YESTERDAY’S RUMORS!

Hip-Hop Rumors: A Gay Jungle Brother? Fat Joe Photoshops 50 Cent & G-Unit!

Hip-Hop Rumors: Lil' Wayne's Case, Busta Lets A Fan Have it! Dru Hill Stunts!

Hip-Hop Rumors: Keyshia & Jeezy's Baby? Dru Hill Reunited 10-Min and Breaks Up! LOL!

Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay-Z Disapproves Of Rihanna & Chris? 50 Cent Photoshops Fat Joe Again! Kelly's Boob Job!

I’M SURE JUVENILE HAS HIS REASONS

Juvenile's murdered 4-year-old daughter Jelani was buried over the weekend. She was buried with her sister Micaiah, and mother. They were all killed at the hands of the mother’s son. Juvenile did not attend the service, because he didn’t want to take away from the service with all of his fame and stuff. That seems weird, being that it was his daughter. We all grieve differently, but I don’t think Juve is that much of a media darling. I think we are actually writing about it more now that he didn’t attend.

IS GAME LOCKED UP OR PARTYING!

Jayceon Taylor is still in lockdown. Gossip site, tmz, reported that he “walked out of Twin Towers Correctional Facility,” but he walked to another jail. LOL! But, they actually talked to his lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley and Holley gave them some bad info. So, Game is back in jail. Somebody wanted me to let everybody know that Game is in the COUNTY so its not so bad. Ice Cube famously said, “Had to do a week in the county /A piece of cake it was just like a party / 'Cause in the county you know everybody.”

Speaking of party...I heard last night that Snoop had a party. Well, somebody forwarded me an email that said the Game was in the house. Hence, several people told me that Game was actually in the building. The one person said that they didn’t actually see the rapper and so I think Game was just getting a nod from the Dogg father. Anyway, others at the party included Grand Master Flash, Kevin Liles, JD, porn icon Ron Jeremy, Bishop Don Juan, Freeway, Teddy Riley and more. I wonder who has more hoes, Elliot Spitzer or Bishop Don Juan?

THE DRU HILL VIDEO WAS REAL!

Adriann went to the Dru Hill show and let me know what went down. The group reunited without Woody on Friday in Miami at the James L. Knight Center for the “Ladies Night Out” Tour. They clarified that the youtube video was in fact real. I was told that Sisqo did his thing with an extra long set of forgotten solo songs he released so long ago but the crowd was still feeling him. Jazz and Nokio (Scola was nowhere to be found) came out at the end, it was clear that Nokio was drunk but the show was excellent. They sang classic Dru Hill songs along with 2 unreleased songs from their upcoming album. They even did a song that they dedicated to Woody, who they were pissed at a few days before, One was a nice ballad and the other was a just recorded tribute song for Woody. Nokio reportedly stayed on stage after the group’s set and drank and barked at girls. It reportedly took security five minutes to get him off the stage. I heard it was a great show and that Bell Biv Devoe performed on the same bill.

FAT JOE TO CATCH 50 OUT THERE?

There is a strong rumor that Fat Joe is going to get 50 Cent in a different way. I heard Joe’s plan involves him going to Wrestlemania and shaking things up for his rap counterpart. IF 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather make that walk-thru, they best be aware that the “Elephant” might be in the room.

See the rest in yesterday’s rumors!

MORE ON THE STRAIGHT OUT THE JUNGLE BROTHER

The Jungle Brothers were one of the best, conscious groups back in the day. So, here is some of the latest. I know this doesn’t really resonate with a lot of you young folks. This is for the old heads. (Check out the previous pictures) From what I understand Afrika of the Jungle Brothers is or was married. He’s a big proponent of rave parties. Nobody we have talked to could say that he’s is gay, but some have said that they would not be shocked if that came out. I do know for myself that the Jungle Brothers had adopted over the times and toured the world in that rave world, because Hip-Hop had dried up for them. I never said if he was gay...how would I know? If he is, that's his biz. I just know that he appeared to me and other Jungle Brothers fans in a different form, which was more rugged. They were always cool and eccentric too.

Click here to see my favorite Jungle Brother video (different from song) and comment on it if you feel it.

"The EyE LaSH"

I'm just a confused fan.

THE NEW 7 SINS

As if seven deadly sins weren’t enough, the Catholic Church has doubled the list! This new list insures that Bill Gates, Amy Winehouse, the heads of all major oil companies, wealthy and drug dealer rappers, G.W. Bush, transexuals and others are going to hell. Heck, with the way the water is we are all going to hell, because there are drugs in it! Shouldn’t they make a sin for those priests that molest boys?

The NEW 7 Deadly Sins!

Carrying out experiments on humans

Polluting the environment

Causing social injustice

Causing poverty

Becoming obscenely wealthy

Taking drugs

Genetic modification

ANOTHER DEADLY SIN...

You all know, I love Amy Winehouse, but this butt should be a sin or at least a crime. Please get her whatever implant system that Kim Kardashian or Lola Luv are taking.

T-PAIN GOES BACK TO SCHOOL

Did you hear this one? T-Pain supposedly cause a ruckus at Connecticut college. According to sources, he just wouldn't leave like Mike Huckabee. Campus security eventually has to call in the real police. Pain was on the yard for Quinnipiac University's Spring Concert in late February. Apparently, an altercation occured with T-Pain's crew and they had to go. That's all we really know right now.

LUKE CAGE AS LL COOL J? SAM JACKSON AS NICK FURY?

People are trying to say that Tyrese might not be playing the role of Luke Cage aka Powerman. I am now hearing word that LL Cool J is going to be imported to play the muscular super hero-for-hire.

They are also stating that Nick Fury might be a movie where Sam Jackson plays the lead. Typicially, Nick Fury is known as a White male, but from what I understand, in an alternative universe, he was a Black lead. Sam is the man with the master plan. It is of interest to me.

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES

Download: DJ Whoo Kid & 50 Cent - Elephant In The Sand right here!

Or this link too if you have probs with the other.

Man, I really like that new Rocko song. It’s pretty tight. I read that Rock and Monica recently tied that good ol’ knot recently.

I heard there is a new street DVD that has a sex scene from New York and Taylormade.

A new group has arisen to made sure Obama wins the election safe and sound. They are called Citizens United to Protect Barack Obama.

Click here to see Ray J talk about his side of the sex scandal with Kim Kardashian.

Click here to see Busta go in on a fan with some justification.

DJ Princess Cut from Dallas TX. She has a group called UGQ Underground Queenz. I don’t think this is a group that Pimp C or UGK sanctioned though. Nice concept. Here is the logo. DJ P.C. does come out of TX so who knows.

MOS DEF DEFENDS MIKE VICK – SORTA!

Watch out for PETA, Mos! He talks about Mike Vick, Roger Clemens and even the Presidential election.

FLOYD COUNTS A MILLION...

This is done because...?

Meanwhile Big Show gets revenge for getting his nose broken and slams Money Mayweather.

YESTERDAY, WE LOVE YOU!

They keep us talking, but if we stop talking about them then they should worry!

I agree each person deals with death differently think about how hard it must've been for him not to go..and people saying Juvy isn't that famous but think about all the people who rap are a part of hip hop in N.O who's name was brought up the most after Katrina Juvy's

Amy Winehouse needs to get fined for sagging and having a soggy looking azz..She had some swag and style when she first came out but now she's just disgusting..I hope that chick gets some help because it don't make any sense for her to be going through all this with the talent she got..She's like Whitney mixed Lindsey and Britney all in one..

As for the Juvie thing I'll say it's no way in hell I would've missed something like that..I don't care what excuses a nigga got and how hard it would've been..That's just me...But that goes back to the kind of relationship he had with the mother and child..I said something about it when everyone was sending their condolences to him like he was in the child life like that..I can't say he was or wasn't but I know for awhile he didn't even claim her and she had to drag him to court for the paternity test after he bad mouthed her in the public on some DMX type shit..Anyway, I hope there's a reasonable explanation but I don't care if I missed my flight they would've had to hold that funeral up before they put my child in the ground..

I'm actually gonna be ghost after today so I shall catch up with everyone next week in the mean time chop it up with ya'll for now.

I miss some q's yesterday,

Bp1 asked if the ladies prefer clubs or lounges,
My answer is I rarely go to clubs if I do I roll with a wolf pack LOL. Its very rare though like 2 times outta a year. However I like to chill in lounges and just relax have a few drinks and socialize plus listen to music. I also like to chill in sports bar, play some pool or darts perhaps video games, or watch a game, yea I  know I'm old school but I appreciate the past.

I don't remeber who asked about what cd, or tape was our first purchase. Mines was the 2pacalypse which came out in 1991. I was in the 5th or 4th grade. I didn't purchase it I actually jacked it it was my first first tape. I know shame on me but thats what
happens to kids who begs for shit and we didn't have it like that.

Somebody also asked what was our first car and the current car we drive,
My answer is my first first car was a 1996 i30 black on black infiniti with moon roofs. I got it at 16 when I graduated from h.s at 16 ya'll.this was when 1999. I gave that car to my baby brother, and it's still nice kind of wish I held on to it. The current car I'm driving now is a 1992 LS400, all pearl white, with new interior,it gots like only 95,000 miles and I love that car love it love it.

What else did I miss.

ROFLMAO things like this need to be shared

A town in South America is living in fear after several sightings of a 'creepy gnome' that locals claim stalks the streets at night, The Sun reports.

The little person — who wears a pointy hat and has a distinctive sideways walk — was caught on video last week by a terrified group of youngsters.

Teenager Jose Alvarez — who filmed the gnome — yesterday told national newspaper El Tribuno that they caught the creature while larking about in their hometown of General Guemes, in the province of Salta, Argentina.

He said: “We were chatting about our last fishing trip. It was one in the morning. I began to film a bit with my mobile phone while the others were chatting and joking. Suddenly we heard something — a weird noise as if someone was throwing stones."

"We looked to one side and saw that the grass was moving. To begin with we thought it was a dog but when we saw this gnome-like figure begin to emerge we were really afraid."

Alvarez added that other locals had come forward to say they had spotted the gnome.

He said: “This is no joke. We are still afraid to go out — just like everyone else in the neighborhood now."

"One of my friends was so scared after seeing that thing that we had to take him to the hospital,” Alvarez said.

been at war for 8 yrs and now they figure this out

WASHINGTON —  A forthcoming Pentagon study has found no operational link between Saddam Hussein and Usama bin Laden's Al Qaeda terrorist network.

McClatchy Newspapers reports that the study, expected to be released later this week, is based on an extensive review of more than 600,000 Iraqi documents that were seized after the U.S.-led war in Iraq in 2003.

While there was no link to Al Qaeda, the investigation revealed that Saddam's regime gave some support to other terror groups in the Middle East, U.S. officials told McClatchy on condition of anonymity. But he targeted those he considered his own enemies, including Shiite Muslims, Kurds, exiles and others, the news service reported.

Sponsored by the Pentagon, the report found no "direct operational link" between Saddam's government in Iraq and bin Laden's Al Qaeda terror ring before the U.S. invasion, an official told McClatchy.

The Bush administration put forth the argument that there was a connection between Saddam and bin Laden when it made the case to go to war with Iraq after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

Yo, Illseed,

I'm a lil new here (at least in posting-not in reading).  Props on what you do.  However I think I beat you to the punch on that Afrika info you gave today with my posts on yesterday's rumors section including links to myspace pages & info regarding Afrika's new "Pagan" philosophy & the JB's touring the rave scene.  It's all right though, I don't have any hard feelings about it (no A..- oh that would be too easy...& stereotypical).  I saw The JB's here in Seattle in 1999 at the old NAF Studios where they used to throw crazy wild raves with hip-hop artists as headliners to attract a wide audience.  That was some wiggy ish to be sure, but from what I can remember I had a good time.

(I also saw Del, Heiro, Tha Luniz, Mystic, Digital Underground & quite a few others at the same venue-although at different times.    Man, I was even up on the stage with Digital Underground during their performance-whoooo-umm-say no to drugs kids-just say no!!!)

I've been reading your column for a minute & I think we come from the same era & understanding of hip-hop.  I spent a lil time as a hip-hop journalist myself (The Flavor, Illtip Magazine (before it went all gangster), Intahop.com, Music Inner City, etc.)  I've been out of the scene for a good minute but discovering & reading this site almost daily has made me re-appreciate hip-hop & feel right at home again.  Thanks.  Keep doin' what you do, Bro-ham.  Props to you, all the AHH staff & most of all the community at large. It's refreshing to see people who actually love & respect real Hip-Hop as opposed to top 40 bandwagon jumpers.  I'm sure we'll be hearing more from each other in the future.  I look forward to agreeing, discovering, reminiscing & arguing with you all.  Peace to all'y'all.

Random Question for All:

Have you ever begin a conversation with someone, Do you recall your facial expression that exact moment when you realized this person brushed their teeth with piss and ate a bowl of shit for breakfast, you also know this conversation is about to get ugly. You start blinking real bad and you just wish you had a flame retardent shield seperating you two. Then after a while you can actually inhale the toxants coming from their mouth. Then you finally have the courage to pull out a mint and offer them one but to your surprise they turn it down. So then you're thinking in the back of your mind why the hell would they turn down this mint that could have put out some of that wild spread mouth fire that engulfed their lungs. Finally, your nostrils can't take it anymore so you trying not to be rude, just come out and tell this person that their breath smells like someone parked a dump truck in his/her mouth! They start to deny that their breath stinks. So you then you get kind of concerned that they don't know so you ask them if they have a pet. So then that person replies with an attitude, "YES." So then you ask a pretty logical question: Is it any way, shape or fom that someone could have killed your pet skunk and somehow lodged the dead skunk in your mouth? This question really angered them because they want to know how did you know someone killed their pet skunk...you think to yourself its pretty obvious

Just a friendly joke

It's good to see brotha's get into heated conversations, apologize for misunderstandins, and leave it at that.  Now, as black men, we gotta apply that in real life.

I'm in Cali, and niggas always got they game face on.  I'm guilty of that shit sometimes myself.  We gotta take that chip off our shoulder.  Personally, when I see another brotha (around my age, a youngin, or an older man), I always try to acknowledge him, you know, say what's up to him or whatever.  That shit goes a long way.

That's all I got for now.  It's a nice day out here and I'm off, so I gotta go make some moves.

What's up AHH! Not really new to the site its just my first time posting. This has nothing 2 do with the rumors but I thought it was interesting since the video used possibly made a difference in the Texas and Ohio primaries.

-- Casey Knowles didn't much like a recent campaign commercial for Hillary Clinton -- even though she's in it as a sleeping 8-year-old.

Casey Knowles says she didn't see the ad until Jon Stewart lampooned it on "The Daily Show."

1 of 3 After all, she about to turn 18 now and is a big supporter of Barack Obama.

"What I don't like about the ad is its fear-mongering," Knowles told ABC's "Good Morning America Weekend Edition" on Sunday. "I think it's a cheap hit to take. I really prefer Obama's message of looking forward to a bright future."

The well-known Clinton ad aired in Texas before last week's vote and implied a lack of experience on Obama's part. It showed an exterior of a Colonial-style home and old stock footage of Knowles sleeping in bed.

A narrator describes a phone ringing in the White House: "It's 3 a.m. and your children are safely asleep. Who do you want answering the phone?"

Clinton won the Texas primary by a 51-47 percent margin.  Watch Clinton ad »

Knowles said she didn't see the ad until Jon Stewart lampooned it Thursday on "The Daily Show." Her brother noticed it was her, and the family replayed the commercial on their digital recorder to be sure.

"They were parodying this ad, kind of poking fun at it," Knowles said. "My brother was like, 'Is that Casey?' And we just erupted. Sure enough, it's me."

The file footage was originally shot for a railroad company advertisement. The Clinton campaign bought it from Getty Images.

Knowles, a senior at Bonney Lake High School who turns 18 next month, has been campaigning for Obama. She attended his rally at Seattle's KeyArena on February 8. Her mother, Pam, told The News Tribune of Tacoma that Casey cried and trembled after shaking the candidate's hand.

Don't Miss
Commentary: Now it's Obama's turn to adjust
The next day, she was a Democratic precinct captain for the state's caucuses. If she plays her cards right, she could go to the national convention.

Not to mention that she could be in another ad. After her identity became known, Obama's campaign contacted her.

"I mentioned that we should make a counter ad, me and Obama, against Hillary," she said. "They thought that was really funny. They actually might take me up on it."

That said, Knowles said she plans to vote for whichever Democrat wins the nomination. E-mail to a friend

===========================================
you know what...we completely fell off subject...ive completely come to realize...we turned this into the south vs. new york...which it is NOT about...this is about good music that USED to be....and music that NOW is....yes alot of the music coming out is south, but not all, westcoast is starting this "hyphy" movement, as i read over this topic, i realize that we are fighting over regions, this is about hiphop vs. hippop, is this what music has come to be? i dont want my kids thinking the way i once did, that there was only type of music, and that the south was originators of shit all out there...i want my kids to appreciate NY as the birth place of hip hop...drop the regions for a second and think to yourself...what kind of music do you want your kid(s) to listen to, and what do you want them to think of it. what are YOU going to do about it? perhaps show your offspring how it was all started...real hiphop...and hope hes the next rakim, or just have them listen to D4L and have them worsen the hiphop culture? and keep in mind southern folk...im from the south, born and raised....do what black people told me to do...listen to these records..do some research

1. By Any Means Necessary - BDP
2. Long Live The Kane - Big Daddy Kane
3. Paid in Full - Eric B. & Rakim
4. Follow the Leader - Eric B. & Rakim
5. It Takes A Nation Of Millions to Hold Us Back - Public Enemy

7. People's Instinctive Travel's - A Tribe Called Quest
8. Enter the 36th Chambers - Wu-Tang Clan
9. Illmatic - NAS
10.Mecca And The Soul Brother - Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth

go get those or listen to them to understand what WAS and listen to what IS now...you will see a difference in lyrical content and subject matter....just give it a try...and if its not your style...
Posted by: Ysidro at August 22, 2006 5:06 AM

...one last thing...SALES AND RECORD DEALS PLAY NO PART IN SKILL, EVERY RAPPER FROM HOUSTON IS BEING SIGNED ONLY BECAUSE THE SOUTH IS HOT RIGHT NOW....DONT GIVE ME THAT BULLSHIT ABOUT IT REALLY MEANS SOMETHING...AND REMEMBER BEFORE I SAY THIS, SOUTHERN BORN AND RAISED, TEXAS TIL I GO...BUT SOUTHERN FOLK..SIT ON THIS FOR A SECOND...MIKE JONES....big lyrical advantage (sarcastic voice)....hes a clown you know it, i know it, they know it....sales and deals mean nothing, quit bringing that lame ass fact up.

Posted by: Ysidro at August 22, 2006 5:20 AM

Man, i'm from the south, and i agree with the east coast niggaz. the south can't compare to New York Lyricly. there has never been lyrical content that any so called lyrcists from the south did that New York can't beat. Man i can't hide this, basicaly Southern rap is garbage, and i'm from Texas. Some of it's tight. But if you got a tight beat playin, but all of a sudden some slow minded ABC rapper who can't rhyme more than one syllable, or talk about nothin start rappin to it. that ain't cool. it's like that all over the radio in the south. when i'm driving i can't turn it on. Man NEW YORK will always reighn supreme lyricly, and will always be home of real Hip Hop. I remember Krs saying "A dope MC is a dope MC, deal or no deal".

We also go to other groups and build before we will with our own people..I'm just trying to do my part to change it...Yea, I feel you on acknowledging others..You never know what you might learn from just speaking to a stranger..That person could be the big break you've been waiting on..They might can't help you but they may be able to point you in the right direction..We definitely need to remove that chip because it's holding us back and putting us under..

since the hustlers destroyed hip hop then the dudes who know better, put their tail between their legs and either turned to some live band, neo soul experimental shit or some crazy outer space shit "that don't make no sense" (copywright Prodigy).

i just wanna guide my young gods to the undiluted shit.

shit that require no explanation.

that's how you know something is true.

I think ol boy got some points but I think he's off base to an extent as well..Lyrically the North got the South because the their grammar is a lot better, which usually makes for a better vocabulary and pronunciation...But there's always a flip side to everything..The South have a way of bringing light to certain topics in a more visual way..The lyricism is great up there but's it's not as much flavor and vice versa with us and the lyricism..But we make great music with messages you just have to look through our artists eyes..That's why we relate and support our artists differently...A lot of people especially black people knock the people in the South because of our dialect..They assume it equals ignorance but that's not the case..We just have a different way of saying things..It's a reason when they show the ol country boy in the old flicks he let you think he was slow long enough to pull the wool over your eyes..Don't just look at the surface..Scratch it a little...People thought Master P was so dumb, country and slow until he hit the industry that 400 mill real quick..

I'm in and out the crib runnin' errands.  But you actually expanded on the point that I lightly touched on.  We got to look at it like we are a family.  We all try to come up as individuals and leaving the  people you grew up behind.  You truly haven't "come up" if your people are still struggling.  True power is in numbers.

I'm from Cali, and I really haven't been all over the country.  I've been to the south (Tennessee).  But I got a homie out in DC and I've been out there more than a few times.  Them dudes out there showed me nothing but love.  I didn't have to get a hotel or a rental or nothing. They treated me like family.  I let them know when I left, that if they ever make it to Cali, they got a home out here.  That experience alone made it clear to me that I got brothas all over this nation.

On the music tip:

Good music is all over the country.  You just gotta look for it.  You damn sure 'aint gonna find it on MTV or BET.  They help to stereotype regions like: the east is about real hip-hop, the south is on some party shit w/o lyrics, the west is all about that gangsta shit, and the midwest doesn't really have an identity.  Get the fuck outta hear with all that bullshit.  If you're into lyrics like me you'll find 'em anywhere:  North, South, East, or West.  The content maybe different from region to region, but there's cats everywhere that can truly spit.  Sean P, Andre 3000, Common, The Jacka.  I'm sure you don't know who the Jacka is if you're not from Cali.  He's in this group called the Mob Figaz and he's got three solo albums.  His best CD to me is - The Jack Artist.  Check it out.  That shit slapz - shout out to the Bay.

I'll be back later......

I have to agree with you on the North vs. South
.... We are 'country' here in the south... but are most of the time more educated than people up north that SOUND educated... Our lyrics are totally different from each other but I wouldn't say better or worse... I think in the South we use the dialect to our advantage to be catchy and the credible southern rappers have more creativity in their lyrics... some people think we use beats for a crutch but I think thats just another thing we have an advantage of over them...  thats just my opinion...

dude made some valid points but he can't leave out sourthen cats like:

scarface

8ball & mjg

shit he from tx... face & ugk should ring some bells.

yea hip hop started in ny. but it doesn't end there.
every region has something to offer & made its stamp on hip hop.

and as far as southern rappers; put andre 3000 up against any ny rapper- line for line. see how it pan out.
-------------------------------------------------------------

@Blackpeople

First of all, I agree w/fresh_isthe_name on list of some the southern rappers who deserve to be mentioned. I'm sick and tired of people talking about whats real Hip Hop and whats not. The criteria for what's hot, a lyricist, what's real or not is very much subjective. Hip Hop did orginate in NYC, no doubt, but all New York rappers have not been lyrical. If you don't believe that, look it. Just like all West Coast, Mid-West, Southern rappers are not lyrical. There is defintely lyrical rappers in the south and have been for years. The one thing ya'll cats are not mentioning on here is that Southern rappers lyrical or not got no play from the rest of the Hip Hop powers that be's in the past because % black people in general look down on other blacks from the south. Therefore, is spilled over to the music. Where, ya grandmama, aunt or cousing from you 3rd generation moved away type nigga. Your roots from da south, check em. Peep, where Nas, pops from............exactly, Natchez, Mississippi. Where is Snoop and Daz roots from......Magnolia, Mississippi. I could name a list of rappers, athletes and entertainers but you get the point. Everybody on this website as well as others hate on Soulja Boy, why?? Like Bun-B said "Do you want this 16 year old kid to talk about gangsta ish?" Now, don't get me wrong, I am know way a big soulja boy fan but I don't hate him either. Soulja boy has his place and hasn't tried to get out of his lane. He hasn't ever said that he was the next coming of Hov or Nas. Ya'll cats just mad because he isn't. Is everyone in the NBA on Michael Jordan's level............, No, but they still get paid to play. We recognize that Mike is the best or one of the best. But that doesn't mean people should ish on the 95% of the other players who are not on his level. What makes Hip Hop so beautiful is that everyone doesn't have to sound like Rakeem, Jay or Nas. Hip Hop is diverse. When hip hop started in New York not all those rappers were lyrical, I stress this. For Example, Hip Hop, Hip Hop, Ah' Hippy to Hippy to hip hop, you rocking to da bang bang boogie, say up jump da boogie, to da boogdie beat.............. you get my drift. But that was ok. Because that song made you wanna dance. There is indeed some garbage in the south but that does not reprsent everyone. If people were not rocking to some of the trash everyone talks about these rappers would disappear. You wanna say where hip hop started, well soul music comes from the south. If there was no blues, there would be no rock, rap, etc..... . People complain about who know one can spit in the south but I beg to differ. I'ma a Lil' Wayne fan and have been since He and Lil' Doogie aka B.G. were the B.G'z back in 1995-96. But I'm not gonna mention Wayne because there are too many Wayne haters here and can't see the forest for the trees when his name is mentioned. The haterism starts to flow. Anyway, Scarface just released the album MADE and I can guarantee that most you all have not listened too it yet in still complain that lyricist don't exist in the south. Ok, Cool. Well, what about these cats:

Andre 3000 & Big Boi (people now tend to over look Big Boi since 3 stacks has been killen')
Eightball & MJG
UGK
Scarface
Z-Ro
T.I.
Chamillionaire (Not a big fan but his not like most Houston Rappers)
Mia X (She used to spit fire. The most lyrical on No Limit by far)
Ludacris
Cee-Lo & Goodie Mob

I can guarantee that people from the south who don't wanna listen to non lyrical rappers, they're more than likely to listen or have listened to the majority of artist on my list. Stop hating on the south its not a region thing. What you stupid a$$ mo fo's don't realize its the record companies pushing this bs into da game. Ya'll mad at the artist for doing them but if someone wouldn't give em a record deal we wouldn't be having this discussion. Chuuuch, Tabernacle!!!!! Come on home and get some grits!

I'm not from the south but I'm in between. Check the Avi which is DC. So we have love for everyone. You forgot to mention that up North rappers love Scarface! Some rappers feels that he's their favorite rapper of all time!

You forgot to mention on your list:

Devin The Dude (One of my favorites)
Mac (from No Limit could spit)
Fiend (from No Limit was signed by Ruff Rydaz because he was spittin)
Master P (went from a broke dude to Forbes Magazine, he was the first rapper to do that)
Nappy Roots

______________________________________________________

You're right. I did leave a couple people off. Meant to put Devin the Dude on the list but didn't think about it until afterwards.

Scarface is da truth. The crazy part about he doesn't care about being the best. For example, on one of T.I. mixtapes (where he's dissing Lil' Flip throughout/ DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz), the topic of King of South came up and he said "You can have that shit dog, I don't wanna it."

I agree but the all have a place. For example, down here when Shoulder Lean (Young Dro) would come on chick went crazy. I rather hear that in a club anyday versus the most lyrical song I could think of.

Yo first off, you cats that like the south need to stop gettin so offensive...word!

Yo tha brotha was talking about the essence of hiphop...what essence mean?

Yo HipHop started in NY...Lyricism started in NY

If you want to talk about essence of Nascar you going to Japan?...nope....The south right

Okay

So if you wanna know what real hiphop is from the roots you need to check the list he put up.

Its not an attack on south or West artist...

Every time somebody say sumin about real hiphop people from the south feel attacked.

The truth of the matter when compare to emcees like Big, Ice Cube, Scarface, Common, most of that south stuff is gimmicky and foolish.

But that's an opinion

We all think our region or type of music is better or as good.

But the genesis of spittin came from NY, not LA, not GA, and not TX.

On the whole a emcee is someone who can get the crowd live with just lyrics, not dance, no catchy phrases.

I like certain south artist so don't fuck me up Gawga...

Man, everybody should leave the brother alone or better yet offer him some some support.  He's losing the love of his life to cancer & apparently the brother is mad depressed, having baby mama drama, problems with his kids & trying to keep it all together.  Shit like that can really kinda throw off your perspective, worldview &  judgement.

Yo BAM-I knew you was on some rock star shit from the get.  I remember seeing you & Mike G at a rave here in Seattle.  Good shit.  Hold your head brother & have faith in God.  I don't quite understand or agree with your "Pagan movement" but i wish you success with it or whatever you do.

Thank you for many years of dope hip-hop music.  I still listen to Done by the Forces of Nature & Jb'z Wit Tha Remedy to this day.  Keep ya head up & try to stay positive.  I read on your site that you fell asleep on the street to clear your head & had your phone stolen as a result.  Bro, try to take better care of yourself.  I'm sorry us Hip-hop heads are so fickle & so many people were saying so many evil things about you.  You are a true pioneer & you deserve your props.

The album is not a classic by any means, but the most accomplishing fact of the album is that it thinks outside the box and pre-dates a genre like "Big-Beat" by at least 5 years.... That shit used to be very popular down here in Europe.

@ Jdub1911

I just checked it out and that's definitely co-signed..I think that first Goodie Mob cd is a classic..Hell sometimes I didn't peep what they was saying until I went back and listened to it and i'm from Ga..So, that's the other thing to it..Just because people don't understand our language or lingo they think we are just talking gibberish but it's really the shit that's being said was going over their heads..I think people have to understand thatthe music is a direct reflection of the feel of an area..It's like this Cali got gangsta shit but they got a large underground of real hip hop artists, and so does the South and Midwest but since people ain't checking for them they hear what's on the radio and tv and assume that that's what all the people are about..It's no secret that the South is known for partying and entertainment and in any genre of music we held that down..We've always had the best party music..But we've always had artists that talked of the social injustices as well...

@ Macgarvin

I hear you bruh and that's how it should be..But it's funny how fast the world is changing..I remember when the South was about showing love and southern hospitality but because the hater mentality is spreading amongst our people everywhere the same has happened down here..We need to get back to being the righteous people we were made to be and lose all the jealousy and envy..We still haven't learned that you can get more accomplished with some assistance than by ourselves..It's this Me, Me, Me attitude that keeps taking us further back but we think we are moving forward..That's why I don't get happy or support the blacks that are rich but ain't doing shit to help their people..I could care less how much you make if you ain't doing the right things with it..Hopefully, with all this knowledge building  we'll spark the mind of somebody that got the ability to lead and bring us back together because I don't see us doing it on our own..We are so use to being controlled mentally that we stay waiting on our next command from our masters whether it be the powers that be or following behind these ignorant niggaz that feed into the plan knowing they have the ability to create positive change but instead they chose the easy way to success and wealth..Like Pac said it might not be one of us but hopefully we can create the spark in the right person..We need to be reprogrammed into loving ourselves, respecting our people and community and being supportive of each other instead of looking to put each other down each chance we get..Just like you said true power is in numbers..

@ jaeda

What's good pimpin? I feel you and that's why we can only do what we can as individuals..I know we as a people have a lot to learn about parenting but the shit going on nowadayz is ridiculous..A lot of things we surround our kids with our parents didn't put around us..I remember having to go to our rooms and shit when company was over..Now lil kids can chill and be all up under grown folks and shit and we wonder why the kids are growing up so fast and doing the things they do..It's not just the kids they were taught these things...

@ BlackPeople 1

Okay, I give you the fact that Master P wasn't an rapper nor solid lyricist..He was a businessman just like the majority of the southern rappers coming in the game..It's not so much about the art and you have to understand that if you looking for that then you have other options in the South and in other regions..But what you fail to realize is Master P put a lot of black people on and gave them jobs and taught them how to get money..Look at how many people that have eaten off P's plate and then look at Nas..Nas is hip hop and he's a lyricist and this and that but what's his contribution to hip hop besides albums? Get my point..Different people have different talents to offer..Take what you can from each and keep it moving..Also, there was plenty of solid albums that came out that No Limit Camp but aside from that P changed the rap game..I give props where it's due so with that said he soaked up the game from the West because they was on the indie tip first but he took that and ran with it..No one gets in this rap game hoping to stay broke so know matter how you want to look at it getting money has always been apart of this culture..Just because the South do it it's a problem..Did you miss the 80's and all the buffoonery that went on up North with the jewelry? Do you remember where all that bullshit started at? You know where it came from so don't knock us for doing something that started up there..We just doing it our way..

But honestly, I think you speak on the South a lot and don't really know much about our culture and music..You skim through it instead of listening..If we do that with the artists up there we get bored as well..But the difference is we don't get mad at other regions for supporting their artists because we are going to support ours..No one would even be talking about this if the catz up there were more creative, had better business sense, and stopped concentrating on what's going on down here..The other thing is we build alliances and that's why even our less talented artists can stay afloat..The artists up there bring each other down and that's why it's not a South vs North thing..It's a North vs North thing...You can be ashamed of our grammar and other things but then look at all the dumb shit that constantly happens with the artists up there..When you point fingers it opens you up to be dissected and the problems that lie up there are just as damaging to the culture than anything going on down here...But let's be honest you don't know many of our underground artists and you barely even know the work of our more established..Just like you want others to go back and check out where it started up you have to do the same with our artists instead of passing judgment because of something you heard somewhere..Like I said we get all the criticism because the spotlight is shining hard on us..When it wasn't why didn't people have all these feelings? Exactly..Wait until it moves to the next region..People will dissect them as well..Instead of embracing and trying to understand we push our people further away, which helps to create this individualism that's bringing us down..

@ Five18p

Lol, you know it's all love playboy..But we all know hip hop started up North but rap started in the South..I really don't want to say that because it's probably goes back further than our roots in America..But as for here we created rap..More was added to it and that formed hip hop..Go back and watch some of them old movies and listen to some old records...It's a difference because one is a form of storytelling and the other is an actual culture..The South never really got into the whole hip hop movement as a whole..Hip hop just gave us an outlet to put out rap music..Some of our artists fit into the hip hop category, some are rappers and some ride the line..No matter what region or era you look in the ones that rode the line usually had the most success..I think some people classify the majority of rap music up North as hip hop when it's not..I feel hip hop is not just about the lyricism it's about the topics and messages..I could rap about some bullshit but because i'm lyrical don't make it hip hop..

But the artists ain't what changed the music business..It's the consumers..We are getting dumber as a people so the music is going to reflect that in whatever region..Back in the dayz it was cool to learn about our people and to rock the African attire with the leather medallions..Look at our heroes back then even though we loved hip hop..Look at who the kids look up to now...We falling into the trap..We make our kids focus on learning whatever lies or curriculum our f'ed up govt wants to teach them while never bother to inform them of their own history..We are being brainwashed into chasing the American Dream like ratz in running in circles..The dream is a nightmare and if we want reality we have to teach it ourselves..We are being trained to be workers bees without an opinion..We need to go to the root of the problem to create change but as long as they got us focused on money while forgetting about morals and values we'll continue chasing our tails..

====================

11 types of Ho's....

11 Types of Ho's...

11. "The Undercover Ho" - This type of ho often goes unoticed in the community, and can only be detected by a trained eye. She holds down a decent job during the day, but is secretly hoeing around with at least 5 different trifling men. Two of these men are married, and at least one of these men is dating her best friend.

10. "The Church Ho" - Her hair and nails is always done. This ho is in church every Sunday and carries a Bible with her at all times, but spends Tuesday through Saturday night of every week in a different club. She is sometimes mistaken for the Undercover Ho.

9. "High Class Ho" - (also known as the "Glamour Ho") - This type of ho rocks Prada and Versace, and only dates players, ballers, and shot callers. She is most often the cause of some fight in a club (i.e. Source Awards). She tries to act like she's got class but confuses regular English with Ebonics. She also has trouble with simple arithmetic.

8. "Old Ho" - The OLE Ho used to be tight "in her day," and thinks she still looks good for her age." She tries to wear all of the Soul Train fashions, thinking that she will blend in with the rest of the hunnies. You can find her at any club on any given night, gringding on the dance floor during any song, with any man, of any age.

7. "Nasty Ho" - This ho has not exactly been blessed in the looks department, but is usually very popular with the men for her other talents. Most often, she has a "tight" body and be found working in a strip club.

6. "Sneaky Ho" - The sneaky ho cannot be trusted in anyone's home or with anyone's man. Money and other personal items "turn up missing" not long after she's gone. She is always "dipped" and can never remember where she's purchased the coveted item of clothing. The Sneaky Ho aspires to be Undercover Ho but has already made too many enemies by stealing.

5. "Bourgeios Ho" - This type of ho is educated and professional woman with many credits to her name, she dresses well and has a sophisticated circle of friends. To the outside, these women are perfect, however these Ho's have multiple partners and sleep with married men like "Undercover Ho," perpetrate on Sunday like "Church Ho," get played by men just like "Stupid Ho," obsessed with name brands and status like "High Class Ho," and best of all...Bourgeois Ho looks down on all the other Ho's.

4. "Project Ho" - This Ho is living ghetto faboulous, squeezing money and trinkets out of her drug dealing "babies daddies." She likes to fight, and you will most often hear her before you see her.

3. "Stupid Ho" - She is usually very cute. The Stupid Ho keeps a string of men who constantly come over after midnight for booty calls. They often return to eat her food, watch her cable, and borrow her car and/or money. She complain s about them to her friends (i.e., Sneaky Ho and Project Ho) but never does anything about it.

2. "Crazy Ho" - This is a popular ho. Although she is very smart, the Crazy Ho is virtually an upgrade from the Stupid Ho. She has the same terrible luck with men, but unlike the Stupid Ho, she seeks revenge. Her areas of expertise include slashing tires, keying cars, making prank calls from unlisted numbers, visiting the trifling man (or other Ho's) jobs, and appearing on Judge Mathis for any of the aforementioned activities.

And Finally!!

1. "The Stank Ho" - This is perhaps the most popular Ho of them all. the Stank Ho has appeared on shows such as Ricky Lake, Jerry Springer and Jenny Jones. She has eluded herself into believing that she is beautiful, ad she sleeps with everyone to justify it.Her choice of wardrobe most often includes spandex (of every color), bra tops, and stripper shoes. She has a permanent "unwashed" look about her that cannot be removed with any amount of water or soap.

So which ho are you???

'Staggering' cocaine haul in Australia: police 2 hours, 30 minutes ago

SYDNEY (AFP) - A quarter-tonne of cocaine with a street value of more than 80 million US dollars has been seized in Australia after being shipped in from Southeast Asia, police said Wednesday.

Three people were arrested after customs officers found the drugs labelled as green tea in a shipping container of furniture delivered to a Sydney warehouse.

New South Wales Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione described the size of the drugs haul as "staggering".

"This is 250 kilogrammes (550 pounds) of cocaine that will not be adding to Australia's drug misery," he told reporters.

Detective Chief Inspector John Lehmann said a tip-off about suspicious transfers of millions of dollars to accounts in Southeast Asia led authorities to an organised crime syndicate.

"The money transfers were something that kicked off our investigation," Lehmann said.

"That is one way that we identify these groups and then it's a matter of delving further into their business."

A 50-year-old man and two women aged 28 and 25 have been charged with importing a commercial quantity of cocaine. If found guilty, they face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

Ra the Untouchable aka MANNYSTYLES

Is back in the booth RA THE UNTOUCHABLE Every now and then the hip hop world receives a creative burst of energy. That energy is Rudy Allen Ford / RA THE UNTOUCHABLE , whose name “RA” is tellingly derived from RA the Egyptian Sun God. RA was born in Minneapolis but was raised in Las Vegas and was eventually sent to reform school in Utah, where he learned his art and excelled as an all-state running back and all-around athlete and performer. After getting into trouble in school, RA was sent back to live in a Vegas housing project with his mother, who he had seen only a few times since he was a child. In and out of foster care and reform school, RA had to adjust to the hard and fast Vegas street life. So feeling like he had to prove himself, he found trouble and of course trouble found him. He did however come to the attention in 2004 of the Maloof Brothers , Kevin Black ,Mike Rios /Clintion Sparkz, G-Unit's former website designer Jay Brown and many other major music and film executives, who remain impressed with his exceptional abilities on the microphone and business savvy. Songwriting and arrangement are strengths that also shine through on every track. RA left the excess of Vegas and was ended up arrested in March 2004 for attempt murder in South Carolina and is free and has now been honing his craft in Virginia - and today, he is ready to share that craft with the world.
