monetary system under their direction. The One World Government began to set up its church in the 1920:s and 30:s, for they realized the need for a religious belief inherent in mankind must have an outlet and, therefore, set up a "church" body to channel that belief in the direction they desired.

To bring about the utter destruction of all national identity and national pride, which was a primary consideration if the concept of a One World Government was to work.

To engineer and bring about the destruction of religion, and more especially, the Christian Religion, with the one exception, their own creation, as mentioned above.

To establish the ability to control of each and every person through means of mind control and what Zbignew Brzezinski called techonotronics, which would create human-like robots and a system of terror which would make Felix Dzerzinhski's Red Terror look like children at play.

To bring about the end to all industrialization and the production of nuclear generated electric power in what they call "the post-industrial zero-growth society". Excepted are the computer- and service industries. US industries that remain will be exported to countries such as Mexico where abundant slave labor is available. As we saw in 1993, this has become a fact through the passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement, known as NAFTA. Unemployables in the US, in the wake of industrial destruction, will either become opium-heroin and/or cocaine addicts, or become statistics in the elimination of the "excess population" process we know of today as Global 2000.

To encourage, and eventually legalize the use of drugs and make pornography an "art-form", which will be widely accepted and, eventually, become quite commonplace.

To bring about depopulation of large cities according to the trial run carried out by the Pol Pot regime in Cambodia. It is interesting to note that Pol Pot's genocidal plans were drawn up in the US by one of the Club of Rome's research foundations, and overseen by Thomas Enders, a high-ranking State Department official. It is also interesting that the committee is currently seeking to reinstate the Pol Pot butchers in Cambodia.

To suppress all scientific development except for those deemed beneficial by the Illuminati. Especially targeted is nuclear energy for peaceful purposes. Particularly hated are the fusion experiments currently being scorned and ridiculed by the Illuminati and its jackals of the press. Development of the fusion torch would blow the Illuminati's conception of "limited natural resources" right out of the window. A fusion torch, properly used, could create unlimited and as yet untapped natural resources, even from the most ordinary substances. Fusion torch uses are legion, and would benefit mankind in a manner which, as yet, is not even remotely comprehended by the public.

To cause. by means of limited wars in the advanced countries, by means of starvation and diseases in the Third World countries, the death of three billion people by the year 2050, people they call "useless eaters". The Committee of 300 (Illuminati) commissioned Cyrus Vance to write a paper on this subject of how to bring about such genocide. The paper was produced under the title "Global 2000 Report" and was accepted and approved for action by former President James Earl Carter, and Edwin Muskie, then Secretary of States, for and on behalf of the US Government. Under the terms of the Global 2000 Report, the population of the US is to be reduced by 100 million by the year of 2050.

To weaken the moral fiber of the nation and to demoralize workers in the labor class by creating mass unemployment. As jobs dwindle due to the post industrial zero growth policies introduced by the Club of Rome, the report envisages demoralized and discouraged workers resorting to alcohol and drugs. The youth of the land will be encouraged by means of rock music and drugs to rebel against the status quo, thus undermining and eventually destroying the family unit. In this regard, the Committee commissioned Tavistock Institute to prepare a blueprint as to how this could be achieved. Tavistock directed Stanford Research to undertake the work under the direction of Professor Willis Harmon. This work later became known as the "Aquarian Conspiracy".

To keep people everywhere from deciding their own destinies by means of one created crisis after another and then "managing" such crises. This will confuse and demoralize the population to the extent where faced with too many choices, apathy on a massive scale will result. In the case of the US, an agency for Crisis Management is already in place. It is called the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), whose existence I first enclosed in 1980.

To introduce new cults and continue to boost those already functioning which include rock music gangsters such as the Rolling Stones (a gangster group much favored by European Black Nobility), and all of the Tavistock-created rock groups which began with the Beatles.

To continue to build up the cult of Christian Fundamentalism begun by the British East India Company's servant Darby, which will be misused to strengthen the Zionist State of Israel by identifying with the Jews through the myth of "God's chosen people", and by donating very substantial amounts of money to what they mistakenly believe is a religious cause in the furtherance of Christianity.

To press for the spread of religious cults such as the Moslem Brotherhood, Moslem Fundamentalism, the Sikhs, and to carry out mind control experiments of the Jim Jones and "Son of Sam" type. It is worth noting that the late Khomeini was a creation of British Military Intelligence Div. 6, MI6. This detailed work spelled out the step-by-step process which the US Government implemented to put Khomeini in power.

To export "religious liberation" ideas around the world so as to undermine all existing religions, but more especially the Christian religion. This began with the "Jesuit Liberation Theology", that brought an end to the Somoza Family rule in Nicaragua, and which today is destroying El Salvador, now 25 years into a "civil war". Costa Rica and Honduras are also embroiled in revolutionary activities, instigated by the Jesuits. One very active entity engaged in the so-called liberation theology, is the Communist-oriented Mary Knoll Mission. This accounts for the extensive media attention to the murder of four of Mary Knoll's so-called nuns in El Salvador a few years ago. The four nuns were Communist subversive agents and their activities were widely documented by the Government of El Salvador. The US press and the new media refused to give any space or coverage to the mass of documentation possessed by the Salvadorian Government, which proved what the Mary Knoll Mission nuns were doing in the country. Mary Knoll is in service in many countries, and placed a leading role in bringing Communism to Rhodesia, Moçambique, Angola and South Africa.

To cause a total collapse of the world's economies and engender total political chaos.

To take control of all foreign and domestic policies of the US.

To give the fullest support to supranational institutions such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Bank of International Settlements, the World Court and, as far as possible, make local institutions less effective, by gradually phasing them out or bringing them under the mantle of the UN.

To penetrate and subvert all governments, and work from within them to destroy the sovereign integrity of the nations represented by them.

To organize a world-wide terrorist apparatus and to negotiate with terrorists whenever terrorist activities take place. It will be recalled that it was Bettino Craxi, who persuaded the Italian and US Governments to negotiate with the Red Brigades kidnapers of Prime Minister Moro and General Dozier. As an aside, Dozier was placed under strict orders not to talk what happened to him. Should he ever break that silence, he will no doubt be mad "a horrible example of", in the manner in which Henry Kissinger dealt with Aldo Moro, Ali Bhutto and General Zia ul Haq.

To take control of education in America with the intent and purpose of utterly and completely destroying it. By 1993, the full force effect of this policy is becoming apparent, and will be even more destructive as primary and secondary schools begin to teach "Outcome Based Education" (OBE).

It should be noted that Bill Cooper was a high ranking Naval Officer who had many top secret documents pass through his possession.  His book got him killed.  He was killed less than two months after 9-11-01.  Sheriffs served him with a warrant and for some reason a shootout took place and Bill was killed.  I'm pretty sure he knew they would get him eventually.

"When we examined her it turned out she was nine months pregnant," Dr. Robert Chef told Expatica. "The child was carrying a full term baby."

Mother and son recovered in the children's ward where the classmate-father visited.

The baby is being raised by the girl's grandmother, Expatica said.

He was just tolerable and his beats where nice.

@Sneakerpimps...

I got beat last week in Beers League but I had most of my team on bye.  And if I wouldve started Dallas clark I wouldve won, but I benched him, it was a game time decision.
Plus the computer gave me that loss...bullshit I'm still protesting it.
In AHH league I got you this week, plus I got Favre on the Trading block, go and check.

aiight.. you gotta peep this.. you know Lou Pearlman.. the dude who put together the back street boys and n-sync.. and stole all that cash...

the NYPost did a story on him..
http://www.nypost.com/seven/10022007/gossip/pagesix/pagesix.htm

peep it:

October 2, 2007 -- LOU Pearlman - the hog-fat, boy-band honcho who created *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys and launched the careers of Justin Timberlake and Nick Carter - was a pervy pedophile who preyed on the young men he mentored, Vanity Fair reports.

"I would absolutely say the guy was a sexual predator. All the talent knew what Lou's game was," Steve Mooney, an aspiring singer who was Pearlman's assistant, told VF's Bryan Burrough. "Some guys joked about it. I remember [one singer] asking me, 'Have you let Lou [fellate] you yet?' "

Mooney said he once asked Pearlman, who was known as "Big Poppa," what it would take for him to get into a band. "I'll never forget this as long as I live. He leaned back in his chair, in his white terry cloth robe and white underwear, and spread his legs," Mooney told Burrough. "And then he said, and these were his exact words, 'You're a smart boy. Figure it out.' " Mooney added that a singer groped by Pearlman told him, "Look, if a guy wants to massage me, and I'm getting a million dollars for it, you just go along with it. It's the price you got to pay."

Phoenix Stone, an early member of the Backstreet Boys, tells Vanity Fair Pearlman was "definitely inappropriate" with Nick Carter. Nick's mom, Jane Carter, wouldn't get into specifics, but said, "Certain things happened and it almost destroyed our family. I tried to warn everyone. I tried to warn all the mothers . . . I tried to expose him for what he was years ago."

Tim Christofore, a member of Take 5, recalls that during a sleepover at Pearlman's house, the music czar swan-dived onto his and another boy's bed and wrestled with them wearing only in a towel, which came off. "We were like, 'Ooh, Lou, that's gross.' What did I know? I was 13," Christofore told Vanity Fair.

Rich Cronin, lead singer of LFO, recalled Pearlman told him of an "ancient massage technique that if I massage you and we bond in a certain way, it will strengthen your aura."

Pearlman, 53, is in a Florida jail awaiting trial on bank fraud charges. Prosecutors say he scammed more than 1,000 investors out of $315 million. He'd been a fugitive until June when he was busted in Indonesia, living under a fake name. His lawyer did not return calls from Page Six.

BFG, I thought about that extensively.

If dude resurfaces then I will abruptly decline commenting about him.

In fact, let's let this hour be the last time we acknowledge dude.
This attention can be empowering to him.

So after this I'm completely droppin him altogether.
All in favor say "aye" and let's keep it moving.

But...

But...

Boom, this is what I thought about the "blackface" comments as you put it.

Now his story is he didn't write them.
And somebody else has access to the computer.

Now that leads me two directions.

One.
This is my strongest conviction.

He really is a black dude that may or may not have come up around the way and he's using the psychology of the classic thank you Black People letter from James Clingman to motivate people.

http://www.blackthinktank.com/html/think_about_it.html

I believe both postings were made by him in an effort to motivate through tough love.

Or...

Of course we can go with the obvious: He was a disenfranchised racist white dude who wears a mask around his black "friends" like 518P (sike! I'm just fuckin' wif you).

But seriously, around people of color who can't see through him and detect his inherently racist ways.

Funny but both of these cases make interesting studies on reading people.

But can I bail out now and leave this dude alone?

Good thing about him is they usually play from behind so he has to throw the ball. But I agree, I can't remember the last time RB's were playing this poorly. It's across the board too, From L.T, L.J, On down. Addai has been decent and Henry but it's hit and miss. Nothin really consistent. Dwayne Bowe has surprised me too, but thats another one of those play from behind deals, and they have no other recievers other than that one guy who plays tight end. Lol.

When did we start saying "that's gangsta" to mean going for opportunity in a Black way?

example above:
ROXANNE SHANTE IS 1000% MORE GANGSTA THAN ANY RAPPER

In the video Roxanne says she said yes to WEA who had offered her an education, in fact taking it much further than expected, getting  a PHD in medical school.

Even when someone gets an education must we refer to it as "gangsta"?  Suggesting that it is cool mainly because WEA was perhaps expecting more commitment from her as an artist and that her getting an education some sort of "hustle" some sort of gangsta hustle made Black because it seems to cheat the "system".
Is that the main thing that's good about it or getting an education the main thing? Do you think she held up her diploma at her commencement and said "I'm a true gangsta now"?

Why has Black culture come to the point that we have to describe people showing initiative, or Black positive things in general as being "gangsta"? Why have we allowed Hip Hop to be defined by gangsterism?

The guy I heard who really started using that terminology. "that's gangsta"  to call things that really had nothing to do with gangsterism was Star from Star and Bucwild show on Hot 97.

But where is that fool now? I wish some of us would drop that and stop seeing John Gotti and Scarface as God.

i agree w/ u. i'll let sleeping dogs lie...from this point on. but my theory is similar to urs.

1) he's a black dude that is just tryna spark controversy, talking out the side of his neck to get folks fired up. which if so, he accomplished his task.

OR

2) he's a white dude that doesn't feel secure in his identity and is feeling disempowered (disenfranchised, as u stated). maybe not financially if he is truly a daytrader. however, he is unhappy in life for reasons he is probably unaware of. thus, he is lashing out at the perceived enemy. additionally, from the point of view he presented, he is def. a wicked and corrupt capitalist, a racist living under the shroud of unacknowledged white privilege and power who continues to benefit from institutional racism while arguing that it doesn't exist in regards to people of color, specifically black.

being that he previously admitted he was a white guy, i think he's along the lines of #2. maybe he just thought he was so much under the radar that he could make the black face comment w/o anyone noticing. maybe he thinks that if he fronted like he was black in that particular comment that his opinion would hold more weight. maybe he does got a black co-worker that is a straight sucka and mark, who did actually make that comment, but doesn't know the devil he is really f**king with. who knows, i guess the real question is: who really cares, huh?

ur right this conversation serves no purpose other than to feed his ego and empower him. to me, he's officially non-existent 2.

ay, i appreciate ur question regarding Bob Marley, as there is not a lot of discussion of Reggae on this site...nevertheless, he is on top of my list of most admired individuals/leaders/prophets right along with Malcolm X and Tupac. his life and legacy is very deep and meaningful, and sadly many people in the U.S. don't really know anything about him and what he really represents. it is especially sad that more Black folks aren't up on his story because he cared about the black diaspora and was def. aware of the Black plight in the U.S. "Buffalo Soldier" is a direct example of that.

i was raised on Bob since my earliest of days, as my 2nd fake father was an Ethiopian/Arabic muslim and definitely a follower of his music since it's inception. if u check my disc changer, 3 out of 6 cds are related to him: 1) long ass mp3 mix of Bob Marley 2) long ass mp3 mix of Jr. Gong (Damian Marley) all produced by Stephen Marley and 3) Stephen Marley-Mind Control

anyway, i know the story of his life and death. however, i had never really considered whether he was a victim of foul play prior to today. i def. want to research that more. however, i do not in any way doubt the possibility. that's good food for thought.

finally i just want to say anybody sleepin on Reggae, especially the Marleys, need to wake up. while we are mad that Hip Hop isn't representing the right values and the community overall properly, guess what? their music is doing just that: Promoting Unity, One Love, Black Empowerment, Social Consciousness,  Giving Respect to the Most High and more.

let's speak on that...

i peeped that Hip Hop vs. America 2. the scholar Dr. Michael Eric Dyson (or is Eric Michael Dyson, i always mix that up!) is a str8 G. he got so much knowledge OMG! fools better stop sleepin on him (and Dr. Cornel West). unfortunately, i think that much of what they are talking about is above the heads of regular folks imo.

i can't watch the clips at work, so i don't know what parts u got up there. but did u see when Dyson was making the comparison between black women in slavery days vs. the representation of them in current Hip Hop videos? his point was that their objectification and exploitation is basically equivalent to their treatment in slavery as objects: sexually and labor-wise. today in videos they represent the sexual aspect and nothing more.

anyway, i like T.I. and all that, but his response was "when they (the audience) sees those videos they are not thinking like that, they are not making that connection." i had to laugh...out loud! so because someone is ignorant to the fact, that makes it less true?????

NO, in fact, i might argue that it actually perpetuates and re-inforces the reality without so much as opposition, let alone resistance. ignorance might be bliss, but it does not alter reality. then again, reality is a whole nother argument, huh? what y'all think of that?

NEway, T.I. still sexy tho. ;D LOL

Hey Y'all, wussup? Done workin for the man for the day! Speakin' of workin for the man, as I have said before I'm from Canada; The Frozen North, and just to let you know; my money is buyin me some shit these days! Goin up and up and up. "Why?", you ask. Cause we got OIL!! I work in Alberta, in "The Oilpatch", as we call it. Few people, more oil than Saudi Arabia. And only the world's longest undefended border beteween us and the most powerful, money hungry country on the planet. Hundreds of companies drill for oil here, the overwhelming majority are American. Cheny's boys, Bush's boys, they're all up here just fuckin' lootin'. Of course there's a little trickledown money for those willing to work for it, but things are getting out of hand. Our government has become drunk on US oil money. They just realized that Canada only charges a percentage of what the rest of the the world (i.e. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Venezuela) charges for resource royalties, so they decided to form a committee to get to the bottom of it. When the American oil companies hears this they threatened to pull billions of dollars out of Canada. Where I live whole neighbourhoods spring up overnight. Housing is so scarce that the average price for a single family home is $400,000. The population is growing so fast it's insane, people from all over the world coming to a place where they think they will find prosperity. It's a lie! Sure there's money to be made, but the police don't report crime to the media, for fear of losing investments. It's all built on American power and influence. Some of the richest and oldest families are Masons. There's more drugs here, crime here, murder here, than ever before. I gotta tell ya, I don't like it one bit.

I was co signin the hell out what you were sayin yesterday to that guy..money aint shit. hooray for you. you got some, what you want a cookie or somethin? The question isn't if you got money, it's what you're doin with it. When I was a kid, and didn't have shit, one of my friends parents used to put a little bit of money in my pocket cuz I gave her son a ride to school every day, and said "what's the point of having money if you can't help your friends who need it? What's good in having nice things if you aren't sharing what you've been blessed with?" That shit changed the way I looked at money.

Shit is hot down here man, still 90+ degrees every single day, and I STILL can't find a job. I'm down to move to find one at this point..shit is rough.

so i was thinking some more about Bob Marley getting poisoned, like fa real?????? never tripped off that, despite the fact that i did know an asassination (sp?) attempt was made upon him b4. didn't make that connection. i feel kinda dumb for that, to be honest...i guess that's due to my understanding of cancer in the past. that's the story i always read or knew.

anyway still don't know if i believe it or not cause i haven't researched nothing myself. but i did trip that only in that last idk couple years maybe, that it's been accepted/publicized there is a type of cancer that is caused by a virus. certain type of cervical cancer is supposedly caused by a virus and they got a vaccine. they are tryna require it to be an immunization for school, during middle school years. maybe in just some states, i 4get. but they want 12 yr. old girls to be vaccinated. what y'all think about that?

anyway b4 i heard all that, i had always considered cancer as something that would idk just develop in a person, maybe due to environmental factors, maybe for no apparent reason at all. now they're saying it can be a virus.

two questions:
1) how exactly would a woman get a virus in or around her cervix? (sarcasm)

2) how many other kinds of cancers are caused by virus?

blood, u r so right about the money thing. i def. don't live my life as driven by money. i'm cool on that.

and that's my issue with the materialism in hip hop. they got money and want to flaunt in the faces of hella broke ass people that support them. they say music don't influence people but to me that's bullshit. all this emphasis on excessive materialism is like a disease, it spreads and it's deadly.

i know i'm influenced in my own way cause that $$$$ emphasis makes me reject it even more than i believe i naturally would. but don't get me wrong, i don't plan on living broke, shit i got kids. i'm tryna have them living right. plus i didn't go to school for soooo damn long to be broke, i'm (legally) hustlin right now. but i don't aspire to be hella rich (at least that is not primary focus in my career). i'm cool being comfortable, well invested, u know. @ BFG

dont' worry I wont say what happens in the fight, im not gonna play the spoiler role

but anyone who says music doesn't influence people is talkin retarded..I think its become a big circle..people influence the people who make the music who in turn influence the people who listen to the music, who then influence someone else who's gonna be makin the music and so on and so on..It's the same with TV..especially as a kid..what you see and what you think is cool is what you strive to be/act like and it affects your outcome in life. However small it might be, the way you dress, the words you use, your mannerisms, the people you hang out with, the things you do.

you're doin it right, IMO..if you're main goal at the end of the day is to be rich, then you're gonna do what you gotta do, and snake the people you gotta snake to get there. It's not like that for everyone, because I know people who are rich off of hard work and establishing genuine friendships/connections. But their main goal was to be able to take care of their family, have a roof over their head, food on their table and clothes on their back.

I got another question for everybody..my boy recently started going to NA meetings (narcotics annonymous) and asked me to go. I dont want to because I dont believe in some of the things they teach (that addiction is a disease, or you will always be an addict).

What you think? Is addiction a disease? If you're an addict, will you always be one?

pulitzer prize winning l.a. times investigative journalist, chuck phillips, is conspiring with the jailhouse witness that links lapd rampart cops david mack & rafael perez to killing big, where the witness recanted his entire sworn statement & phillips wrote a times story to overturn his armed robbery/murder life term.  phillips "proves" big was killed by southside crips, but rolling stone smashes his case.

Man it's gettin cold up here! But that's when the work starts. Alot of northern Canada is swampland called 'Muskeg". The still rotting bottom of an ancient ocean. That's where the oil is, so they gotta wait for the ground to freeze before they can get to the big deposits of oil and natural gas. So I'm about to get busy with that shit. Man, there's nothing but work up here! Just nowhere to live. We're bending over backwards for that oil money, now the US and Canadian governments are talking about an 'Open Skies" policy. We'll be living in the same country soon enough.

You're not missing much. It's just a picture my girl took of me havin a Beck's. I'm trippin off that video of the FEMA camps. I don't usually give much credence to that YouTube shit; cause I think it's as much disinformation as it is information - but that has me shook. That's no UFO, or bad footage of ghosts or any of that. That is real. I've been to the concentration camps in Germany and it's the same. You don't build that kind of shit if you don't have a use for it.

I don't see anything wrong with Jay running Def Jam.  I think he is doing a good job over there.  People act like it's all his fault they ain't sellin Cd's, like they were sellin CD's before he got in office.  He's a business man at the end of the day.  He's gonna put in more money where he feels he'll make it back.  Neyo and Rihanna are probably doing the best besides Kanye.  Jeezy is also successful.  As a rapper u have ta understand Jay's position, when they started Roc a fella, they promoted themselves(when they first started) and got their sales.  At some point in time u gotta do you, that's just my opinion though

D.C. Teen Shot by Officer Was Hit in Back of Head
Autopsy Also Shows Unexplained Injuries

By Carol D. Leonnig
Washington Post Staff Writer
Wednesday, October 3, 2007; B01

The 14-year-old killed last month in a confrontation with D.C. police died of a gunshot wound to the back of his head, according to a newly obtained autopsy report.

The report also notes numerous unexplained cuts and bruises from blunt force trauma on the body of DeOnté Rawlings, especially the left side of his face, shoulder and back. The report offers no conclusions about police conduct or what caused the injuries.

"The body has some blunt force injuries including abrasions, contusions and lacerations and a single perforating gunshot wound," wrote A. Wayne Williams, a pathologist with the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Describing the gunshot wound, Williams wrote: "the overall pathway . . . is back to front, left to right and slightly upward."

The report, obtained yesterday by The Washington Post, marks the first time authorities have said DeOnté was shot in the back of the head in the Sept. 17 confrontation in Southeast Washington. But it does not settle questions surrounding the case. Police have said DeOnté was shot in a running gun battle after he opened fire on two off-duty officers. The youth's family has challenged that account, pointing out that no gun was found at the scene.

Carrie Brooks, a spokeswoman for Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D), said last night that the mayor has not seen the autopsy report and wants to be briefed before commenting.

"Obviously, a 14-year-old being shot in the back of the head -- or anywhere, for that matter -- gives him grave concern," Brooks said.

The U.S. attorney's office, FBI and D.C. police are investigating events, and a grand jury is likely to take on the case. Authorities have said they have had trouble finding witnesses who might be able to confirm or rebut the police account.

According to police, Officer James Haskel asked fellow officer and friend Anthony Clay to help him find a minibike that Haskel believed had been stolen from his home in Southeast. Off duty and out of uniform, the officers went looking for the minibike in Haskel's sport-utility vehicle and found DeOnté riding it on nearby Atlantic Street SE, police have said. DeOnté shot at the officer, police said, and Haskel got out of the SUV, pursued the youth on foot and shot him.

The autopsy report, dated Sept. 27, describes DeOnté as 5-foot-2 and 102 pounds. It includes a toxicology analysis that found no traces of drugs or alcohol in his blood.

The report notes that the youth's hands and fingers had no obvious gunshot residue, powder or soot. Police have said they did not perform gunshot residue tests because they are unreliable.

Greg Lattimer, an attorney for the Rawlings family, said the medical examiner's findings -- especially those describing injuries on the side and back of his body -- are "extremely troubling" and cast doubt on the police version of events.

"A kid doesn't get shot in the back of the head and then give himself a bunch of traumatic injuries," Lattimer said. "He didn't fall off a building."

Channing Phillips, a spokesman for the U.S. attorney's office, said it would be inappropriate to comment while authorities are still gathering information and sifting through evidence. But some law enforcement authorities, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the case, said it is possible that DeOnté sustained injuries in a fall immediately after he was shot.

Kristopher Baumann, head of the Fraternal Order of Police lodge that represents the officers, declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation. Both officers have been placed on administrative leave, as is customary in police shooting cases.

Jonathan Arden, former chief medical examiner for the District, said in an interview that blunt force injuries are caused by the body striking something or being hit. He said the key to reconstructing events is looking for patterns that indicate whether the victim was hit or fell to the ground.

"You can have it because you are hit, or you can have impact with a surface," Arden said. "Depending on where you have the injury, and the possible pattern, you can distinguish between being hit and falling down."

For example, a series of impact injuries along bones that tend to stick out -- elbows, knees, cheekbones -- might indicate that the victim fell. "Could one fall cause all those injuries?" Arden asked. "Maybe. I'd want to see the injuries."

The autopsy was performed Sept. 18, the day after DeOnté's death. Besides the medical examiner, four police officers were present for the examination. They were identified by police as two 5th District detectives and two D.C. officers assigned to the crime la

WOW...

I see i missed a lot of thought provoking convo on here.  A couple dudes held it down though.

Hope yall didnt run the dude stateofgrace off the sight though.  teaching ignorance is still more powerful than ignoring it.  I want the dude to keep posting on here and giving his point of view.  The ironic thing about shunning those with opposite opinions and just talking to those with similar views, you end up preaching to the choir. Thats what happens to religion (I like you you and you, but lets ignore them).  You certainly cant solve a problem without analyzing it.

With all the convo, I probably payed most attention to the things that were posted by stateifgrace.  I mean I already share a lot of similar views with the other guys, but this dude right here, certainly had balls.  I think we should encourage more people like him to post on here (without the straight ignorance of course) but with legitimate, non-emotionally charged opinions.  Just straight up point of view Vs point of view.  Intelligent debate I guess.

All the intelligent black men and women on this site, I think its almost our duty (innate or self-prescribed) to represent our culture in the most effective manner during attacks on it.  So if you fight ignorance with ignorance, either everybody will be dead, or everybody will just ignore each other (hence the heart of ignorance).  After all, ignorance is such a cop out.  Its an easy way to handle a situation.

Ignorance is like momentum or energy.  I cannot be created nor destroyed, it just passes from one matter to the next.  Its a lot easier to be the one to knocks the dominoes down then it is to be the one who set them up...

Good convo tho people, sure hope I dont miss the next one...

SMH, it never ends. i was just having this discussion yesterday w/a family that i'm "seeing." the juvenile justice system is corrupt and fueled by political influence and capitalism. once boys become adolescents, and many girls lately 2, they are deemed the enemy. so normal adolescent mistakes become felony charges far too often. and police get away with murdering the future across the country on a daily.

jrzeema, i know u've been a soldier and i respect that. but they fighting a war in Iraq, while the youth are living in a war zone right here in urban America. i guess the police think that because the youngstas aren't valuing life, like in the past, they can kill the youth and it shouldn't matter!

when is our society gonna actually start protecting the youth? did y'all hear about the two sisters, age 2 & 4, that were found drowned in the bathtub? i guess they think mom murdered them vs. it being an accident. but i tried not to pay too close attention cause i'm sensitive about that type of shit...

also did y'all peep a few days ago Jubilee.Shine posted a clip about...damn i 4got what it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but anyway, following the clip he posted, i think from CNN.com, there was another story about this child abuse case that led to the death of a little girl named Melanie. she was a latina girl, i think 5 or 6 y.o. her parents had like idk 8 kids & i think mom was pregnant again. anyway she was the target of abuse by the whole family, including her siblings. and eventually the mother and/or father killed her. now that almost made me cry. it was such a savage and extreme case, really. look it up on CNN.com, it was called Melanie's Story. she deserves some attention, it was tragic.

Its to totally different kind of wars...... but i feel you young kids today are definelty fighting a war on the streets but where are the parents I always say that.... the first person to hel p a child shoudl be the person that brought that child into the world...
not saying that sometimes the parents arent there...
but the wars on the streets apart from the cops killing kids... occasionally is kids killing kids they are killing each other they need the older men in the community to let them see that this is wrong.. they need to come togethor and respect each other.
