1. Foxy stealing a Jha Jha song? Who knows? It could happen. Maybe she ran out of credible ghost writers. I've never heard Jha Jha spit. Is she nice?

2. King Tee was that dude for a minute. I always felt he was underrated. Looking to hear what he's coming with.

3. Irv Gotti's comment has some truth to it. But he also failed to mention the fact that they did everything they could to keep 50 from coming out. That's how much they were worried about him. That's why they went after Em and Dre. It's was all good when they were talking shit when they thought 50 wasn't going to get a deal. But you don't try to stop a man from bettering his life. Karma is a bitch which is why they got what they got.

4. Say what you want to say.. the Dipsetters are being very PC about everything. Not really going at one another. But you can tell that this shit could explode any second and then sides will be chosen.

5. I agree that Nas' album title is for shock value.. but who says that's not a good thing. People need to be shocked!

6. Soulja Boy... you never stop a show man! You're supposed to keep going regardless. I swear these new rap cats are more Diva than rappers. Everyone is not gonna like you or your shit. So fucking what! Sensitive ass rappers need hugs.

7. It seems like a lot of Rihanna's hits were meant for others. "S.O.S" was meant for Nick Cannon's ex-flame Christina Milian and she decided to go with the Jeezy shit instead and got dropped. I think Rihanna's take chances with songs that other people don't see the potential in. Kind of like what Jay Z does with producers.

8. That Virginia Tech shit is foul. But you know, white folks can get away with shit like that.

Why is it that someone is a "hater" when they express their opinion? I think its stupid as hell, at a time like we are now, to use that word for your album. Whats the point? Are you going to adress the word, its usage, the times on your album? If your album is named "Nigger" than you should use the album as a platform to say something. In that regard, if Nas does do that, okay, but we all know he wont. He'll have one song called "Nigger" and the rest will be filler of the same old shit. Hiphop is being attacked from all sides, for its irresponsibility, and the one voice that we turn to to rise above, to kick knowledge, is playing right into their hands. Its bad for hiphop, irresponsible and stupid.
Now as far as the "its just for shock value" thats the pot callin the kettle black, even tho beefs / battles have been instilled in hiphop since day one and saying "HipHop is Dead" during the whole south conflict or calling your album "Nigger" right now when everyone is up in arms and rappers are being arrested left and right. Its stupid.
Think about it you have basicly 5 platinum artists right now. You have Jay, 50, Kayne, T.I. and Luda.
They got T.I. one of the big 5, and they tried to set up 50 too, they are trying to effectively kill our genre of music and Nas isnt helping, to me Nas should be leading the way, he is the voice as far as rappers that we look to for leadership and knowledge and he is playin the fuck outta himself and his legacy with this shit. IMO.

I have some white friends that struggled with me coming up.

But the one difference is, that being white you have that advantage over every one else.

People just seem to trust White more than Black, they treat Black as being sub-par.
It's messed up but it is what it is.

Example: lets say I owned a bizness and I had two teams that went door to door selling.
One team was all white the other was all black and both are equal in talent

The White team would most likely generate more sales than the other, just off their skin color.

I've seen it done a million times.

I work in Sales and I have to work harder to gain that respect, I can't even dress casual like my white co-workers because white people see my casual as HipHop and them as normal.
Sheeet we can wear the same shirt and jeans and because I don't tuck my shirt in and it's not tight as fuck I'm "urban" lol

As a white dude whose been into some shit I've dealt with my share of struggle, but I wouldn't compare it to the struggles of non-whites in a white, male dominated society. Personally I don't think that we should seperate our pain, I mean we all feel pain the same, but it's how we overcome that's different. I find alot of white people take for granted what others have to fight for.

i can dig it. i drop that question to check the response. i see you the only one that got a answer to it. my take on it is that evil way stronger than good due to the fact that evil actions dont bare the burden of consequence and judgement. everytime a good person or movement makes a reaction he or it is stuck with a moral high ground thats based on a final judgement. with this logic of good. evil will always win out every time. its like getting in a gun fight and you stop to think about the repercussion of pulling the trigger and the person you fighting with dont hesitate. who you think gonna come out alive. the religous high ground is a very dangerous place to dwell. what if humans dont turn into angels after they die what if there isnt a final judgement. good and evil is the same thing just different sides of the same spectrum. until people overstand this logic. evil will always win over good.

So,

The way I look at it one of 3 things happen when you die.
1. you go to join GOD on another Realm
2. you become reincarnated
3. you just die!

I believe in GOD so I'ma roll with numba 1.

And really what harm is it to do so?

Animals live by an instictive nature, they don't do anything else different, other than what they may mimic from other creatures.

We Humans have a soul and feel and think differently.

If you had 2 dogs laying down, one was malnurished and the other was just hungry, what would happen if you put one bowl of food out?

Would the hungry dog say...I'm hungry but this dog will die if he doesnt' eat, so here's half or all of the food I'll get some later?

Or is the hungry dog instinctive and just runs for the food and devours it before the malnurished dog has a chance?

That is the difference between us Humans with a Soul and animals.

Even if a human choses to eat the food knowing another may die from it. He still knows in his mind that he was wrong.

No animal in the world thinks that way.

There are way too many signs on this planet and universe that says something greater created it.

So if you feel the way you do then there would be no consequence in the end and the bad will prevail

But I feel the the end is forever for the good and in that...they prevail.

The term "the good die young" comes to mind.

Our job on this planet isnt' just to do for us, it's to contribute to the ways and processes that was laid out in the begining.

Once your task is up then it's check out time.

This is an interesting topic. It's so easy to fall into the "lookin out for #1" mentality, and in and of itself there's nothing wrong woth that. You have to do what you have to do to survive, but it shouldn't cost you so much. The Bible says " What does it benefit a man to gain the world and lose his own soul", and that's true. I've had money, lost it and got more and it never brought me peace or real contentment. Sin is a powerful thing and none of us are immune. Whenever we put greed, lust, hate or violence between ourselves and our fellow man, we lose. Human life is so devalued in some segments of society. It becomes like the metaphorical 'crab bucket' everytime one climbs to the top the others on the bottom pull them back down.
This is not 'evil' in the classical sense, but how we misunderstand the human condition and how we have so little love and respect for one another.

The fight between good and evil, right? Right.

Ok..Different people have different beliefs, we all know that. Some people would say what you believe is evil, while you might say what I believe is evil. That's a cause of a lot of conflicts, obviously.

If you are living for today, and do not believe in the after life, are you evil? No. But would you be quicker to act evil? I would argue yes. If you don't believe that your actions now have a direct connection to what's going to happen to you later, whether it be through the afterlife, or karma, you're more likely to convey evil traits, or more evil traits than those who do.

Life's not all about snap decisions, like the gun fight thing you were talking about. That's almost a lesser of two evils type of thing. You're both draw your weapons, and I happen to think maybe this isn't the right thing to do. Maybe this is evil. You don't think about it, and it's done before it started.

You fired without thinking, because your views of no afterlife mean that if you were to die tomorrow, then you're just another dead body in the ground.

Now I'm not actually saying that's what YOU believe, but the other guy in the gunfight.

There are plenty of good that wins the battle. There just happens to be more evil. Why? Because of the money, and the willingness of our society to do anything for it is a reason. The lack of a Godly home, and upbringing has a lot to do with it, and that stems from people questioning the Bible, and Holy books more and more, because they see a white Jesus, and that's not scientificaly correct. I hate when people get caught up with the white Jesus thing. Because it's faith, it's supposed to be YOUR belief. So if you want Jesus to be purple, than to you, He's purple. I got no problem with what color your God is.

Sorry I got off topic..I'll close with this:

The reason evil prevails more often than not is because while good is making sure everything is in the clear, evil is shitting on everything in the way to the top.

Evil is more get to the top. Fuck you, get out of my way.

Good is more try to get to the top. Do what I can to better my surroundings on the way to the top. If I make it make that far, cool. If not, at least I will have bettered those around me.

If it did you wouldn't know about it, you would only hear the good things that happens.

We hear all these bad things because it's a shock to our reality, meaning that it's not normal.

People seldom talk about positive things because there is no interest in it...it's the norm.

The news reports bad things because they stand out and get peoples attention.

Movies are more sinful than positive because that's what sells.

R rated sells better than pg-13 and g rated flicks

People want to be taking out of their reality

Most people are faced with positive things when they look at their life on a whole.

Some people see more negative than others, People in bad neighborhoods, in war torn countries, Africa and so on.

But that isn't the world in a whole.

When you take the world in a whole more good is being done than bad.

If negative was so prevelant

people would be gettin rob, murdered, raped all over the place.

Yes it seems like it happens alot but it's either regional or a small percentage when you take in account the whole nation.

Also remember that nothing is new on the face of the earth.

Things may seem like they are getting more fucked up, but it's maybe because of a few things

1. we are getting more mature and wise to the world so we are starting to see things different as adults. As kids you didn't pay attention to worldy affairs and the news, so everything seems brand new to you.

2. With technology the world has gotten smaller and information is passed around more rapidly. So now you know what somebody is doing in Mogadishu when hundred of years ago they didn't know what went on in the next state.

People used to get destroyed by armies 10 times worse than now.
The black plague in Europe wiped out a third of Europes population (by the way that's where the kids rhyme "ring around tha rosie" comes from) you can look that up it's crazy.

But any way Good prevails the bad only wins in their mind.
If I'm doing good and you rob me and smoke me and take my shit do you win?

My belief is that I'm prolly in Heaven and you got some work to do to get here after that.

I don't know if you believe in God or Satan exist. Or if heaven and hell exist. But I'll give you my personal belief to anser your question.

In this world evil will allways seem to prevail because Satan control this world. There are three deminsions of heaven. God reigns in the 3rd heaven. Space is the second heaven the earth's atomosphere is the 1st heaven. When God kicked Lucifer out of the 3rd heaven for disobeying his word. He fell to the 2nd heaven. And Satan has the ability to transport from heavens one and two. And he test and trys mankind on a daily basis. He is the prince of the air in the 1st and 2nd heaven and earth is in his territory. Therefore evil will seem to prevail and test mankind untill God comes back to restore everlasting life back on this planet. We were intially created to live forever untill the disobediance of man in the Garden of Eden. When man sin against God we started to die pysically and spiritually.

And I do believe in after life. For while we are in this body, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed with our heavenly body, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose and has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of God, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

I know I'm coming in to the conversation late but did you know that Nas ghostwrote most of that Will Smith album that went 10X platinum including the song 'Getting Jiggy With It'. It's true... dude got mad royalty checks from Will Smith for those lyrics. If you google Nas and Will Smith together then I'm sure some of the stories about the collabo will pop up.

As for that 'Nightmare on Elm Street' track that Big Willie did when he was still the Fresh Prince, even that was controversial at the time it came out. The Fat Boys had a song with the exact same concept come out around the same time and there was some dispute about whether Will Smith swaggerjacked the Fat Boys over that song. The two songs sound almost identical except for the flows of course. I think Will Smith's record company bought the Fat Boys a lifetime membership at the Waffle House and the beef between the crews was settled... LOL.
