Yung Joc Issues Statement On Gun Charge

Yung Joc, who was arrested earlier this week for taking a loaded gun to an airport, issued a statement today saying he respects the law and is looking forward to resolving the charge against him.

"I have the utmost respect for the laws of this country and would never deliberately commit an act that would jeopardize my freedom, my family, or my career. I've worked very hard to achieve my goals, and it's unfortunate that this current situation has garnered more attention than the many donations I've made and the charitable work I've done with various organizations."

Yung Joc is due back in court on January 25. The felony charge he faces carries a possible sentence of up to 18 months.

Despite a strong debut, Mary J. Blige's new album "Growing Pains" was unable to bump Josh Groban's Christmas album "Noel" from the #1 spot. "Noel" sold another 757,000 copies this week while "Growing Pains" moved a more than respectable 629,000.

Alicia Keys had a great holiday week as well, seeing her sales jump up 62% from last week, selling another 473,800 units. Keys has hit the double platinum mark in just six weeks.

Jaheim's "The Making Of A Man" landed the #11 spot with 179,000 sold, while Lupe Fiasco came in just behind at #15, with "The Cool" selling 143,000 (his first album, Food & Liquor debuted at #8 last year selling more than 80,000 units.)
So far no reports of Fiasco protesting the numbers. Maybe Chingy should do the protesting this week, his album "Hate It Or Love It" debuted at #84 with 31,500 sold.

While Omarion stood by Chris Stokes this week, his album with Bow Wow "Face Off" experienced a 22% drop off, falling from #11 to #29 with 83,000 more units sold.

Overall sales were down 18% from the same week last year.

I was extremely saddened and disturbed by that news. I knew they were gonna kill her, it was only a matter of time. They could blame it on any extremist group not wanting a female in power in a muslim state, but we all know it was Mushariff. It just pisses me the fuck off that we are in a unilateral, un provoked war that we should have never started. We didnt even finish in Afganistan and now thats fucked the fuck up.
On top of it all, Pakistan has nukes. The threat of a coup or the crumbling of that regime is a HUGE threat, if not THE BIGGEST threat to the world as a whole. When we should be in Pakistan helping promote democracy where the actually WANT it and finding Bin Laden and cleaning our shit up in Afganistan, we're in Iraq because of Bush's PERSONAL vendetta and greed.
The UN and EU need to get on this shit quick, cause you know India isnt havin that shit and all we've done is destablize that region even more. We are over extended, we have more bases abroad then at home and we are misapproprating our troops, Ms. Bhutto's slaying is extremely concerning to me, and its going to be a bigger issue in the election than Iraq, IMO. I know we cant just cut n run from Iraq and let Iran run the shit thru a dummy government, but we need to have more boots on the ground in Afganistan and Pakistan and all US and Foreign aid to Pakistan needs to be cut off until Mushariff can show us he's actually doing something about the terrorism problem, and trust Pakistan is the front line in the war we're SUPPOSED to be fighting, the war on TERROR.
