THE UK GETS IT!
There are a lot of Jay-Z haters now that they have seemingly found some chinks in his armor. It’s sad to see rappers get heart when they think a rapper is weakening, not when he’s at his peak. Jay is headlining the largest festival Glastonbury in the United Kingdom. This is the first time that a rapper has ever headlined the massive celebration, but what I am hearing from my UK Fam is that Jigga’s not the favorite of the mainstream. They probably love U2 or something. All good, but this is a new era. The organizer has typically marketed the festival to the middle-aged crowd and now they are shifting. Neil Diamond is also on the bill. LOL!
The buzz is that Pharrell and N.E.R.D. are going to reunite live on stage and give the people some Hip-Hop pop rock. Lupe is confirmed. (Thx Pee Wee!)
I MISSED THIS
Def Jam has not dropped the entire Roc-A-Fella Records roster. Really? I thought it was Jay-Z dropping the Roc staff, not Def Jam dropping them. According to Billboard.com, everybody is still there and that includes Kanye West, Freeway, Beanie Sigel, Tru Life, DJ Clue, Memphis Bleek, Young Gunz and Hector Bambino. To punctuate that point, they are saying that Beanie Sigel’s CD will be reissued with some remixes and singles. WEIRD.
THE FLAVOR OF MICROSOFT!
Check this one out! “Flavor of Love 2” and “Charm School” megastar Shay “Buckeey” Johnson has a brand new venture with Microsoft. No, not microsoft as in Flavor Flav, Microsoft as in Bill Gates! The reality star has joined forces with gaming company Konsole Kingz to offer exclusive Shay “Buckeey” Johnson themes and gamer pics to Xbox 360 owners. Aw shucks! That’s a real sweet rumor, that I think it's actually true. Shout out to Buckeey.
NATE DOGG IS THE HOMEY, BUT…DON’T DELAY DETOX!
Now, there is 39-year-old Nate Dogg. He’s the greatest Hip-Hop crooner of all time. There is a rumor that his unfortunate and tragic stroke might put the Detox project in jeopardy for its 2008 release! NO, PLEASE! The word on the street is that Dre is ready and willing to put the highly anticipated album on hold until his long-time homey has recovered. I don’t know, but this could be over six months. Nate is reportedly instrumental to what Dre wants to do with Detox and he’s not going to think about messing up his final album for anything. This MIGHT be a 2009 conversation. I really don’t think I personally can take this anymore. I might be the next one to have a stroke! Shout out to Nate Dogg – get better FAST!

Mo’Nique? I thought she and her ex were cool peeps. He got half and she reportedly gave that up, because he deserved it as far as her career is concerned. Anyway, rumor has it, homey is writing a tell-all book on the successful heavy-set actress. I don’t know why he would do all that, when nobody will read it. We MIGHT read a book from her. But nobody is going to read a one-sided novel from a bitter B-word. Sheeesh. Get a grip and be a man.

THE FANSTASTIC FOUR-GOTTEN FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIE!
I would say that a lot of you saw the blockbuster movie “The Fantastic Four,” the movie with Jessica Alba and a bunch of others I cannot recall right now. Anyway, lo and behold, there was a FF before FF. And the precursor was a big pile of doggie doo. As you will read, the first movie was made, but they didn’t have the money to finish it. After the person holding the rights to the flick lost those rights, Marvel Comics scooped in and took the movie to what you see today. Anyway, rumor says Marvel ended up having to pay millions just for this version of the FF to NOT come out. Too funny.

Usher and wife Tameka Foster Raymond have recently purchased a new $3.2 million house in Roswell/Crabapple, Georgia in a sweetly gated community. Here is what Tiffany Long had to say about it:

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END
I don’t know about your world, but in my world, an 11 year old having a baby is a bad, bad sign. Also, getting knocked up by your mom’s boyfriend is not wavy at all. This all went down in Cincinnati a few months ago. The boyfriend did the deed when the girl was a mere 10 years old. Here is more info. The pedo is 40 and they have DNA proof that he is the father of the newborn. The mother may not get to have her child though, because officials and social workers don’t feel that she is capable of caring for the kid. She might get visitation rights at least twice a week if supervised by a social worker. The child rapist is looking at life in jail if convicted. What is also disturbing is the fact that there were other men that were tested to be the father, basically this kid was getting’ it, straight getting’ it. I wonder how the mother feels to have totally failed her child, because that’s what happened here.

Shyheim was working on a DVD and wanted a drop from Diddy and Raekwon blocked the drop. Not sure why Rae did that. I don’t know the root of the beef.
