When Will Revival Happen?

When Christians acknowledge a personal dis-dain against self-preservation that inflicts an inability to produce the fruit of the Spirit, flames of revival will take hold. The flames of revival will set a heart a fire for the sure mercies of God.



What are the flames of revival? First and foremost, it is the greatness of God (Isaiah 6:1). It took a Great God to save and it takes a Great God to sanctify (Exodus 14:13). Secondly, it is the Grace of God (Isaiah 6:7). The Grace of God is Himself our sufficiency and wholeness. Finally, and of no less importance, the flames of revival will always include the very Groaning Of God (Isaiah 6:8). The groan of God is the very gospel of Christ. Just as sure as redemption is by the cross; revival is nigh the cross.

When I heard this news i was in shock! I heard he had pneumonia but i thought he was gon' beat that and keep it pushin. Couldn't believe it, still can't. It's some sad, sad news. I was just watchin Charlies Angels with my daughter the other day and he was in that movie and hands down that's my baby's favorite movie (after the Cheeta Girls and Camp Rock). Prayers go out to his family and everyone that feels a loss in the death of Bernie Mac.

According to Mary Ann Grossett - Bernie's sister in law - he passed peacefully with his wife of 30 years Rhonda at his side. Here's how Mary Ann describes his final moments on the earth:

I understand. I just learned a few days ago on my own, that I've been depressed for a very long time. Somehow though, I don't take my frustrations and pains out on others. Life is so difficult at times, and things always seem to be able to get no worse...but the thing is to know that they can. You've already overcome a GREAT obstacle in just KNOWING that you're depressed.

I'll explain to you what's been happening with me...

I just lost my job and my girlfriend of 4 years on Friday. The past two years of my life have been a constant struggle for sanity. I've lost four babies, two to miscarraiges, one abortion, and another a stillborn. But, haha, somehow, I can still lift my head through it all. I've been killing myself trying to make everyone in my life happy, EVERYONE...but myself. I work hard. I always give to my family and friends, but I had come to the realization a few months ago that the amount that I give is, and has NEVER been returned to me in full. For instance, I was just telling my best friend Friday night that I need a new set of friends in my life, and one of my friends, (who I have known my ENTIRE life), calls me and tells me that he saw my face before I left for work on Friday, (the day I got fired), and that it hurt his heart because he'd never seen me in so much pain, so he invites me to Great America on Saturday. I told him I didn't have any money, but he told me that he's got me on the ticket and gas, so I agree. Lo and behold, when we're well on the road and go to buy the tickets, he tells me about what's been going on with him...and that he doesn't have enough to buy my ticket. lol, that's fucked up. So, I get my own ticket with the little I've got and we go...that's when I hear about Bernie Mac. Messed my whole head up...it's sad. But, I go and make the best of it regardless, because I'm STILL here.

Stress kills. I've been dying for a LONG time. I don't sleep much, and I'm already 140lb.'s standing at 6',1", but I can't eat much anymore. Anyways, I'm saying all this so that you know you're not the only hurting out here...I FEEL you. Just know though, that it's a blessing to still be able to type all of this to you at the moment.

More importantly than anything else, KNOW that everything is everything. It is what it is, and whatever has happened to you in that past cannot be changed. It will be ok. Look to the future, what is it that makes you happy? Find that, pursue that, and achieve that. Change the things that you are able to change. Many times we hold ourselves back from our destiny's. Life is hard, so you've got to be harder and NEVER let anyone stand in your way. We'll be ok...I TRULY believe this. No matter what. I will NEVER fall.

Co-sign**  IMO hun we are incredibly complacent right now as a people- we're our own enemies. And the truth of the matter is we divide ourselves amongst one another for different reasons; whether it be for fame, financial gain, political recognition, etc.-The fact that we live a society that is extremely individualistic and narcissistic is much of what the problem is in terms of unity. Unlike other countries we do not function as a society nor as a race that works from a collectivist (i.e. group oriented) framework-rather from "it's every man (or women) for him/her self" which to me is the highest form of destruction.

Practically, any response that's gonna be constructive needs to be more positive. Rioting and so forth tends to release pinned up emotion, frustration and bitterness (which all are emotions that are valid), however, but because rioting tends to be spontaneous and disorganized  it doesn't result in a cohesive plan leading towards lasting social change. I must admit, I don't have the EXACT recipe to what we should do, but this is my opinion in theoretical terms.

These are the three people that you never want to really settle down with. These people can change and develop but during this stage this type of person can literally deplete your life. A person that is always the victim and never takes any ownership will never be accountable for anything.

Fear of loss of identity, making you frantic in pursuit of maintaining a relationship with a person, place, or thing, which is in reality unhealthy for you.








Fear of loneliness, being alone, or isolation making you desperate to hold onto a dying relationship with a person, place, or thing, well beyond the time that it is reasonable to do so.








Fear of being independent which is due to the fear of the negative consequences of becoming independent keeping you weak and frail, thus needing the support and nurturance of those people, places, and things, on which you are dependent.








These are all very good examples of what a needy person is and these traits are so unattractive. The average person may have some of these traits but the best thing for this syndrome is stepping out of your box and conquering your fear. NO ONE WANTS TO BE AROUND A PERSON THAT CAN'T STAND ALONE. One of the most attractive things about a relationship is knowing that the person that you're with is still very desirable with or without you. MEN YOUR WOMAN WANTS TO KNOW THAT YOU HAVE ENOUGH SUBSTANCE TO SURVIE IN ANY SITUATION.

That last post of yours is speaking to my life, immensely.  When it comes to THE COMPLAINER, i have a sister that just complains, complains, and complains to my mom.  I be so damn sick and tired of that shit and i know my mom is, too, but she don't want to say anything because it might hurt my sister's (her daughter's) feelings.  I be telling my mom that one day, you are going to have tell her to stop bitching and move on!!!

I am the needy guy, sometimes (i think most of us are needy people at some point of are life), but i knew my boundaries.  I don't ask people for shit, but, if i needed help with some things and if someone wants to help me out because they heard i needed something, i'm taken it.  I understand about the extreme needy people who be asking for something everyday.  Those people be ruining lives and don't even know.

Kitna is my backup QB, and Farve is my starter.  With QBs, you can be less careful.  Your comment about Kitna being floppy is true, but he's going to score points because of it, too.  This is my third year doing fantasy football, and one thing i notice is that when you draft QBs, you get the ones that play on pass happy teams or the ones that play on bad teams (more opportunities to score points).  Kitna fits in both categories.

That Charlie Rose interview was hot...

Bernie's advice from House Party was one of the major highlights of that movie...especially when he said "f*ck 'em...f*ck'em against the wall, with handcuffs and crazy glue on they lips"...lmao!

We used to quote that part all the time.  Between that, and also when he meets oh girl's parents, and he says "I knew it...I knew I knew you...They used to call you JAWBONE because you could suck a golf ball through a water hose"...

That ish was priceless man!  

Gonna really miss Bernie.  His show was one of the best shows we've had in a really long time.  For real...a black man, taking on the responsibilities of his crackhead sis's kids.  Taking them in, fathering them...just priceless.

Was at a business leadership convention and read the news off my phone.  Really broke my heart to hear he was gone.  One of my all-time favorite comics.  Him, Richard, Eddie, Bill....they are in classes of their own.  Love them all...but the crazy thing is Bernie was that down home cat who you probably related to THE MOST, because you knew what he was telling you was what he lived.  NOt something he had to think on for a long time...just him:)

You'll be missed Bernie...dayum!

I just want to thank Illseed for taking the time to post these videos. its been awhile since I saw this videos and watching them makes me sad, because there will never be another comedian like Bernie Mac. RIP.

I hope that everybody takes the time to appreciate their lives because you never know when its your time to go.

This is a major loss right here. Bernie Mac was absolutely the man. I personally sampled some of his material for a song I did called "The Apocalyspe" a few years back. He was absolutely one of my favorite comedians and him no longer being here is a painful loss but with it, he will be remembered as one of the greatest comedians of all time. Rest in peace Bernie Mac!

Muddasuckas!!!!! Oh, my heart is sad this week as my thoughts are with Bernie Mac's AND Isaac Hayes' families. Bernie was THAT dude that never changed his ways or spoke 'The King's English' ... even on his Fox show. He was just Bernie Mac, the Mac Man, and that's what endeared him to so many of us. From him punchin' the crowd at the Apollo Theatre in the throat saying "I ain't scared of u muthaf*kas," on his forst Def Comedy Jam appearance to inventing words like "badussy", one of CHi-town's finest will be missed -- even from a Brew City cat. R.I.P. B-Mac ... hopefully you, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx and Robin Harris are somewhere talkin' sh*t to one another and making more people laugh than ever before. You'll never be forgotten.
