The system is designed for us to fail.  I can't say it enough.  The education system is a joke.  We're not taught very much besides math that we need to know.  Ask yourself why high school and college doesn't properly teach us how to handle finances properly, invest and stay out of debt.  Why?  Because they want us to die in debt!  It's part of the game.

The credit system is flawed and it's for a reason.  They don't want us to have good credit, they want you to be fucked up, so when you're fortunate enough to get a loan, they hit you with high interest rates and suck you dry.  

How could they prosper if everyone was walking around here with perfect credit scores and 0% interest rates?  It's sickening.  The people who can least afford high interest rates and outrageous payments are the ones who suffer.  Rich people get 0% interest rates and we get fucked.

I don't think the track listing that is currently on iTunes is official.  If you read the pre-order information on iTues it says "American Gangster includes collaborations with Nas ('The Return"), T.I. ("American Gangster"), and Kanye West ("Vietnam War").

Either the Track listing isn't official or the album notes are wrong, so I wouldn't trust either of them.

GRAMBLING — The president of Grambling State University is investigating a case in which adults at the university-run elementary school put a noose around at least one child’s neck and chains around the necks of other students.

Photographs of the incident were posted on the online sites of the university’s student newspaper and The News Star of Monroe.

Kindergarten and first-grade students at Alma J. Brown Elementary School — a lab school under the university’s College of Education — were being taught why nooses are a symbol of racism, an online article from the historically black university’s student newspaper, The Gramblinite, said.

The article said the children also were being taught about the Jena Six — black high-school students accused of beating a white schoolmate. About 20,000 people last month descended on Jena, about 70 miles from Grambling, to protest the treatment of the black students.

The Rev. Al Sharpton and the Rev. Jesse Jackson have said the criminal charges against the black students were too severe and three white students suspended after hanging nooses from a tree on the Jena High campus three months earlier should have been expelled and prosecuted.

The date of the Grambling incident was not clear, and the article and the photos were removed from the university newspaper’s Web site.

University President Horace Judson said he ordered the photos removed from the Web site as soon as his secretary called him Friday to describe them. At the time, he said, he was driving to Dallas for Saturday’s football game against Prairie View.

Judson told The News Star of Monroe and the Ruston Daily Leader on Friday that he was starting an investigation immediately and would meet this morning with everyone involved.

This is at least the second time this year The Gramblinite has tangled with school administrators.

On Jan. 17, Provost Robert Dixon ordered the newspaper to stop publication, a move criticized as censorship by some alumni, the Student Press Law Center in Arlington, Va., and Gramblinite editor Darryl Smith. He accused Dixon of trying to block editorials criticizing the school’s maintenance and suggesting the state was trying to shut down the university.

Eight days later, Dixon said the newspaper had provided a satisfactory plan to end what he said was shoddy editing and plagiarism, and the paper could resume publication the following week.

The brief Gramblinite article about the elementary school incident said teachers had the students marching in the schoolyard and “even had a replica noose and explained why it is such a symbol of racism.” The article did not mention that a noose and chains were put around anyone’s neck. That was shown in photographs that The News Star of Monroe obtained by e-mail and e-mailed with the article to The Associated Press.

“We can’t tell who’s who in the photo,” Mike McQueen, chief of The AP bureau covering Louisiana and Mississippi, said when asked why the agency has not moved the photographs to its member news outlets.

“There are no captions, and no way to get in touch, at least right away, with the photographer or the (school newspaper) advisor,” McQueen told The Advocate in a telephone interview Sunday from the New Orleans bureau.

The Gramblinite is a college member of The AP, he said.

While the news agency does use photographs without identifying information, McQueen said, it does so only in special circumstances. He said these photographs have not reached that threshold.

The Advocate did not seek to independently publish the photographs because “we really don’t have any rights to the photographs except through The AP,” Managing Editor Milford Fryer said Sunday. “That is our official source for photographs.”

Fryer also said The Advocate would have the same reservations as The AP about publishing photographs without adequate identifying information.

The Daily Leader posted an article about the incident on its online edition, with a photograph showing children holding a hand-lettered banner with the word “free” visible. An editor’s note to the article says the newspaper was not using the photographs because of their graphic nature and to protect the children’s privacy.

The Daily Leader said the student paper sent it copies of photographs and the article Friday morning but later asked it not to use the photographs that had been removed from the Web site.

Two photographs from The News Star’s Web site show a young girl in a school uniform being hoisted by a woman while another adult, whose face is hidden by a tree, holds a noose around the girl’s neck and up to a branch. Other children are pictured watching.

Another photograph on that Web site shows two young boys with heavy chains around their necks while other students mill behind them.

The Daily Leader article said kindergarten and first-grade students circled their playground with their teachers as a “march” to protest “the imprisonment of Mychal Bell” in the Jena 6 case and the apparent “racial bias shown toward blacks in a small Louisiana town.”

Judson said Sean Warner, dean of the College of Education, has spoken with the principal of the elementary school about the incident.

“This is very serious. I will say that,” Judson told The News Star. “I’ll have a face-to-face meeting with everyone involved. We’re going to find out what the facts are. At this point, I don’t know if my students were involved.

“These are minors at our school, and this is a student paper that still must practice complete accountability,” he said.

Given the nature of the situation, Judson said, “it was certainly my judgment to take those pictures down.”

Fortunately, this professor said we didn't need the texbooks/workbooks for the course and that she will teach in her own way in which we can understand it better. She also said the books required for the course were horrible and if it were up to her, she would've never had recommended those books.

I went to school with all his little cousins..My boy has been dating one of his cousins for about 2 years now. Actually was watching one of the hearings on The Hill yesterday involving Blackwater and the price tag that the Rep From Hollywood Cali. put on the war was a Trillion Dollars.. I stop smokin weed a year ago because I felt like sometimes that shit was clouding my perception & detering me (mostly jobs & random piss tests lol). on the average I was smoking about 5 whole burners a day, sometimes more if I was wit my people.      even though I havnt smoked In a little over a  year I feel like if my situation permitted me I'd be on it. i feel you on the dependance, but how I'm lookin at it is that a disease is something you're infected with, and can't do shit about it, without medicine. With addiction, I think you make a conscious decision to start over using whatever it is (cigarettes, drugs, food, etc..) I don't think its something you'll be stuck with for your entire life, because I've seen people who were addicted to something and stopped and never picked it back up. I think thats something they tell you at those meetings to keep you coming back. I believe its something that you can put behind you, if you really want to. I think that with most people that relapse (some people do it and its a one time thing, a stupid mistake) never really wanted to quit in the first place, or weren't quitting for the right reasons.

I like a lot of shit I read from a lot of the dudes on here yesterday.  I went back and reread a lot of the stuff to make sure i didnt miss some important stuff.  In case anybody might wonder how I can find the time to do that (cause it is time consuming), I kind of work for myself.  Im a subcontractor for and insurance agent.  All my 1099 people know what im talking about.

I really like a lot of what 518p had to say.  Especially when things got heated and dude was breeding ignorance into a lot of the others.  518p kept his composure, Gawgabuoy did too.  I like a lot of Boss ups sentiments as well.  A little bit of Twon sometimes flows through my veins (especially with that mud video).  I identify with BP1 and BFG too.

I analyze and re analyze a lot of shit on a daily basis.  It goes back to that "chess-minded" people philosophy I have (the flipside is sometimes things get overanalyzed or get more emphasis than it should).  But I think I identify with a lot of yall dudes in one way or another.

I keep thinking about 518p's comment and actually stateofgrace touched on it too.  And its about the what do we plan to do question.  518p mentioned something about everybody venting their frustrations but not offering solutions.  Boss Up had a good point about everybody on here being a part of the solution in their individual way by the things they do in the outside world.  I agree with that.   But it seems that the biggest task for black men is and had been for a while, there ability to unite.  There ability to find a common ground amongst their many differences and consistently build on that similarity.  Greed, corruption, jealousy, women, etc generally divide these groups.

To make a long story short, a lot of us come on here and talk about the problems that our people as a whole have.  And most of it is right in the every sense.  But as 518 stated, there arent many offered solutions.  But what I also noticed is that the offered solutions dont get honored with respect of a comment...

Im sure many of you remember my call to black men to unite.  My man Black People 1 warned me of the powers that be possibly watching and all that.  But I aint scared of that.  Determination can only be stopped by the one who is determined not by the opposer.  We all know that you dont lose til you quit.

If my comments and ideas are honored with attention by the FBI, CIA, the gonvernment in general, COINTELPRO then I say to that that I am flattered.   That means I must be doing something right.

But I remember my open proposal to the intelligent Black Men on this site and left my yahoo instant messenger sn  (daboah2003) so that anybody could ge at me.  Ironically enough the person that answered my call was a woman (and my call was to black men), and that was Butrflygrl.

The answer to our issues is UNITY, point blank.  If black men unify, and im not talking by a religious affiliation or any other type of fashion besides motivated intelligence.  Cause all the other stuff is what excludes people and breeds separatism.  I want to start with black men, get that solidified, then move on to black woman (or have a black woman head that one as well), then move to minorities in general.  Then to people of all colors.  But we cant unite with others until we unite ourselves.  Get that bond locked, so that outsiders cant break it, then allow outsiders.  See MLK allowed outsiders to fund the march hence, watering it down.  He had sponsors and shit.  The revolution wont be televised. This is about as televised as Imma get (for all intents and purposes).  Malcolm and them  allowed jealousy, deceit, etc to ruin the beautiful union the NOI created.  Not to say they dont still have a following, but we al know it was seriously wounded.


But like I stated in my other post, its easier to be the one knocking down dominoes than it is to be the one setting and placing them.  And I also dont agree with blocking out state of grace.  Block and not tolerate his ignorant remarks but welcome intelligent debate.  Cause I think its important for blacks to hear and see exactly the image we've created of ourselves to the outside races.

WOW!!! those are a couple of loaded questions right there, very controversial and i think the answers are relative…my opinions on that are mixed but here's what i think:

it took me a long time to understand what THEY mean by “addiction is a disease.”

my interpretation of that now is: addiction changes the biology of the body over time, it causes disorders and malfunctions in the body over time, and it dominates the functioning of the body over time. ultimately leading to death. so it is considered a “disease.”

plus supposedly you can be predisposed to addiction based on DNA.

now that is all from the standpoint that addiction is a disease. i could say that is from a treatment standpoint as well.

on the flip side, from a personal perspective, i've been addicted to alcohol in the past...i didn't go to AA or nothing to quit, i just did it on my own. it may have actually been one of the most difficult things i’ve ever done in my life and for me to have been successful it required that i would make entire life shift. seriously. from this point of view, i feel like i have control of alcohol. i don't even have the desire to drink. today, if i want to drink on a rare occasion, i can and i know my limit.

the problem that i can sense is “over time.” if i got into the habit of drinking again, i could see myself being truly addicted again. i got that type of personality anyway, an addictive personality. but at the same time, i don't like to be controlled by NOTHING AND NO ONE. so if i decide i'm not feeling in control of myself due to a substance, shit, i just let it go and make that my focus. so i guess my take on that is if you’ve been addicted you always have great potential to fall back into it imo. this can def. be stress, sensory, and/or socially-related. and it’s different for everyone. quiting anything is a day by day process and when u start looking at the rest of your life in terms of using a substance vs. not using one, ur setting urself up for failure. that is too huge. baby steps.

and u gotta know that when ever u quit something u will replace it with something else. it’s almost automatic hopefully it's something positive. i mean i was a pepsi-aholic (caffeine sp?) for hella long LOL. but I’m cool on that 2.

but i do burn on a daily, which is an addiction in itself. however, i consciously place restrictions on that: never go to work (or formerly school) burnt, never let it take precedence over handling business, never let it come before my maternal duties. and it hasn't hindered my progression or controlled me to a degree that i am uncomfortable with, especially in contrast to alcohol. i might be so bold as to argue that it was a useful tool in my education process. but that’s another story…LMAO but i do really believe that 100% for specific reasons, such as conceptualizing, creativity, and enhancing certain skills (for me anyway).

the other thing to remember is that there's a difference between abuse and dependence.

as far as Boss Ups question about the president and his/her cabinet.  Thats a tough one, I like a lot of people on here with what they bring to the table...

So I feel it will probably call for us to scrap the idea of the american structure of government.  We might have to think outside the box on this one and create a different structure.

How about a round table full of all the regular players.  You know BP1, BFG, BossUP, 518, JrZma, Gawgabuoy, Twon, JuneGem, fuk happened to Fresh?, King High., etc

On the real, everybody would hold a percentage when it comes to voting on issues.  And every couple years, 3 or 4 people get rotated out and the public votes new members in their place (I aint forget about you others).  So that way everybody would stay on their job, and no that they cn be replaced. Everybody would be each others check and balance.  And we would truly keep the people in mind at all time. Be a representative government not a police state (like our country is becoming).


Hope yall dont think that Im communist or socialist because of it.  But our government system dont seem to be working.  Might be a call for something new...

I laugh everytime I see your name...Actually you need to step it up a bit.  '99 Cherokee, rent a condo,  I did that back when I was 18-21.  I just built a new home, got a new car for me and my wife and still sittin on stacks in my bank account.  Oh yeah...did I mention I am black and no I ain't no drug dealer.  I do have  9-5 and take DAMN good care of my step children...my fault if I forgot to.  So that whole GROW UP stuff just bit you in the ass.  

Every single one of us (black people typing comments) have a hustle, a grind, a job, whatever we need to get by.  What we do is by our choice.  If we want to buy the expensive clothes, pay $200 for the shoes and wanna get some rims, we can do that because that's US.  We ain't gotta go to some STUCK UP store like Saks and deal with some FAKE STUCK UP sales people trying to sell us some tight a$$ $800 pants and $300 shirt and some ugly $1000 loafers.  You stay on your side of the fence and do what you do.  We will continue to do what we do, walk with the swagger, confidence, and rhythm that we have, and continue to keep YOUR KIND guessing as to what we are going to do next.

The science behind an addiction is simple and yet very complex at the same time.

Basically, let's say you take a drug periodically, like an anti-depressant (ADs have a documented history of causing "withdrawl" symptoms).  Your body soon becomes dependent on this "drug" b/c signaling systems in your brain now recognize this drug as being necessary for your body to function (which is why ADs take about 2 weeks before they start affecting your body for what they're 'prescribed' for).

Now that you're hooked, if you stop taking the meds, you're brain believes it needs the drug to function properly and if it doesn't get it, it reacts.  You get sick b/c your brain believes a necessary component is missing.  I mean sick like throwing up, headaches, stomach aches, lethargy, etc. This "illness" will last for a few days until your brain readjusts.  

Big Pharma know this and exploit us unmercifully.  They're making billions upon billions of $ each year by taking advantage of people convincing them that they need to take all these meds to "treat their symptoms of illness".  Note that meds don't cure shit, they simply mask the symptoms and if you're not taking the meds, the mask comes off.

There are some meds that are very beneficial, so I'm not knocking the industry (I work for a pharma doing research and development, so I know the ins and outs).  Trust me though, these Pharma CEOs don't care about anything except for money.  They could care less about sick people.

u know i don't attempt to impose my beliefs or values on to anyone, so don't take my comments on addiction like i'm proposing them as "law." it's all imo.

but another thing i forgot to mention is that when it comes to addiction, denial is an extremely integral factor in becoming and remaining an addict. i do believe that people can be addicted to almost anything: ab-use = abnormal use (of any substance or behavior) imo.

as far as smoking (mj) goes, it is a far less physically addictive substance and more of a mental addiction than say, alcohol, heroin, coke, cigarettes, etc. so i consider that a big difference.

at the same time, i was taught (in school) that there is no hierarchy of drugs. that they can all be equally damaging, depending upon the individual and the circumstances. however, i disagree with that to varying degrees. at the same time, i can also see the truth in that! hey, like i said, my opinions are mixed! LMAO
sorry, it has always been my habit to look at every side of an argument/issue as objectively as possible (to the best of my ability)!

The drill instructors were characterized as mostly having military experience, children and one attorney said, "They are not monsters."

Anderson died Jan. 6, 2006, a day after running laps at the Bay County juvenile boot camp, where he was sent after stealing his grandmother's truck for a joy ride.

On trial and charged with felony aggravated manslaughter of a child are former drill instructors Garrett, Henry Dickens, Charles Enfinger, Raymond Hauck, Charles Helms Jr., Henry McFadden Jr., Joseph Walsh II and camp nurse, Kristin Schmidt. They face up to 30 years in prison, if convicted.

Bondi showed the surveillance tape of the Panama City teen being manhandled by drill instructors and said Anderson was forced to inhale ammonia capsules three times, once for 59 seconds, another time for 54 seconds and the last time for more than 5 minutes.

"They're job was to teach discipline, but first and foremost, do not harm," Bondi said.

Defense attorneys said Anderson cursed at drill instructors and even spit on one.

I been in the hood, still have a lot of the mentality.  I shed the aspects of it that I find to be a severe hendrance on my success (materialistic mindset, and crab in barrel lifestyle comes to mind).  But I also cherish some of the other things that I got from the hood.  Now that Im living in a middle class neighborhood of philly,  its fukked up cause in a weird way sometimes I missed the "let your hair down" flow of the hood.  These people be up tight as a muthafukka.  I sometimes see why so many brothas find it hard to adapt to this lifestyle engineered by the white man in this country.  A lot of it just aint our swag.  Our choice is either to play by the rules, pick up an illegal hustle, or reject it all and be viewed as an extremist (that dude 7th seal comes to mind).

As I stated before aint no place for a successful black man in this society.  You either shed your culture and mimic the white man or you reach some sort of ceiling set in place with this system to suppress opposition and maintain the status quo.

Black people are a people of soul.  A people with inner beauty and innate qualities.  All this materialistic talk was established once we became post-slaves.  Like Kanye said in that self conscious poem, "They made us hate ourselves and love they wealth, thats why shorties holla where the ballers at?"

The African people just like the Native people were people of spirit.  They nurtured the land they lived on and valued it.  Ironically now with the new "powers that be" in control of the earth, earth has been on a decline ever since.  Global Warming, Pollution, Whole in the Ozone Layer,etc.  Need I say more?

So it pains me when our people put so much emphasis on all  this shit that wont matter when they go into the grave.  Sadly enough I see the homie mush da great, idolizing a shoe in his avatar.  Yea that $2 shoe is important.

i've been busy as hell the last two day's....from what i'm reading ya'll had some spirited disscussions the past couple of days...that's what's up!!!!!

well i don't have the answer... but i do know that spreading info in a forum such as this is a positive start......i've been posting here for a minute now and before i started posting i would check AHH.com and this blog out a lot......some of dialague was so interesting that i had to participate......this is the first blog that i really started getting down with and posting $hit!!!!!!


anyway...i feel this right here is a movement and the info we share and spread to others it's going to continue the movement....

so many people see the problems w/ our country as a racial issue....and that's part of it!!!!

however, us of the Hip Hop generation....no matter what era of it ur from....we realize and recognize that it's not just a racial struggle in Amerikkka but a class strugle today as well!!!!!!

there are so many people here of different races facing the same issues that this in itself has become a movement.....as long as we keep discussing the challenges we face as humans and bring the struggle to light it's going to manifest itself into some kind of change i think!!!!!!!!!

What I was trying to relay to you, is that you have some points "some" but not the whole picture.

I've gotten into debates with folks on this site before about working towards the solution rather than complaining about the issues all day.

But without knowing where you come from or what the issues are then you can't fix it.
So I don't mind talking about them just not spending all my time yelling white man this white man that, with out offering a solution.

I do for myself and if anyone wanna listen cool with me.
I don't wait for any group or organization to make a move.
That to me is an old tatic that blacks still wait for.

People will unite behind success, so if you get it for yourself you'd be amazed at who follows.

I know blacks that are very successfull and they still understand the system without letting it undermind their goals.

How did it happen? After previous attempts to push the Federal Reserve Act through Congress, a group of bankers funded and staffed Woodrow Wilson's campaign for President. He had committed to sign this act. In 1913, a Senator, Nelson Aldrich, maternal grandfather to the Rockefellers, pushed the Federal Reserve Act through Congress just before Christmas when much of Congress was on vacation. When elected, Wilson passed the FED. Later, Wilson remorsefully replied, referring to the FED, "I have unwittingly ruined my country". Now the banks financially back sympathetic candidates. Not surprisingly, most of these candidates are elected.

The bankers employ members of the Congress on weekends (nickname T&T club -out Thursday...in Tuesday with lucrative salaries. Additionally, the FED started buying up the media in the 1930's and now owns or significantly influences most of it. Presidents Lincoln, Jackson, and Kennedy tried to stop this family of bankers by printing U.S. dollars without charging the taxpayers interest. Today, if the government runs a deficit, the FED prints dollars through the U.S. Treasury, buys the debt, and the dollars are circulated into the economy. In 1992, taxpayers paid the FED banking system $286 billion in interest on debt the FED purchased by printing money virtually cost free. Forty percent of our personal federal income taxes goes to pay this interest. The FED's books are not open to the public. Congress has yet to audit it. Congressman Wright Patman was Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Banking and Currency for 40 years. For 20 of those years, he introduced legislation to repeal the Federal Reserve Banking Act of 1913. Congressman Henry Gonzales, Chairman of a banking committee, introduced legislation to repeal the Federal Reserve Banking Act of 1913 almost every year. It's always defeated, the media remains silent, and the public never learns the truth. The same bankers who own the FED control the media and give huge political contributions to sympathetic members of Congress.

THE FED FEARS THE POPULATION WILL BECOME AWARE OF THIS FRAUD AND DEMAND CHANGE. We, the People, are at fault for being passive and allowing this to continue. THE FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD, A GOVERNMENT BOARD, HAS CHEATED THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OUT OF ENOUGH MONEY TO PAY THE NATIONAL DEBT SEVERAL TIMES OVER. The depredations and the iniquities of the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve banks acting together have cost this country dearly.

They are private credit monopolies which prey upon the people of the United States for the benefit of themselves and their foreign customers; foreign and domestic speculators and swindlers; the rich and predatory money lenders. This is an era of economic misery and for the reasons that caused that misery, the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve banks are fully liable. Half a million dollars was spent on one part of propaganda organized by those same European bankers for the purpose of misleading public opinion in regard to the Federal Reserve Bank.

Every effort has been made by the Federal Reserve Board to conceal its power but the truth is the Federal Reserve Board has USURPED THE GOVERNMENT OF THE UNITED STATES. IT CONTROLS EVERYTHING HERE AND IT CONTROLS ALL OUR FOREIGN RELATIONS. IT MAKES AND BREAKS GOVERNMENTS AT WILL. No man and no body of men is more entrenched in power than the arrogant credit monopoly which operates the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve banks. These evil-doers have robbed this country. What the Government has permitted the Federal Reserve Board to steal from the people should now be restored to the people.

Our people's money to the extent of $1,200,000,000 has within the last few months been shipped abroad to redeem Federal Reserve Notes and to pay other gambling debts of the traitorous Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve banks. The greater part of our monetary stock has been shipped to foreigners. Why should we promise to pay the debts of foreigners to foreigners? Why should American Farmers and wage earners add millions of foreigners to the number of their dependents? Why should the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve banks be permitted to finance our competitors in all parts of the world? The Federal Reserve Act should be repealed and the Federal Reserve banks, having violated their charters, should be liquidated immediately. FAITHLESS GOVERNMENT OFFICERS WHO HAVE VIOLATED THEIR OATHS SHOULD BE IMPEACHED AND BROUGHT TO TRIAL.

If the media is unbiased, independent and completely thorough, why haven't they discussed the FED? Currently, half the states have at least a grass roots movement in action to abolish the FED, but there's no press coverage. In July, 1968, the House Banking Subcommittee reported that Rockefeller, through Chase Manhattan Bank, controlled 5.9% of the stock in CBS. Furthermore, the bank had gained interlocking directorates with ABC.



In 1974, Congress issued a report stating that the Chase Manhattan Bank's stake in CBS rose to 14.1% and NBC to 4.5%. The same report said that the Chase Manhattan Bank held stock in 28 broadcasting firms. After this report, the Chase Manhattan Bank obtained 6.7% of ABC, and today the percentage is most likely much greater. It only requires 5% ownership to significantly influence the media . This is only one of 300 wealthy shareholders of the FED. It is believed other FED owners have similar holdings in the media. To control the media, FED bankers call in their loans if the media disagrees with them.

Rockefeller also controls the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the sole purpose of which is to aid in stimulating greater interest in foreign affairs and a one world government. Nearly every major newscaster belongs to the Council on Foreign Relations. The Council on Foreign Relations controls many major newspapers and magazines. Additionally, major corporations owned by FED shareholders are the source of huge advertising revenues which surely would influence the media.

Every day I hear people complaining about what they don't like about our government and media, but not one of them are willing to put forth an effort to try and change it, especially when it comes to their personal lives. We are as much a slave on a personal level, as our government is to the international bankers. We keep right on using the tool they put out here to control us, credit cards, and we are imprisoned by it. We are no longer willing to save up to buy something, we have to have it right now, so the Government has made it easy to have what you want without the having to save for it, (CREDIT). Don't you think it funny that in a land with so much wealth, only 2 PERCENT of the people own their homes? (CREDIT). Do you know 60 PERCENT of Americans have at least 3 Credit cards used to it's maximum? (CREDIT). Do you know that only 1 PERCENT of the people have their car paid for? (CREDIT). To be free, you must throw away your credit cards, and NEVER buy anything that you cannot afford at the moment of purchase. We will never be a free people until we rid ourselves of the burden placed here to control us, and when we stop renting from the powers, the power will cease to exist.

@BigSlim, you watchin the Phillies??? Who you got in the A.L. and N.L? I'm a baseball fiend. I played in High School and College. At one point my HS had won 24 straight Conference titles. Up until 2000, then we lost Conference but went on to win state. They have the Junior Olympic trials here in my hometown every yr so I've seen the Majority of these guys play in HS. Matt Holliday, I played against him, we beat his team. He's from OK. When the guys come for the week long tryouts and games they stay with host familys, so I had the chance to kick it with a few too. I've seen Mike Cuddeyer, Joe Mauer, Cory Patterson, Rick Ankiel, He was a fuckin beast in HS. He'd throw a no hitter and hit 3 HR in the same game. Man the list goes on and on. It's just crazy cause every year I watch these kids play and you can almost count on seein em on tv in 3-5 yrs.

but I played through freshman year of high school..I was excited about it, but the head coach was a bum. He was starting a kid who never played organized ball in his life at SS, and kids who have been playin, and knew each other from all star teams and AAU teams were sittin on the bench because it was all about keepin the football players on the team happy. I was always good in little league, and junior and senior leagues, on the all star teams, played in a few AAU tournaments..I played 1st and 3rd but when I got to HS, the kid who was a SS on all those teams got moved to 3rd to make room for the first timer and the kid who played first, his dad donated money to the school, so they had to keep him happy. I used to shine on both of them in practice, and every time the coach would put me in the game, I was producing. I think we played 25 games, and I probably got around 1 AB per game. I was walked a couple times, so I probably went 12 or 13-20. I was like Tony Gwinn..not all about that power, though I could hit the shit out of the ball if I needed to, I was more about the base hits, and placing the ball in different fields. That shit had me discouraged, and I haven't really played since, but I've been thinkin about joining a men's league

So THATS why it took Weezy so long to hit the stage. Nice to find that out. Yeah, it was like 30 minutes after Loso finished when Weezy came out. You should've heard everybody; the DJ said it would be about 10 minutes before Weezy started, so after 15 minutes went by, everybody started booing every time they would put on another song cuz we all wanted him to come out.

My grandad used to have an apartment right across the street from THE stadium, and could go up to the roof and look over the fence in right center and watch the games. Plus down here it wasn't no teams before the marlins and the d rays and no body still roots for them I'm not lyin when I say you can go to a marlins game for $3. That's buyin your ticket from the box office day of the game, EVERY GAME. No body even showed up for the playoffs until the world series, and then it was a social thing, like oh what are we gonna do tonight? being school smart and world smart are two different thing's. and yes i daytrade from home and yes i have black friends that use my home computer and yes i drive a 99 jeep. but when i'am in the city i use public transit. the path train to be exact. and i don't know where you're from but up here if you build a big house from the ground up it'll cost about a mill. and as far as dressing i don't wear a suit and tie in front of the computer. but i think i'll take back that intelligent statement back you are another little child trappped in a man's body.

Thats why I coach all my sons teams. I'll be done went to jail if they sit him on the bench, Lol. But as for me, I played CF and I showed my ass. I was All Conference my Jr and Sr yr and up until 2006 I held my schools Stolen base records. Single game, season and career. I think someone may have passed my Single game. I, like you, just hit for contact. My coach was always tellin me to hit it on the ground and run like hell. I got a lot of Slap singles. I'd get ahold of one real good every now and then but I hit 4 or 5 HR's in my whole HS career. I played in College but ended up goin head up with the coach because I wanted to go on Spring Break, (I was chasin that cat in a major way) I played up until my Jr yr and I was like fuck it, I'm goin to Cancun. To this day it was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I learned from it though. I played football and Basketball, I was decent at Football and above average at Basketball, I was great at baseball. My Step Dad still gives me shit to this day. Any time we watch a game on tv, he's all "you could be out there playin". Oh well it all happens for a reason. Basketball was my passion though, I had the most love for it, baseball just came easy to me.

My HS coach thought he was hot shit cuz he played at some Division 7 school no body ever heard of. He used to throw batting practice and challenge people to come up there and hit him..he throws pretty hard and had a nasty knuckle ball but I used to come up and ask him where he wants me to hit it?

"ay coach, where you want this one? in a gap? up the middle? bunt down the line? which one?"

then I would hit it exactly where I said I would and the man would bean me the next pitch like we were playin a fuckin game for real. He was a little guy probably 5'6 175 but he was a prison guard who worked out all the time so he thought he untouchable. I used to be ready to charge the mound every time like "bro you're a grown fuckin man throwin at a kid right now..but nah throw me that ugly ass knuckle and watch me put this shit over the scoreboard"

Dude this is something I can speak of ligit. I lived on the streets for a time when I was like 16, sellin dope on the corner with my homies and shit. I took LSD, mushrooms, smoked weed, drank alot. When I was 18 I went to college, but became diillusioned in my third yaer and dropped out ( I was in a decently successful band, so I thought I was a rock star). I started slangin again and hangin around the sugar shack ( crackhouse) I held down a job for a few years moving furniture and whatever. I started gettin a little money from hustlin', and started partying hard core with dealers and shit. Then shit got fucked up. I started smoking Crystal Meth, just so I could stay up later and party. Then I started doin blow on the regular. After two years of this I moved into a loft downtown and lost it completely, I was smokin meth and crack, started shootin coke and heroin, morphine. I was fucked up. I got clean for a minute, then I met a girl who I liked and started partying again. I was back on the pipe quick and for like a year I fell down into a death spiral. Lost my job, my house, everything. One day a good bro of mine phoned me and weas like "You I saw your moms yesterday and she asked me whet was up with you, so I told her the truth." When I next talked to my mom, she told me I was going to die if I didn't get out. So I bailed. I moved out of town into her and her new husband's place for a while and started hangin with friends I hadn't hung out with in a while. One day I accepted Jesus back into my life adn I haven't been the same since. I will always crave dope on some level.  You never forget the feeling of hittin that pipe, or shootin that rig, but I have God on my side so I will win. Some aren't so fortunate and they have no foundation to build something on. You can't beat the demon alone, that's why almost all rehab programs that actually work are faith based. I still love to steam a blunt and sip a Becks, but I know one false move and I could lose it all again. That's what drives me everyday. God pulled me out of hell, so I keep Him Most High. I've left my past behind meand by no means consider myself an addict, but I know on some level I am. Keeping my past in my present would be counterproductive. I'm not dead or in jail. I WIN!

and i feel u on valuing ur music...i do 2. i was soooo crushed when my littlest 1 sprayed water all over my laptop (accidentally of course). str8 killed in like less than 5 minutes. i was literally depressed the whole day cause all my music was gone forever. well not really, but i had my entire music collection on there. i can always go back and rip all my cds onto the new 1, but it took me forever to do it in the 1st place, it was least 300 cds of all different genres, but feels like even more. plus i lost like 2000 songs that i had downloaded over like a year. i can't even remember every single song i had. =(
man that still hurts...

anyway far as me, talking about valuing "things" (vs. people), it's mos. def music first and then my books. gotta have my books always...folks really be tryna get me to part with them. craziness!
