First of all, Travis Barker is alive! Some fool was spreading bad info that he had died.

I don't know if "Hip-Hop" is feeling any kind of way about Travis Barker and/or DJ AM. But there is a tragic new twist to the crash that claimed four lives. Apparently, DJ AM has suffered burns all over his face and he is getting skin grafts. On more tragic side, Travis Barker's assistant and bodyguard were killed. His assistance is a newly wed and a new mother. Prayers are being sent up for all involved.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END

Over the weekend, I posted a few videos of kids behaving badly. But, in all reality, its the parents acting like kids. Case in point, this video of this boy acting like some sort of pimp. They call him Lil Bill Bill "The Pimp On 7 Mile." WOW. Somebody of age actually put this on the internet like it was cute or fly. Kill yo' self! This boy is a pawn in a game somebody decided to play with his lil' life. He's be being rewarded for acting like an a$$...Life won't be so kind.

Is Diddy talking to illseed? Looks like Mr. Diddy Puff wants to shoot down the idea of him targeting anyone in particular in his Swagga Like Us rendition (Swagga Like Puff). And he also talks about Poo-gate. Dunno about that making the cover of anyone's rag. Must have been a slow news day.

The World Series of Hip Hop

Yeah so it's going down this week; Saturday at some undisclosed location in the NYC. Now please understand this once mad ambitious, epic event went from 200 ciphers in a round robin leading to a finals showdown worth a million dollars to four battles worth 25K with the two most well known battlers getting their start on reality TV. We have Lady Luck vs. Rece Steele, Murda Mook vs. Young Hot and E. Ness vs. Mysonne. I'm seriously starting to wonder about how much support Fuqaan Clover, the guy who came up with this event, really has in the Hip Hop industry. He's the one who can't get The Vapors (the movie) in the can. I mean, it was an awesome idea, but the deterioration from what it was to what it is now is horrific. Anyway, some folks have started murmuring (very quietly) about this event including ole dude in this video who swears Fat Joe stole his style. I guess we'll see him on the next Swagga Like Us freestyle. No One on the Corner has Swagga Like Gus, Swagga Like Gus, Swagga Swagga Like Gus… has a ring to it, huh?

With Travis Barker and DJ AM still fighting to recover from the crash on Saturday that took four lives, statements have been issued by plenty of the artists who have come in contact with the pair in the industry including; The Game, Paul Wall and Statik Selektah who posted the below on his MySpace page:

first off before anything, Rest In Peace to Little Chris Baker… who i had the pleasure of meeting a few times and was known through the world as a cool ass dude… know that when you salute or see the Famous Stars and Straps you are reppin for him!!

2nd, rest in peace to the other 3 people that lost their lives.

and finally, PRAY for AM & Trav, AM who is one of the ILLEST djs ive ever seen and has looked out for me on numerous occasions, and Trav for being one of the illest drummers, a great dad, and good dude… also cuz they are KNOWN for being good people. the world needs more of them. may they recover with God-speed.
