KANYE CLARIFICATION
I would like to quickly clarify what happened at the Kanye West show in California. Actually, it was a Common show that Kanye popped up on. Last week I said that Kanye dissed the Grammys. Well, it wasn’t at the Anaheim show like I said. This apparently occurred at the Hollywood show at the House of Blues. I wasn’t there so I didn’t hear it or anything. Also, I heard that in a third verse freestyle, Kanye said “I beat 50.”

EMINEM RUMORS FALSE
There was another crappy Eminem rumor coming out that the Detroit rapper was going to be wrestling in the WWE. Shame on you if you believed that one. It was refuted faster than any other rumor in the history of man. Eminem’s publicity machine shot that down like a ducked on a firing range. "Eminem has no interest whatsoever in becoming a wrestler,” a statement read. Anyway, I wouldn’t want to see him come out like that, even though I am interested in seeing Eminem come back.
THE TRIAL OF THE CENTURY COMES TO FILM
Trial of the Chicago 7 is the working title of an upcoming film movie directed by Steven Spielberg. For those that don’t know, this flick is about The Chicago Seven, a group of activists that were “charged with conspiracy, inciting to riot and other charges related to violent protests” that took place in Chicago, Illinois during the1968 Democratic National Convention. Well, it is rumored that Will Smith will play the Black Panther Bobby Seale. Smith isn’t confirmed yet, but he has been informed that Spielberg wants him. Others rumored to be attached include Taye Diggs, Kevin Spacey, and Jeff Daniels. I don’t really celebrate Black History Month, but this is good to hear in February.
KATT WILLIAMS TOURS HITS BOWLING ALLEY
Katt Williams is one of the coolest and oddest dudes in the game. Over the weekend, I heard he was in Sacramento, CA and he held a private comedy show at the Country Club Lanes, an area bowling alley. On top of that, the show was in a secluded area. From what I understand, Katt bowled all strikes for the fans in attendance. (That was a really bad metaphor for he performed well.) This is unrelated, but I heard E-40 and Too Short rocked at a club called Zocku over the weekend.
R.KELLY IS DOING THE DO
This is so FUNNY. Remember last year when I told you all that stuff about R.Kelly having “relations” with the daughter of his long time publicist Regina Daniels and friend / retail O.G. George Daniels? It’s all common knowledge now, but at the time, nobody really knew what it was and I got a big scoop that Kellz was sleeping with their daughter. Well, somebody shot that down, saying it wasn’t true. Lo and behold, four months later R. Kelly issues the following statement:
"It's hard to take seriously the moral outrage expressed by George and Regina Daniels over R. Kelly's relationship with Mr. Daniels' adult daughter, Maxine. The fact is that they had no problem with the relationship - indeed, they encouraged it - while Ms. Daniels was on Mr. Kelly's payroll. It was only after Ms. Daniels resigned her position to avoid being fired for incompetence that the relationship became an issue for her and her husband."
I believe this is going to be a new series for R.Kelly.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END
I know fathers don’t really want their daughters having sex too early with boys, but this guy took things way to far. My girl Kera from Queens hit me after reading this Daily News story. A father of three from the Bronx strangled his own daughter after he caught her text messaging a boy. What did he do? He dumped her body in their apartment building furnace. He then called the police to tell on himself. He admitted to it all. His name is Miguel Matias and he had a history of mental illness. This history of illness played out when he told the police that he dumped the body in a wooded area and couldn’t remember where she was. I think this could have been avoided. Matias once poured gasoline over his own car while his two sons and daughter were in it, a failed murder-suicide. That should have been the last time he saw his kids if you ask me.

I heard a rumor that Solange is joining the Pussy Cat Dolls! I wonder if that would give you a little lift in her career.
Could Lyor Cohen be leaving Warner Music? A&R Sickamore recently departed from his post at Warner. There rumors suggesting the big man (Lyor) is to bounce later this year.
Outkast is working. Now, I don’t know how true this is, but I heard collectively the group will release three CD’s this year. Andre 3000 is dropping one, Big Boi will drop a solo and then the both of them will do the Outkast thing later in the year.
