Since we droppin' that old school cartoon heat and I'm an eighties cartoon addict from back in the day here was some secret Gems that people be overlookin':

Check out the Mighty Orbots- IT was a Voltron rip-off but it was good.

ANd back in the day when Dungeon and Dragons came out there was a game on the side of it called Space Ace where this dude got hit with some wacko ray that made him occasionally go from hero to this scared geeky kid with freckles. Check for that heat right there.

And M.A.S.K. was a classic. old boy with the camaro would call up his crew and they'd all have masks with powers. His homeboy was the Asian dude that drove the big truck and had the mask where'd he'd be like, "Lifter On!" and dudes would hover up in the air.

And people can't forget Quick Draw McGraw turned into the mexican horse hero El Kabong and then there was the original dude and dog tandem in Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.

Oh and here was another G-Force Ripoff, remember Saber Rider and the Star Sherriffs? Yeah that had the black haired dude that looked like the leader from Voltron and from G-Force.

GI JOE and Transformers was the leaders of the cartoon revolution though cause them shits had seasons and they actually had people that died or got promoted. Hell Tranformers and GI JOE had movies come out on tv that people was running home from work to see cause they were that ill. Remember Snake Eyes and Don Johnson from Miami Vice was Falcon in GI JOE. And how Destro was the first gangsta black dude in a cartoon that would dethrone your ass if he caught you slippin'?

lolz well since everyone is coming out the closet with the cartoon-loving i wanna throw in ma 2 cents.

I dont think Robotech was the best, personally I grew up in the Dominican Republic but it's funny how we got all the same exact shows there too. Born in 1983 so i got to see MANY of the old school stuff as a kid (lucky me eh?)

Da Go-BOTS was dope! I remember that shit lol but lookin at it now im like 'dayum wtf is this??'

I guess i was too young to understand or maybe it was a translation problem but i didnt even kno they were called Go Bots i thought they were just another division of Transformers. Which brings me to my next point

TRANSFORMERS OWNED PERIOD! My favorite Transformers series of all time is Transformers Maxforce i dont know how many of you remember or seen that but it was the coolest shit ever, with the bracelets that human people wore to become part of the vehicle. And then Maxforce evolved into some other shit with a new hero called Star Saver which pissed me off because Im a diehard Optimus Prime fan.

I know having optimus die was a BIG shock to everyone who saw that show. lol and then they brought him back at Victory Leo to fuse with Star Saver and form the ultimate Victory Saver transformer. I had not seen a cooler fusion than that till Goku and Vegeta made Vegetto.

Oh i got 2 questions cuz it looks like ther'es a lot of knowledge here. Does anyone remember that one cartoon with the Cat that knew Karate? I forgot the name but i used to Looooooooooooooooove that, I learned to fight from watchin dat shit lol haha dat shit would make me mad amped.

And there was this other cartoon with a guy that was a Sheriff or something and he used to bust a lot a of heads i forgot the name but it was really dope think it was sheriff star or sum shit like that i dont remember.

Last but not least, one of my favorites which i could never remember the name to and it KILLS me cuz i wanna watch it again is the one with some guy who had a motorcycle and he'd jump up and turn into a ball and sum bitch in a huge plane would send out a robot body, while the guy would transform from a ball into a robot head and he used to kick ass.

Robotech was defintiely ill... i used to watch the shit in japanese with the subtitles before they came here...

but hell yeah.. Starblazers ("Space Crusier Yamato" in Japan) was the shit. An old Earth battleship retrofitted to fly in space with the huge ass "wave motion gun"

that shit was crazy.....

But DBZ and GT (japan version)....

Robotech was the LiK! Come to think of it, Robotech was actually split into three different segments, all completely engrossing. That Cartoon was digital crack, it was as serious as a soap opera. You couldn't miss a day. I was watchin' it on Channel 28 (In Tampa) back in 1985-86.

BTW...I'm not sure if someone mentioned this, but Tobey Macguire is remaking the Robotech series as an action movie. If he does the cartoon justice, it could be a good look.

1 million cool points for mentioning Jem! I still love that cartoon and have some of the songs d/led on my comp (such a nerd fan...I admit it). Half the other stuff mentioned I have no clue what you're talking about, but I grew up in a house where we didn't really have too much TV access till late 80s, so bear with me...lol...USA Network Cartoon Express was my sustenance in the summer time, Grouchy Greg. (that and their No Class Movie Days...musta watched Tremors a million times) I loved the fact that they would switch up the cartoons after a period of time so it wasn't always the same thing. And why are they trying to make movies out of every damn cartoon now? Some things are better left remembered the way they were.
