Kfish don't know what the fuck he talking about. Nelly was BORN in Texas, cause his daddy was in the Air Force at the time and thats where he was stationed. Both of his parents were born and raised in the Lou and they came back when his daddy got outta the air force when Nelly was 2 or 3. So, that makes the nigga from Texas? Get the hell outta here. The nigga grew up on Euclid & Labadie, and then later on, in U. City in the Purdue "Projects". As far as the Chingy thing, that was a matter of respect. Not even so much for Nelly, but more so for Ali. Chingy was on tour with the Lunatics and LIVING IN ALI'S BASEMENT!!, then outta nowhere he popped up with Luda & DTP. The whole issue was, "If you are going to jump ship like that, you could at least have enough respect for me to communicate that to me, seeing as how you're living in my house and I am taking care of you." And as far as Huey, his beef is that Nelly wouldn't get on his album. Okay, if you want to cry about that, that's cool. But you can't then turn around and say that Nelly tries to take credit for all the artists coming out of the Lou, because if he was trying to take credit for Huey's shit, he woulda jumped on the album and then been Huey is gonna fuckin flop and he knows that if Nelly woulda got on his album, he mighta had a shot and blowing up for real. Niggas in St. Louis keep wanting to act like it's Nelly's resposibility to blow every nigga in the Lou up. IT AIN'T! The nigga blew the city up when he came out and a couple of people (Chingy & J-Kwon- and a few others who fuckin flopped) were able to get in the door off of that. as far as "Party Hop" Dutchy....so called party hop is the essence of hip-hop from the earliest days hip-hop was started in the park, where they were essentially parties. Dougie Fresh and slick rick..sugarhill gang (i know ppl hate them too) the 80s was all fun rap. thats all based on FUN. wack is a matter of opinion so thats different. "in da club" is a party song too. anyway, i think its hate. im not a fan of amusment park and some of these new joints, but this "i got money" is tight...nice beat...flow is good. not hs best but better than 99% of anything rap on commercial radio right now.
