word. jimmy has been very quiet and he hasnt really showed any signs that he had beef with 50. all i can remember him saying in a hot 97 interview is that two of the big dogs in rap are beefing you really dont need to step in and intervene. you have to just let them duke it out. he said something like that. really tells you a lot about his stance with both of them. then there was the whole "beef" between him and cam. the signs are there and i am not shocked that he'd go to g-unit. at the end of that cam diss "funeral music". he goes on to say he likes jimmy and that he should be running dipset.

Reading Comprehension is essential, lil homie. I said they are selling more than 95% of rappers. Meaning, if you look at rap sales as a whole, cats are mostly doing 60-70k first week. Good sales, in this climate are at about 120K first week. Banks and Buck both did 140K+ first week. Meaning they are still outselling and therefore more popular than most of the rappers out right now. Can you understand that lil guy?

the only way to determine race based on DNA or genes is to look for other markers that MIGHT indicate race/ethnicity. for example: in a black person, there could be a dominant (or even a recessive) sickle-cell gene in their DNA. that can provide a scientist with a hunch that the person might be black cause mainly black folks get that disease. but beyond that type of investigation, biologically race doesn't even actually exist!

Only 3 of the 5 cops involved in the incident have been indicted, and the court case at this point revolves around charges (2 have been charged with manslaughter, the 3rd with reckless endangerment) against those cops. Here's what we're looking for:

2. A paragraph that a. summarizes the content and b. suggests 1-2 activities that teachers can do with this source. NOTE- This is a resource guide, NOT a curriculum. We are not looking for full lesson plans, but rather suggested activities.

INTRODUCTION AND CONTEXTUALIZATION: In order for students to see the Jena incident within a broader social context, teachers can have students explore various incidents in U.S. history in which Black men's rights have been violated due to individual and institutional racism. Before introducing the Jena situation to students, teachers can print out summaries, found through the links below, of the Scottsboro Trial, the Emmitt Till murder, the Rodney King incident and the Amadou Diallo case, along with a description of the Jena situation. Teachers should cross out any references to dates or
timelines in the articles. Have students work in groups to figure out when they believe the incident happened, and what clues they are finding to make that decision. Facilitate group discussion about when these events occurred, the social contexts that led to these events, and the actual historical dates. The case in Jena, Louisiana was brought to my attention by Mark Thompson of XM Satellite Radio. I was doing an interview with Mark in which the father of one of the children involved was also a guest on the show. I was shocked to hear his story, as well as accounts of the situation from independent media sources.

In December 2006, 6 black students were arrested for the beating of a white student in a racially motivated incident. The black students were charged with attempted murder, facing over 100 years in prison, while prior incidents of aggression by the white students, including hanging nooses and pulling out a gun, went relatively ignored by officials. The most riveting and telling aspect of this case is the statement allegedly made by the District Attorney, Reed Walters, who told the youths, “I could end your lives with the stroke of a pen.” If the Duke District Attorney Mike Nifong can be disbarred for his alleged misconduct in the Duke Lacrosse case, then Mr. Walters should receive similar treatment. His dreadful statement is not only problematic, it also represents a consistent theme of historic injustice in the south, in which
the lives of hundreds of thousands of African-Americans have been destroyed by prosecutors who feel comfortable abusing their power. We are asking all Americans to mobilize in support of the youth involved in this situation. I am also calling for Reed Walters to be investigated by the Attorney General of the State of Louisiana. Finally, the entire justice system in the state of Louisiana should be investigated by The U.S. Attorney General’s Office in order to determine why black men are being persecuted and imprisoned at such alarming rates. While many of these convictions may be just, there is reason to suspect that the punishment does not always fit the crime.

The lives of black youth are infinitely valuable. We will no longer tolerate instances in which the lives of our young people are stolen and destroyed. Please Sign our Petition Calling for the District Attorney in the Jena Six Case, Reed Walters to be disbarred. If Mike Nifong can be disbarred for his treatment of the Duke Lacrosse Players, we at YourBlackWorld argue that the District Attorney in Jena, Louisiana should be considered for disbarment as well.
