KANYE’S NEW SHOW?
I told you all before that Kanye and Rhymefest were working on some sort of television series. Now I am hearing a rumor that Kanye might be delving into some other sort of fashion-based TV show. Somebody told me that it will be a “Project Runway wit a Kanye twist!” I don’t know, but perhaps ‘Ye will clear the air on his blogs. Maybe he can help me with my fashion issues. I’m just not down with the tight gear. Anyway, the rumor is Ye or his producers are looking for a network to house this rumored show.
JAY-Z TO SCOOP TWISTA?
I don’t know the status of Roc-A-Fella these days, but we all know Jay-Z is now over there with RocNation through Live Nation. Well, you know Dame Dash and the Roc wanted to get Twista over there at Roc-A-Fella, but Atlantic wasn’t having it. RocNation Team is circling the homey Twista. Twista, I heard, wants to also bring on his Speedknot Mobstaz with him.
KIDZ IN THE HALL…OR KIDZ IN THE JAIL?
For some reason, the underground rap scene fails to make the rumor page. I don’t know if people care. Oh well, here is the latest regarding Kids In The Hall, a group down with Duck Down. A couple days ago in Tempe, AZ there was the Bobby Fresh Fashion Show at Cherry Lounge that was supposed to have Cinque, Tyga and Kidz In The Hall performing. Tyga was a no show. Cinque was dope, I heard, and Kidz In The Hall picked up the slack and put on a real good performance.
Anyways, hell broke loose at the end of the Kidz set. DJ Double-O allegedly swings at security with a big ass bottle of Grey Goose. He straight missed and security reportedly rushed him and beats him down. I heard Double O has a big ass cut across the eyebrow and was bleeding everywhere. I heard Double O got arrested. By this point cops are all over and the rapper Naledge gets into it with somebody and they arrest him too! I heard some Duck Down records people go hauled in as well. Damn! Now, at the end of the event, I heard the cop let Double O go because the security didn’t press charges. They said that as long as he didn’t press charges, they’d call it even. I heard it was a big ol’ underground mess.

Yesterday, I spent the day at Tupac Amaru Center for the Arts. The celebratory event was held in the peace garden. Despite the rain, hundreds of people showed up. The dew drops from the rain dissipated as the warm energy from the sun shined on the smiling faces of the children. The gas issue, police brutality, the disparity in the health care industry and injustice in America were espoused upon through poetry, song and dance.
Mrs. Shakur stated, "I am proud of each and every child, parent and guardian, instructor, volunteer, staff and supporter that worked towards the 10th Annual Summer Camp production, "Signs of the Times." Indeed, the students commitment and willingness to learn new ideas and express themselves is a sign of the times. This is our 10th year of the Annual Summer theatrical camp, and we are blessed to host it in our very own Peace Garden.
T.O. GOT AN IPOD AND A PAC MAN (PAUSE)

What I heard is that T.O. was going up in a strip club with iPod plugs in his ears. What? Do you go in a club for the music and personal interaction with people? Guess not. I heard T.O. was nodding his head to the fullest to whatever he was playing in his world. I heard the stripper girls started dancing extra hard when they saw T.O. As for Pacman, he was asked what T.O. was listening to and he just started laughing! Who knows! Anyway, Adam was real cool, I heard and eventually left the spot in a Bentley GT.

BERG GETS THE BOOT
The great City of Fayetteville, NC had its annual Summer Jam concert and I heard somebody had a problem. Rumor has it, Yung Berg was performing and then his magnificent DJ kept putting on the wrong song
. I heard Yung Berg cussed his spin doctor up and down right there on the stage. Well, in Fayetteville, there is no cusing allowed at Summer Jam, a stark contrast to some of the other ones. I heard Bergi was given the boot for too much profanity. He didn’t cause a scene. He just left with no problems.

“Freeway” Ricky Ross. There are so many emotions that go through me when I think of him. He’s now 48 years old and he’s got a different mind state that when he was running drugs with help from the U.S. government. Here I where he is NOW:
The lack of education among our youth is quickly destroying the Black Males of America--specifically the young black males. Most of them are living a dangerous life without any goals or guidance. To one day end up in a prison cell that had been assigned to them many years earlier is a horrible recurring theme in our society. There are so many young black men that are growing up in fatherless homes while running towards the unforgiving and unrelenting streets, they have no positive direction. They care more about Bling, Sex, and bloody money, than they do about education and a future. And they believe that there is no other way to survive in a cruel ghetto world. They are confused, and they are living a lie. Most of these young men don't even realize the truth until it's way too late. When they eventually do find out that selling drugs is a set-up, and the system has always been against them, they've already gotten themselves a 30 year prison sentence. As a former drug king pin and a father of five sons, my job now, and sole purpose in life, is stopping other young Black men from making the same mistakes I made (walking in my father's footsteps). I was tricked into believing that the dope game and fast streets were my only future. In reality, it only got me a life sentence. The whole time it was a trap by the U.S. government to capture and incarcerate another young black entrepreneur. This can't be the future we had in mind.
