Lil Wayne ripped it on that song. If anyone has been listening to Cash Money when they put Wayne and B.G. out as a group, they will understand what Wayne is talking about. People really don't know how long Wayne been in the game. Yeah everyone has their ups and downs but he has been the most CONSISTENT. Yeah...he is hopping on too many songs right now, a verse here a verse there will over saturate someone, but, when it comes time for his release date, the shit will be hot.

Vitamin B17 is good for you, but remember too much of anything will cause problems. They should NOT be swallowed whole. One or two vitamin B17 tablets ( 100 mg ) is an acceptable supplemental dosage per day. Also, if you eat three apples a day, seeds and all, the seeds in the three apples are sufficient vitamin B17, that's about 90 apples per month. The apricot seeds should be taken throughout the day ( not all at once ), with at least one hour in between each serving. the kids i work with can range from 13-21 really, in the context of that group. it's our Leadership Group. and yes i be smashin on them cause they can be irritating at times. and i hear what u saying about when u were a teen, cause i was the same way. couldn't no adult tell me shit. and that's why i was hesitant about working there, cause i always thought i didn't want to work with adolescents, for that reason.

but it's like the best thing i could have ever done in reality, for them and myself. me, it's like i'm facing my past. looking at my evolution process. and they feelin' me cause they can tell that i done lived their lives already. they can identify w/me.

the kids in Leaders (majority) came to our agency madated by the juvenile justice system and made strides in our family program. then they voluntarily chose to come and be apart of Leadership. they are tryna better themselves but they are still struggling with the issues in our community and the type of lives they want to live, long-term. but they are really the shit to me. i love them and am very proud of them, guess that's the momma in me. ;)

oh and to answer ur question, i do think that only a small percentage of gay people have made that a choice in their lives. and i do believe that crimes against gay people based on their sexual orientation is a hate crime and should be treated as such. how can one justify the attack of a person based on something that they do behind closed doors,that has absolutely no impact on anyone else? imo there is no justification for that period. i say live and let live.

I have to disagree with you on Gays being born Gay.

I don't disagree with you at all...you brought up very valid points. All the stuff that happened to Wayne in the N.O. okay it happened...that don't mean nothing to me cause I ain't from there. I agree with you on the Carter 2 having no direction without Fresh...But what I am saying is, he is still dropping albums that have hot songs (not all of them are hot, but they are better than some of the trash that is out now). People need to realize that Lil Wayne ain't new to the game...He probably knows what's smart to respond to and what isn't. He knows 50 salt cause his album wasn't as hot as he thought it would be. He knows his limits as a lyricist and he knows what he can and what he can't respond to...At the end of the day he still gonna be getting money...He just wanted to address all the gossip and hate goin on about him.

I agree that Chad Johnson or T.O. are crying on the sidelines to their coaches isn't right. Take that to the locker room. There's ways to express your frustration besides stomping your feet and screaming when you know it's gonna be on national TV. If I was a coach, and a player did that, the next time they dropped a pass, or ran the wrong route, or caught alligator arms comin across the middle, I would pull him off the field, make sure the cameras were on and let him have it.

But at the end of the day there are almost 1,700 players on the NFL roster every Sunday, and maybe 100 of them are fucking up. That still leaves 1,600 men that are doin the right thing, or just not doing the wrong thing. Staying in their lane, if you will. Of course the negative is gonna get the attention, because it makes the good guy that much better when you finally do hear a story about someone that did the right thing, or went out of their way to help someone. Because 99% of the time you're used to hearing about the guy who went out of his way to shit on somebody.

Sorry I went off topic a little bit, but that shit gets me worked up. Don't blame anybody or anything but the individual. Unless they had a gun to their head, they were making the decisions themselves.

@GawgaBwoy770...but in a lot of instances, the hate was deserved that went towards those southern artists that were puttin' out garbage. I don't honestly think every coast was hatin' on the entire black southern hemisphere. For the most part it was No Limit, Cash Money, and then that onslaught of 'snap music', coupled with any ol' cat with a southern drawl talkin' about gettin' and havin' money. It just started to sound like the same thing over and over again if I'm remembering correctly. I liked some of No Limits records and some of Cash Money's cuts, but that other stuff I just mentioned was horrible. Just bad music in general. But we were gettin' it force fed to us for so long. You're right about how the West got hated on too, but we didn't immediately jump to say our whole coast is gettin' hated on when one person said they didn't like Dogg Pound. East Coast vs West Coast beef excluded. All I'm saying is that the South has respect for producing some outright legends in the game and that isn't going anywhere, but to claim 'southern hater' every time someone from up north or out west takes issue with one group or rapper who's doing well, but isn't considered a great artist is ridiculous. I just don't like that accusation. I'm from the West and I can't stand Game, lol. I know there are others out there like me. I just like good rap, no matter where it came from.

@Big Jake...I still think you're kind of blowing the southern rap hate thing out of proportion. There aren't that many people that just completely dislike southern rap. If that was the case, when you went to NY, you wouldn't hear it spinning in the clubs. Trust me, southern rap is getting all the love it needs. Record sales doesn't always equate to great artistry either. Hell, Will Smith goes platinum every time out, how do you feel about his records? As for Lil' Wayne kissin' Baby. Doesn't matter when it happened. Rap is unique in that it's the only genre of music where art empahtically imitates life. People want to know that rappers are representing what they talk about, not necessarily living it, but at least representing it. Lil' Wayne talks about being from the streets. The streets don't forgive homosexual acts. It's just a fact. How many thugged out, duffle bag boys that claim blood do you know that ever kissed another man on the lips?? If you only care about his raps, let's say he wore a dress and still rapped the same...would you still be as supportive? Chamillionaire is just crap to me. That simple flow, those simple rhymes, those corny concepts, those hooks he sings....it just isn't that good man. I've never heard him spit anything that moved me. I don't know anyone that owns one of his albums and I know quite a few rap fans. I think his fan base is predominantly in Texas.

@GawgaBwoy770....I see where you're comin' from. The east has in the past dissed anything that didn't fit into their mold of hip-hop. It even went so far as to say plainly that if you ain't from the east coast, you're just wack off that alone. I can understand their protectiveness of the culture they started though. It's like if you or I started up a movement that branched out into the corners of the planet, we'd be pretty protective of it too cause it's 'your baby', so to speak. Even if we don't want to hear it from the east coast, we should at least listen. We owe them that much as the creators. If it's just hate, then throw it out, but if it's constructive criticism, soak it up. I know a lot of up north heads enjoy southern lyricists and dance in the clubs to the other stuff too. That's why those east coast M.C.'s like Busta Rhymes and Nas were kind of hot about it. Their own DJ's weren't spinnin' creative, original hip-hop anymore and started trying to go corporate by only playing 'the hottest' songs out and they happened to be down south dance tracks. It's like KRS-1 said though, it's about innovation, not redundancy. We don't want to hear the same sound over and over....come with something fresh and new. Unfortunately there was a spell where all those southern bangers sounded the same....had that Lil' John sound.

I also can see why a lot of southerners might become defensive when hearing their artists criticized. It did go on for a long time, but even back in the day southern heads were considering it hate no matter how wack the artist was. That's a prime example of that unity you mentioned. They defended every one of their rappers, regardless of their skill or talent level. But do you honestly think it's too much competition? Hip-hop was bred on competition, trying to outdo the next cat. It's All-American in that sense.

Let's be totally honest about something..Rap started in the South..Hip Hop started in NY..There's a difference in the two but they are somewhat one in the same..Hip Hop pertains to many different elements but rapping is just making words rhyme and telling a story..More than anything the East Coast put it on records and brought the beats with the rhymes..But I do respect what they brought to the game but I don't feel as though we should be inferior to them.

You know what you said about KRS-1 saying hip hop should evolve..Well the East Coast artists ran into some stumbling blocks back at the end of the 80's and early 90's and they haven't really been the same since then..The reason the spotlight left them was because their artists were too similar and redundant.. That's what gave the West coast an opportunity to shine and do them..They brought some different beats and stories..Well the South is doing the same but we are telling it in our own language and dialect..Some of these people are just straight ignorant and should've learned more in English class but we understand them..

I do think black people are too competitive with each other..If all the ants in an ant bed wanted to be individuals and not work together then the job would take longer or not get done at all..That's why we ain't getting shit accomplished..We always got to look down on the next person because they hair is nappy, too dark skinned, too light, nose too big and so on..We always choose to make differences within each other rather than looking at our similarities and why we should be working together..

It's like this..With us rap is just like our way of living..More carefree and fun..When you think of the East Coast you think of more serious and uptight people..They rap more about their problems and the negativity from their experiences..The South choose to make light of it..We don't go around saying our rappers are the best and we created hip hop..Honestly, most people down here don't care about bullshit like that..We got pulled into a competition that we didn't want to be in, in the first place..Our artists don't go out of their way to say we belong to hip hop..They just want to get paid and have fun..That's it..

We know Gucci can't compete with Nas song for song or on any lyrical level but we'd much rather hear him in the club though...It's a time and place for all hip hop in my opinion..The bottom line is East Coast artists need to get mad at their people up there for not supporting them and not the rappers nor fans down here..We buy their albums but the people that should be relating the most to what they are saying ain't supporting them..Why? Because they hating on the artists from their neighborhoods saying they ain't shit because they don't want to see them shine..They think they should be in that person's position...That's the same reason why the South might keep hip hop in a choke hold for years to come..I've said this before and i'll say it again...When the East and West were in control of the game they had just as many wack rappers..I remember the shit that was being put out..The majority of them cats nobody even remember anymore and it will be the same way with a lot of artists that are out now in due time..

@GawgaBwoy770...I have to completely disagree with you on rap starting in the south. Rap is derived from the M.C. which is one of the four branches of hip-hop culture. Rappers began in the bronx....the south picked up on that later. And don't misunderstand me, I didn't say y'all or any coast should think they're inferior, just that every coast that participates in hip-hop owes the east the same respect you would an elder when they speak on Rap, DJ'ing, Graffiti, or B-Boying. That doesn't mean they will always be right, but it's because of them that we are even having this discussion so I think they deserve our respect to that extent at least.

I don't think the east coast stumbled in the late 80's either, nor the early nineties....those are what are referred to as the golden years of hip-hop. At that point, it was very hard to find one group that sounded the same. Producers weren't considered super producers so it wasn't guaranteed that you would hear one particular sound on every artists album. I know you know cause you were there. There was everything from Pete Rock and CL Smooth, De La Soul, Redman, Keith Murray, Ghetto Boys, OG Style, Eighball and MJG, Gangstarr, Big L, Common Sense, Fu Schnickens, N.W.A., RBL Posse, Souls of Mischief, Spice 1....we had so many different styles and artists to choose from. They were all different and innovative in their own way. That was why they called it The Golden Era. It was full of innovation from every coast that chose to participate. And my whole thing is this...maybe there were a lot of wack rappers on every coast, but at least they were wack in an original sense back then. They weren't all trying to sound like the next nigga. Same producers, same type of hooks being sang, same slowed down flow, same topics.

I also don't think the torch left the east because they were too redundant or sounded the same. The super producers had a hand in this and sales from dance music did too. Now, actual skills and creativity are being overshadowed by the investments music companies are willing to make to put out mindless, talentless dance music. It sells....simple as that. The south has always been good at making music to dance to so that's one of the main reasons the market is flooded with that brand of southern music. If you notice, it's not being flooded with the actual tight artists out the south who have lyrics. No Scarface, Juvenile, UGK, Eightball/MJG, Goodie Mobb, Field Mobb. No....we're getting Soulja Boy, Hurricane, Ying Yang, Lil John, Bubba Sparxx, and Tum Tum.

As for black folks being too competitive with each other, you're right in regards to black folks in general, but I'm talking about hip-hop specifically. Hip-hop is competitive in nature. Every aspect of it is about being doper than the next man. Hip-hop without competition is redundance because it just becomes more of the same. THAT is why Nas said it's dead. Nobody is trying to come up with anything new, fresh, or innovative and that's what hip-hop is all about. Without that, it's nothing....doesn't exist....dead.

I don't see how you can say southern artists don't want to compete and just want to make money while having fun. I don't think so....too many beefs go on down there for that to be true. T.I. and Lil' Flip. Luda and Young Jeezy. Scarface and Lil' Troy. Lil' Wayne and B.G......if that's not competition, I don't know what is. Just because a lot of them make carefree tracks doesn't mean they don't want to be the best. Why else would Lil' Wayne say greatest rapper alive?

I agree with you that there's a time and a place for different types of rap. I know I'm not bangin' Common on the way to the club, but I just wish the market would even out the field a bit more. Give us all they used to back in the day so we can choose what to listen to and not be forced into hearing and seeing something that we aren't feelin' all the time. Simply put......I still think y'all are trippin' and ain't nobody hatin' on the south, lol. Just a select group of artists....

I could give you a few rappers out of the South when there was no such thing as hip hop..James Brown was not just a singer..He was a rapper..Think about it..Rudy Ray Moore was also a rapper and he was from the South as well..It's a difference between being an mc and a rapper and to tell you the truth James Brown might should be considered both..The art of storytelling by slaves was where rap really originated from to really take it back to the essence...All forms of music pretty much originated down here..Most of the artists that come from the West and East people still live in the South..

I hear what you saying but they stumbled like hell at the end of the 80s and early 90's until Nas, BIG, Wu-Tang and Jay-Z brought it back..I don't care what the hip hop newspaper critics want to call that era..To the consumers the West had it locked during that time period..It even took people to catch on to BIG at the time..His cd probably didn't outsell Souljah Boy in his first week sales..EPMD was barely reaching gold status..The West and South make up the majority of the consumers so we really determine who will get radio play..I ain't saying the East didn't have great artists at that time but they wasn't doing no numbers or getting the attention that some of them actually deserved..But when you talk about that time period you can't just look at who represented them well you have to look at all the garbage acts as well..The majority of them I can't remember but Onyx was wack to me..Fu-Shnickens was wack.I started to bring them up at first but I left them alone..I can't really name to many of them because the majority of them I can't remember..It was a million niggaz rapping the same way from New York back then and even a lot of East Coast niggaz will tell you that's why they lost it for a few..The producers were making the same kind of beats..Why do you think the West got so much love? It wasn't their lyrics persay..It had more to do with the beats they brought because we all know that's what catch hip hop listeners ears first..

The Southern artists who you called out..Some of the deserve it but all of them are unique and they bring their own style to hip hop..I guarantee if you were in the club at any point that any of those artists had a cd out you would be up in there tipsy on some chick while she backing it up on you..Why not appreciate those artists for the experiences they help bring to you in the club instead of wanting to compare them to lyricists? I think Bubba Sparx shouldn't be in that list to begin with..I think you may have only heard a few tracks and judged him off of that but truth be told he can flow and he have some real topics sometimes..Why would you want to compare UGK to Lil John? That's like comparing Def Squad or Wu-Tang to Swizz Beats..By the way, you can't be lyrical and dance at the same time..I've never seen that work no matter where the artists was from..

By the way, when y'all had artists like Skee-lo dropping we forgave y'all..lol..He wasn't the only one either..The West had a lot of artists with similar voices and rap styles when they had the torch..So did the Midwest...But every artists from New York was rapping fast and trying to sound wild as hell at one time...It's natural...People from the same area will sound a like sometimes..Plus at the end of the day a rapper can't make nobody listen to their song or cd..If the consumers don't like it they won't support it..Plain and simple..

@GawgaBwoy770....but if we're takin' it that far down the line to the point that we're considering James Brown one of the original rappers instead of a soul singer, we might as well just say it started in Africa instead. I don't buy that definition of rap. I think it's just a way to tie the artform to older generations so they can make us pay respect and homage to the classics. Rap has gotten so fargone and often is seen as being such an original art that our parents and their parents want to define it as something their generation started so the rebellious nature of rap can be brought back to respecting our elders. I ain't doubtin' that my families roots and many other's are from the south. In all actuality, black folks around the country like the same things and that's all developed from the south. Our way of dressing, our taste in food, our music, our love for dance. We share that regardless of our coast. One thing people forget though is that when rap took off back in the late seventies, it wasn't just black folks doin' it. The Puerto Ricans and even some Whites were in on that movement as well.

As for the consumers being who we should blame, it's hard to do that because the majority of the people buying hip-hop albums are young white girls. Bet most people on here didn't know that, but that's an actual statistic. They make up the majority of hip-hop record sales. So how do we tell them that what they enjoy listening to isn't real hip-hop and they should help the culture get back to what it was? We can't. The majority of young white women in America know nothing of the culture or rap music's importance to the real fans. They do understand those simple ass lyrics though and know it's meant to shake their asses too. Same as it was back when rock and roll first hit the scene with Chuck Berry. It wasn't black folks that made him successful, it was white America. I guess we just have two different views on the competition aspect of southern hip-hop. I think a very large majority of them are very competitive. Any of them talkin' about slangin' drugs is a competitor cause that's a competitive business. You have to claim to have the best drugs, cheapest products, most weight available. I haven't heard a southern cat in rap within the past 5 years not mention drugs unless it was Souljah Boy or Outkast. Maybe a few others, but you get my point.

And good shit on the Nas ghostwriting. I can't knock that argument, lol. I won't go as far as to say that Will Smith caused the death of hip-hop or originality, but Nas does lose points for writin' rhymes for his cheesy ass, lol.

I agree about who makes up the majority of the consumer but that goes back to the hating issue and crabs in a bucket mentality because it wasn't always that way..When Southern artists began to support their artists the album sales began to plummet from both coasts but the difference is the West wasn't as divided as the East even with all the gangs and shit..The West and South artists can easily go gold or platinum with just their state and the few surrounding states..The East can't do that because of their mentality..When have you ever heard of any of their underground artists generating the mixtape sales that Jeezy or Plies did before they hit the market? They don't because they can't get that kind of love at home..

The way you speak pertaining to what the rappers are doing is like you would like to see all of them on the positive tip..That's being redundant and not original..Everybody can't be Common, Talib, Mos or Nas..That's just not logical and we can't expect everybody to have the same perception of what they saw growing up because not everyone had a positive person around explaining to them the difference between right and wrong..Some of these rappers grew up with crackhead mothers and fathers and don't know anything else except the streets..Should we turn our back on our own people for the struggles they went through or their way of explaining it? Music is entertainment and not everything can be blamed on rappers or hip hop in our community..We need better parents not better rappers..If the parents taught their kids morals and values then a lot of this music wouldn't even be relevant and a lot of these rappers would think more about what they are saying because they would think about the fact that they aren't just representing themselves but their families as well...

What East or West Coast artists haven't talked about drugs or guns on their cd and are older than 18? It's going to take you all weekend to think about that one too..All hustlers are competitive but it's a difference between friendly competition and hating..The difference is one is just saying I got something good you should check out too and the other is fuck that other nigga and come and fuck with my shit..See the difference? I know you get it now because the southern artists are more humble and are like just check out my cd..The east artists are on some fuck them niggaz and come listen to my shit...It's just like with a woman..It don't take a real nigga to hate on the next man to get the chick..I ain't never been a hating type a dude so I can't relate to all that shit..I live by morals and values and I stick to them..Hating is a weak emotion that niggaz resort to when they can't compete..

Since you are from up there let's be totally honest..The east coast carry themselves with a certain cockiness and arrogance pertaining to fashion,music, language and damn near everything else..It's always we are the best and smartest and this and that..Truthfully, when have you ever heard a southern artists come out and openly diss anything about y'all culture or anything else? This hating thing didn't just start yesterday..I have people in New York so I know how we were and still are getting dissed on y'all radio stations..We never was on that bullshit when everything that was being played down here was coming from y'all..But as i've said before and i'll say it again 95% of our artists or fans don't concern themselves with the nonsense..We like good music, whether it be lyrical or club..The only reason we are getting any spins up there now is because of the kids..They want to dance, laugh and be happy..Well, in my opinion let them have it because eventually they are going to step into this grown folks world and their perception of life will change and so will their taste in music..If more niggaz our age supported real hip hop in which I do then the artists we want to hear would be getting the recognition they deserve..Instead most of these niggaz are going around bitching and complaining about what's on the radio but ain't went out and bought none of these artists cd's with something to say..We as people talk and complain to much, with very little action..

I definitely agree it's good music coming from everywhere and I listen to anybody with something to say..I dig Joell Ortiz but do you think it really helped him by trying to shit on the south with his first single? It was showing respect to his roots but the stepping on your white sunglasses shit was a subliminal diss..It was unnecessary because he got talent..Then you got Havoc drunk ass dissing everybody because his cd went double plastic..I think he got talent too but he's an idiot for signing to 50 because they lost credibility with that move and they don't promote everybody cd's the same over there..But just like you said everybody is too consumed with the money and not the art..
