We never know what is going on behind the scenes in those relationships but if Jennifer loves that dude then hopefully they can work it out. You know it may not be Jennifer that is raising the insecurities, she is a budding star now with a smash movie under her belt, and he is, well, he is still James Peyton. He may still be supportive, but she might come back from a celebrity shin dig, and he is loafing around the house with old sloppy joe on his wife beater talking about "how was the party". Some things start looking less attractive when your horizons start to broaden.

As far as Halle Berry, she is beautiful, but she does have men problems. It came out in her previous relationship with Eric Benet that she is very clingy. That is interesting because she is a woman that could probably get any dude that she wants, but she is not that type of woman. She seems to be very sentimental, and when she loves these dudes, she *really* loves them to the point that most of them end up pushing her away. On the outside looking in cats be like "shit I would stay with Halle" but it depends on your personality. I know a brother like me gets claustrophobic no matter how pretty my previous girlfriends were. Don't spoil the shit suffocating me. Love is great, but so is freedom, novelty, and spice in life. I hope this doesn't end bad for her too.

I think you got a valid point with your argument. In general I should say. Because there are some artist out there that contradict your argument.

And some acutally do things for their communities but they dont broadcast it everywhere to get their community service browny points. There are some dudes out there that are compassionate about their peoples' struggle.

And despite all of that, even with your reserves on the stars, you dont feel that a man (no matter his financial status) deserves condolences over the death of a family member as close as his mother?

Like I said before, I would even feel bad for my worst enemy if the man lost his moms. Thats real talk. It aint a whole lot out here worst than that.

i mean when shit like that happens, the politics kind of get pushed to the side.

example:

Everybody got beef with each other for various reasons here in America, but when 9/11 happened (rather real or fake), everybody united and put they differences aside. At least for a minute for that matter.

I feel that the woman might deserve a lot of things, but to shit on her death which in turn shits on her life, Im not sure if thats reasonable.

Back in college I started a chess program to show some of the students there the correlation between chess and life and all that. How they can apply the same principles to their lives.

That program still going on til this day. Ironically mostly consist of minority students and I convinced a few females to join the program as well.

everything I've seen said that there's no new evidence that they haven't had for the last 3 years. The only new information they could possibly have would be from his personal trainer, Greg Anderson, who they put in jail unless he gives info on Bonds. He hasn't given up any info thus far. Whether or not he flipped will come out within the next couple of days. The US Attorney usually puts that info out there when they bring the indictment down, so it's kind of weird that it wasn't in the original statement they gave today.

My whole thing is why is the government involved with major league baseball? They don't have bigger shit to worry about then whether or not Barry Bonds did steroids? Really? They've been investigating him for the past 4 years. You know it wasn't just one muhfucker lookin in to it, either. It was a team of people tryin to bring him down. That's a team of people that could have been investigating a murder, or working on the drug problem, or finding a way to make FEMA effective, or improve upon homeland security, or 10 trillion other things than baseball.

Yo for real, my boy out here owns a State Farm, he stayed with it and is doing well. He has owned it for at least 8 years now and is well known in the community.

That is a good field to be in if you love it and work hard to make it successful. Also it's something that you could have an office manager run once you become large enough. Meaning it will free up some time for you to do other things dig?

@BP1 and everyone else........I got real natural hair if I go to the hairdressers everyone crowds around like they never seen long natural hair before then they comment on how beautiful it is, yet they all usually hv weaves or relaxed hair and its embarassing i feel like saying "what u never seen how ur hair looked b4 u did that??" or "i aint no show" just coz i think it sgould be normal not a novelty to see .....now I personally dont care how a chick does their hair if that's wat they like but I can't stand the mentality behind having straight hair that many women hv . See too many of our women dont hv straight hair because they just like it but because it makes them look more eurocentric which in their eyes and those they seek to please is more 'beautiful'. I can say I've been blessed that I dont hv to chemically staighten my hair to get length I can go braids, afro puff :), or yea I can press my hair straight but never to permanently look like some white chick.

When I was Down Under they were beefing cus Fabolous cancelled his tour. Apparently the money wasn't right and he wanted more. I could see his side of things and their side of things. The Aussies are HUGE hip hop fans and due to their distance from North America and Europe, they don't get to see a lot of the popular artists in person. On the other hand, it takes 24 hours to get from NY to Australia. I know...I've made that trip twice. I guess it came down to a question of love for the fans or love of money.

And yes, there are plenty of BAD b*tches down there that love American black men :).

Y'all check this story out..This guy and 2 of his homeboys broke into somebody house and two of them got killed by the homeowner. The surviving burglar got charged with the murders of his two homeboys..Now I don't agree with this 100% but it is a law..Now the NAACP is getting involved and complaining that the prosecutor came down to hard on old boy...I agree but with all the issues involving innocent people and these are the cases they chose to go after..It's no wonder we are in the position we in..But if you want to read the story yourself here it go..

yo I just read that article you put up...shit is fucked up. I see where they're comin from, but at the same time I got some problems in it. No doubt those boys wouldn't have been in the house if it wasn't for their actions. But the two that were murdered were shot in the back.

You know down here in FL (don't know about GA) we got that cowboy law. I know Texas got it too, and I'm sure other states do, apparently CA does as well. But anyways, if you are on your property you're allowed to defend yourself to the extent you see fit. If someone threaten's your life, you can shoot them clean between the eyes and call the police to come clean that shit up. That shit all goes out the window if you shoot them in the back. If there's any doubt that they were attacking you, then you get arrested for murder. What better example than getting shot in the back? That means they were probably running away. Which means they were no longer threatning your well being. Also, if you shoot someone on that law, you get drug tested and a breathalizer because you're not allowed to use a gun while intoxicated.

But anyways..I see that boy in the article is getting charged with robbery, which should be it.

Pop Culture Picks Up on Dollar Decline, Reinforcing Its Weakness, but Impact May Be Small

NEW YORK (AP) -- When people start talking about rappers and supermodels shunning the dollar, you know there's a problem.
As the greenback recently hit historic lows against other major currencies, rap mogul Jay-Z released a new video in which he flashes euros, not dollars. It was also widely reported last week that one of the world's richest supermodels, Gisele Bundchen, opted to be paid in euros because of the dollar's weak outlook. Her spokeswoman has denied that the model was spurning the dollar, saying Bundchen is paid in the currency of a job's location.

Nevertheless, the euro bought an all-time record $1.4752 on Friday and the British pound has also been trading at its highest levels against the dollar since the early 1980s. The Canadian dollar, often called the "Loonie," reached parity with the dollar in September for the first time since 1976, and has climbed steadily since.

While investors, multinational businesses and travelers have been witnessing the dollar's slide for years, pop culture is new territory.

Jay-Z's "Blue Magic" video seems to have been an attempt to acknowledge the dollar's decline in an ironic way and to paint the artist as an international superstar who is smarter than those accepting greenbacks.

"It is probably a particularly good strategy as the 'image of the dollar' loses its 'currency' as an emblem of extravagance and success," Steven Tepper, associate director of Vanderbilt University's Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy, said in an e-mail. "So, you have the combination of a weakening visual icon -- the dollar -- and a growing international audience that will understand and connect to the image of the euro."

As for Gisele, she would not have been the first to favor contracts in other currencies -- others include billionaire investor Warren Buffett and PIMCO Managing Director Bill Gross.

"Any international business person that is moving assets around the world will want to do as many deals in the strongest currency available, which is certainly not the dollar these days," Tepper added.

The dollar's decline represents expectations the U.S. economy will slow relative to other economies. Recent cuts to the Federal Reserve's key interest rate have also weakened the dollar, as investors transferred funds to countries where they can earn higher returns.

A weaker dollar also makes U.S. goods cheaper and more competitive in foreign markets, tightening the trade deficit. It helps some U.S. companies with operations abroad whose profit is greater when converted into dollars. But at the same time, a cheaper dollar makes foreign goods and travel more expensive.

Although pop culture preferences are not the most important factors in the equation, some say they can have enough of an impact to support the dollar's decline.

"Obviously a supermodel changing preferences is not going to rock the markets overnight," said Axel Merk, manager of the Merk Hard Currency Fund. "This is just a symptom. But sure, yes, it does have an impact and that's going to happen more and more."

Recent hype about Jay-Z and Bundchen, U.S. travelers' tighter budgets and hordes of foreigners flocking to the U.S. for holiday shopping may have pushed Americans to the "point of recognition," at which they realize the dollar has lost its dominance. If so, the most significant effect will be felt by those who weren't aware of its rapid decline, said Kathleen Vohs, an assistant professor at the University of Minnesota who has researched the psychology of money.

While economists and market watchers can debate the economic pros and cons of a weaker dollar, its decline will whittle away at national pride, according to Vohs, making it harder for the dollar to regain its footing.

"A strong national currency is in some ways signaling the strength of the nation," she said. "You can see that when the home currency is weak, people just have this sense of inferiority in the world."

Vohs cited Canadians' one-time complex about the Loonie, which remained weaker than the dollar for 31 years. Now the tables are turned: Americans are the ones getting ribbed by their northern neighbors. But not everyone agrees on whether such an atmosphere will affect the currency's direction.

"I don't know how important it is that Jay-Z is flashing euros," said Marc Chandler, head of currency strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman.

Americans dealt with an opposite currency issue in the 1980s, as fuel-efficient vehicles from Japan gained popularity in the states and Japanese were buying up U.S. companies and real estate. A backlash ensued, with Americans blaming foreign interests for the loss of jobs and U.S. politicians demanding that Japan either strengthen the yen, or face trade sanctions.

Chandler expects a less dramatic outcome, with the dollar bouncing back next year against other major currencies as other central banks lower interest rates.

For now, online chatter indicates that some fans and commentators are treating the incidents with a humorous bent, sensing that it was only a matter of time before the dollar's decline hit BET and the fashion runways.

One observer speculated that the rapper 50 Cent might soon change his handle to 34 Pence.

Others suggested that celebrities give up on currency altogether, instead favoring gold, whose value surged to decades-high levels last week. One advised that "any real gangsta hedging against recession" should be "flashing gold chains, not dabbling in fiat currency."

But in a melancholy turn, another noted altering the hook to a famous Wu-Tang Clan tune -- to say "Euro, Euro bill, y'all" instead of "Dolla, dolla bill, y'all" -- just wouldn't have the same ring to it.

They just trying to make an example out of him and I wouldnt co-sign the goverment except I cant see why he would lie and set himself up for this. All he had to say is whats obvious to anybody that has seen a picture of bonds with pittsburgh and a picture of him with San Fran looks like 2 different people. It's obvious that he was juiced and keep on going but his ego wouldnt let him do it and now he has some ish to deal wit.
One of his chicks probably testified recently also I think she did a book or sumtin sayin she saw him injecting then Gary Shefield said something similar. This puts him in a bad place cause he said he didnt know what he was taking. Also all major league sports get special exemptions through the goverment that are worth a whole lot of money. If the goverment chose to take away those exemptions Baseball would take a huge loss so the goverment has a huge interest in how baseball is handling it policys. It wasnt banned in baseball and I also think pitchers were juiced too so You can argue they canceled each other out. I dont like bonds cause he is arrogant and his arrogance will get him roofed. He didnt have to cheat and now he will be plaqued with this forever. I dont think its a witchhunt or its cause he is black there are players of all races being accused of steroid use the difference is when questioned by a grand jury they admitted it and he denied it.

Bonds indicted, could face jail time

The day may come that the bars of a prison cell clank shut behind him, and you wonder if, even then, Barry Bonds will admit to the terrible mistake that changed his life. It isn't the error of using performance-enhancing drugs that will have finally done him in, but the fateful miscalculation of lying to the federal government about it.

That's what Bonds now stands accused of doing, indicted on four counts of perjury and one count of obstructing justice for having denied to a grand jury four years ago that he intentionally used steroids. (Granted, an indictment is not a conviction, but if you truly believe Bonds is innocent of using PEDs and then being less than truthful about it, you may be more comfortable in another area of this Web site -- the one labeled Fantasy.)

Bonds is where he is today -- facing the possibility of prison time and probability that his career is over -- not so much because of his dishonesty but because of his hubris. He was arrogant enough to believe that he could treat the Feds the way he treated the media, the fans and even the commissioner, by essentially waving his hand dismissively and telling them to get lost. But the federal authorities aren't like some obscure middle reliever, overmatched and intimidated by the great Bonds. They have an awfully good record in going up against sports figures, as Michael Vick, Pete Rose, Jamal Lewis and Darryl Strawberry, to name a few who have fought them and lost, could have told him.

Think of how differently Bonds could have played his cards. A shrewder man might have, if not come clean before the grand jury, at least asserted his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. Had Bonds taken the Fifth, he might have faced some token punishment from baseball commissioner Bud Selig, perhaps a brief suspension, that would have long since been over by now. He probably still would have broken the home run record, it's unlikely he would have been facing any legal charges, and he might even still be a San Francisco Giant, which seems to be his fondest wish. Instead, he's unemployed and likely to stay that way, so untouchable now as a free agent that he might as well be radioactive. All because he thought he was untouchable in a different way, immune to the reach of law enforcement.

Maybe his chemically-enhanced muscle fooled Bonds himself even more than the rest of us. Perhaps the nearly superhuman feats he pulled off in the batter's box made him feel that he really could do things mere mortals could not, including stare down the judicial system and make a federal investigation go away. Or maybe other factors convinced him of his invincibility. When a friend like Greg Anderson sits in jail rather than incriminate him, when thousands of Giants fans ignore all the evidence of his steroid use and treat him like a hero, it's no wonder that Bonds felt he could get away with anything, including treating federal investigators like a bunch of boobs. He made himself a target the day he denied everything under oath, essentially daring the Feds to catch him in a lie, and apparently to his surprise, they took him up on it.

Suddenly the rest of it all seems so trivial -- the issue of the asterisk, his Hall of Fame candidacy, the chances of his finding a new team. Soon, when he's fully embroiled in the legal proceedings that seem sure to come, when he's trying to avoid trading in his baseball uniform for a prison jumpsuit, Bonds may look back on all the booing, all the debates about his rightful place in baseball history and see them as the good old days. If he thinks the fans on the road were tough on him, wait until he goes a few more rounds with federal prosecutors.

It's about to get uglier for Bonds, and you wonder if he realizes that, if he understands that he is playing a whole new ballgame, with much higher stakes. Chances are, he's confident that he'll win this one, too. Bonds may be investigated, prosecuted, convicted and even incarcerated, but you are kidding yourself if you think he will ever be humbled.

@ GawgaBwoy770 MY NIGGA OUT HERE IN HOUSTON JUST A COUPLE DAYS AGO. TWO NIGGA'S WAS BREAKING INTO SOMEONE'S HOUSE A NEIGHBOR SAW THEM AND CALLED 911. HE ASKED THE 911 OPERATOR IF THEY WANTED HIM TO DO SOMETHING THEY REPEATEDLY TOLD HIM KNOW. WELL THIS REDNECK WENT OUTSIDE ANYWAY AND SHOT AND KILLED BOTH OF THE NIGGA'S THAT WAS BREAKING IN THE HOUSE. MY QUESTION IS DO YOU THINK THAT IS JUSTFIABLE OR DO YOU THINK IT IS A REDNECK THAT FINALLY FOUND AN EXCUSE TO KILL NIGGA.
