Honestly if he can do the job and what not I got his back hes got a good eye for change, but no experience that can be good for him and bad it all depends how he puts himself out there in the next year! After the December 29th concert at the Premiere Entertainment Center, Lil Wayne was supposed to attend the official afterparty at the Congress Ballroom in Chicago. This afterparty was being thrown by Ming's Dynasty Records.

This appearance was a makeup appearance for an afterparty Lil Wayne was paid for and missed in August after the Chicago Summer Jam given by Ming's Dynasty Records and The Ark Entertainment.

Lil Wayne spent hours backstage getting high and went on stage too late to attend the afterparty. An infuriated group of men associated with Ming's Dynasty Records and The Ark Entertainment stormed Lil Wayne's hotel room and assaulted Lil Wayne's camp including security and forced Lil Wayne's Manager Cortez to come up with $15,000 cash in order to leave Chicago standing up.

The cash was paid on the spot and Lil Wayne and his camp was allowed to leave Chicago without further harm. If Lil Wayne's camp was smart they would have known not to try to cheat this record label owned by Chicago Ganster Big Ming 6'7'' 320 pounds (Chicago's version of Suge Knight) and it's main artist Skee Franchise who is a notorious street thugs from Englewood, Chicago's roughest area.

Lil Wayne was also hit with a bottle while on stage at the concert. That incident appears to be unrelated to the hotel assault.

I was born on the Navajo reservation, raised in Topeka ks then moved back to arizona 7 years later and moved to phoenix I been in Phx since 8 years old I lived in all places in Phoenix like maryville which is the hood, then the south side of phoenix for awhile untill stufff got outta control was worst than maryville, now I reside in west Phx going out towards Cali. Other surrounding places like Tucson I lived their for a min its like a city full of drugs to much trafficking through there. Wad up AHH!!! I usually don't comment, but your posts keep me entertained at work lol But about Obama and his religion. The media has actually tried to insinuate that he went to a radical Muslim school, but it was discovered to be inaccurate so they apologized and deaded it. Considering he was living in Indonesia, which I believe is something like 80-80% Muslim it wouldn't surprise me if they thought Islam in his school. But I believe he is Christian, but to me his understanding of Islam is an asset. Look at it this way, the war and the divide btw the west and the Muslim nations are mostly due to misunderstanding of the two faiths. So if there is a prez who can understand and respect both sides it will open a dialogue that is unprecedented and the possibilities to bridge the gap would be endless.

On another point I like Obama because he wasn't rich on the come up!! I mean most of the other candidates (at least the serious contenders) I believe were always well off so they can't REALLY relate to the struggle. This is just my opinion so take it how you will as long as you take it!!!

I checked out the Obama gets robbed shit on mediatakeout and I meant to post it yesterday..I left a link on here a few weeks back for the documentary "Hacking Democracy" and the scandal surrounding the elections and Diebold..If you didn't check it out you need too and if you need the link again just let me know..Once you see that video it puts a new perspective on the voting situation..Once you watch the documentary I hope none of you leave with the thought that our vote don't count because that's what they are counting on by pulling this scandalous shit..Instead look at the situation and do what we need to do to get this fraud ass company replaced..It's too many instances where they have mislead us or fucked us out of our votes..Stand for something people..It makes no sense to vote if your vote ain't going to count..So, let's go about fixing this problem and letting them know we do know what's going on pertaining to this shit.

The disease itself does not discriminate or target people based on their sexual preference. The stigma that is attached to the men that want to be fags is really a social issue as well.

I posted on here the other night about how I heard this discussion on the radio on a show called "Late night love talk" or something like that on WPGC 95.5 here in DC. The dudes on there were gay, but some of them had these strange notions that they were "bisexual" or whatever. Well one of the sisters was like just be honest about your sexual preference so that they can have a choice in the decision. One of the gay dudes was like "well, it's hard to tell a woman you like women, but you like to get a lick on the side", and all the fag dudes started laughing and the women was quiet. Now one of the dudes was like he is flamboyantly gay, and you could hear it in his voice, BUT he claimed WOMEN (STRAIGHT WOMEN) approach him all the time, and he's fucked straight women and they knew he was gay. See that is the side of the story that these chics are not telling.

Now this is what really gets me and I've been saying this shit since I came back down to DC in like 02-03. The DJ cat that was moderating the discussion asked everyone where they were from, EVERY single dude was from out of state, they moved into the DC area. Every one of the women was from out of state, or neighboring suburbs in MD and VA with the exception of one woman that was born and raised here in DC.

Now DC has always had a gay population, in the Dupont Circle area, but they were all upscale wealthy WHITE PEOPLE. There were black fags but never like it is now. When I was coming up there was no question as to your sexual orientation. We actually still fought with our goddamn fists. All these little faggot muthafuckers running around so quick to shoot are the same little niggaz going behind the gates on that boy loving shit. I hear stories from my niggaz in jail man it's not a game a lot of these niggaz are on some homo-thug shit.

I been busy today got two papers due and working but Im gonna chime in on this...

I dont think its an individual person alone its the media and TV seems to me that they will show a show with black folks acting a ass faster then they will a real one!

I mean New York she is a fool and the fact that her show had so many viewers is crazy I mean I am sure many were black as they were white so the question is whyis it watched.

Before I went to sleep last night, I checked youtube and watched his bit on weed where he was rockin the green velour.

Yo, if you a film buff, or a an urban film buff, or an oldhead or somebody who follows some of the classics then you might remember the Cosby/Potier trilogy:

A Piece of the Action

Well FIRST SUNDAY is the new version of this.

Ice Cube is the straight man with undeveloped potential and his homeboy Tracy Morgan is his mischevious partner.

Beautiful black people all over this picture.

However, I do come into this film with baggage.
I like hard "R" comedies.

And I woulda loved if this was more raw.
But the execution on a light concept was directly on target.

The concept: Ice Cube's character has a bad ghetto chick the black girl from Scurry Movie (I love her) and a son that's bout to move to hotlanta if she 'ont get the money to renew the lease on her hurh shop.

So boom Ice Cube's like what do I do?

Tracy's character -- "LeeJohn" who has two names cuz his mom "ain't no who the fahver was" -- comes up with the idea to rob the neighborhood church.

So they do.

Or at least they try.

Er'rybody's favourite uncle tom is in here Michael Beach and he stealin from the church.

Er'rybody's favourite father figure is in here Chia McBride and he the head of the church.

And you got a lotta classic black bit players sprinkled throughout.

So boom, leading up to breaking in the church and about 15 minutes after they break in it is the Tracy Morgan show with Ice Cube guest starring.

But after they get in the church and the choir comes back to practice unnannounced, this film turns into the Katt Williams show.

Katt Williams plays the choir director.

I may or may not have seen him somewhere here or there but after last night, I'm a be checkin for him.

This dude is funny as shit.

Every second.

Every line.

This dude will have you dying.
Even in the outtakes when credits roll at the end.

I gotta feeling he gon' blow after this.

But so any way, the flick is filled with lots of heart and all that bullshit, so this was a rough cut and they may shorten some of the dramatic scenes but all in all it was a nice little comedy for a PG-13 rating.

So I'm there and I ain't been around this many black people since I left the East Coast.

So I was happy.

And I'm just out there bussin' it up. talking to people listening to conversations and shit.

Fuckin with people sittin next to me and so on.

By the way the screening was filled to the gills and ain't nuntin jump off.

Muvafuckas just laughin and havin a good time.

So this crazy thought was goin through my head as I'm listenin' and vibin' with everybody and I'm like

"Hol' up. Is L.A. country?"

I mean like are black people from L.A. country?

When people from the Northeast travel around the nation there's this thing that you pick up when you meet people.

People from the Northeast have a self-imposed pressure to be trendsetters.

So when we meet someone we size up their fashion sense. Peep thier footwear first.

See if they have good decision making skills as it applies to picking out footwear.

Be it sneakers.

Gucci loafers.

Tims or whatever.

But that shit is an art.
But it also tells a person's lifestory.

And we also check something far more shallow:
We use our instincts to try and detect if a muvafucka is concerned about his or her "cool factor". Like if a person is cognizant about being cool and in control.

Now country people don't give a fuck about none of that shit.

And when northeasters sniff that out then they are like "ohhh okay, this a country muvafucka right here."

Like a couple of those tacky hairstyles.

Then of course you got the drawl or the accents.

Black people from L.A. got heavy accents.

Well I always find myself trying to defend middle America or anywhere but L.A. and N.Y.

Because see this is where the studios and networks are.

And here is where we feed popularity to the rest of the nation.

Now if you notice, all the shows and films always portray more or less coastal and not middle american characters.

Never "country" characters.

In fact, they make fun of county characters. They are always the heel.

Like they are backwoods rednecks or something.

So I've been going to bat for just and even portrayals.
Because I feel that coastal characters don't accurately reflect the makeup of this country.

It only reflects the viewpoint of the creators of the content because we are usually coastal people.

But in reality?

This is really a "country" nation.

It's not just L.A. and N.Y.

It's wyoming.
idaho.
montana.
missouri.
wisconsin.
and of course memphis tennesee.

So I'm watching all the videos and I'm listening to some because all weren't videos.

And I started thinking about my philosphy for features and TV about how people try to ostracize the country folk when in actuality the Unites States IS country.

So I was saying to myself maybe black people are a country-ass people.

Because, the midwest, the west, the south even western PA like pittsburgh all that's considered "country".

And I refrained from commenting on the whole TI thing but the week before last, when they had lil wayne's mugshot up, I felt a lil sinking feeling in my stomach.

Cuz even tho I 'ont fuck with his entertainment product I 'ont wanna see him knocked.

I say this all the time: I'll pop shit every day all day about a down south entertainer but if I'm driving down the turnpike or 95 and the cops is whoppin on lil john's or lil wayne's ass then I'm jumpin out and we rumblin the punk police to the death.

Our squabbles about tastes in music are just that.

Squabbles.

Saturday morning backyard slapbox bouts.

But even tho I don't fuck with TI, I just don't wanna see the misfortune of one of my own.

So anyway after listening to the Eightball and MJG, I started reevaluating the market for this product.

Assuming this is a "country" nation.
And the majority of my people here probably are "country".

I don't know what to make of my reevaluation just yet.

I know one thing, it really made the core classic hip hop fans seem extremely exclusive.

Like a select few.

Of course it made me appreciate the foundation that was laid even more.

But I'm grappling with the new language I'm learnin.

That's probably the key right there.

These is my people.
And this is their langauge.

It's funny cuz it's like I'm learnin something extremely fundamental here.

So I noticed that the sound on the tracks you sent me are on some laid back either sampled or replayed curtis mayfield shit.

I bet y'all probably call that "pimp" shit, right?
I can hear it now.

Not saying I IDed any samples as Curtis Mayfield. But you know what I'm talking about as far as the tempo is concerned?

Slow and mellow.

I really appreciated that them dudes sprinkled messages throughout thier rhymes.

And they had the chopped lexus coupes.

But the sound was completely different.
Mad laid back.

Yo, is that the south's flavor?

I like those brothers. I can feel what they are saying, but it's not like the sound that was laid down from up north when hip hop was originated.

But the shit wasn't irritating on some why the fuck he send me this?

It just was like delving into a new genre of music.

But it made me rethink some things that I ain't quite worked out yet.

people are loving this low brow product that we're turning out.

Lil Wayne reportedly held hostage in Chicago for $15,000

Owing money seems to be a developing trend for Lil Wayne.

Mediatakout.com is reporting that after performing in Chicago on December 29, Wayne was supposed to attend the official after-party at the Congress Ballroom in Chicago. The party was being thrown by Ming's Dynasty Records.

The report claims the Wayne spent too much time getting high backstage at the show and went on too late, thus missing the after-party.

The report then reads:

"An infuriated group of men associated with Ming's Dynasty Records and The Ark Entertainment stormed Lil Wayne's hotel room and assaulted Lil Wayne's camp including security and forced Lil Wayne's Manager Cortez to come up with $15,000 cash in order to leave Chicago standing up."

Wayne and his camp reportedly came up with the cash and were able to get out of town unharmed.

Because I keep telling you the guys down here don't care what their music is labeled..Was 2 Live Crew hip hop? No, but people didn't complain about them back then because the South didn't control the market..They did major numbers with club/booty shake music in the 80's..

As far as the core hip hop fans being exclusive..The only reason everyone got so much attention in NY because they were the major market..When the West came in and the South dug what they were saying a little more and started supporting more of their artists because of the superiority complex of the North that brought about hate for their artists..I never heard any of the West Coast artists hollaring that they were hip hop either..It's no different with the South being in charge..I'll give credit where it's due and say 50's a smart ass guy..He could've came just like every other nigga from NY but he understood where the majority of the fans came from..So, when he said he switched his style up to watch the money pile up..It's a reason Jay and Twista slowed down their delivery as well..

People from other places have to understand we can appreciate their music and ours at the same time..It don't have to be one or another..We aren't going to stop listening to our home grown artists that have always been here because people say it's not hip hop..So what!! I've never heard a hip hop song at a strip joint down here..If everybody make socially conscious rap then hip hop would be dull as hell..The problem comes into play when the kids don't have that balance and appreciation for the artists that paved the way..Every time you hear a rapper from the South talking about their influences it's always someone from the East Coast included..That don't mean that they should strive to be like them..I hear some of these corny ass niggaz down here trying to sound like they from up there and i'd rather listen to Gucci or Shawty Lo than that bullshit..Like HP said it's a time and place for all music..The problem comes into play when the artists that music for hip hop clubs, strip clubs and other shit like that get put to the forefront..It's not those artists fault that that's happening..It's the consumers..

What you are doing is placing blame on the artists because the consumers like them.. Place blame on the consumers for not supporting real hip hop artists..If SB and a lot of the others following wasn't as large there wouldn't be a need to discuss them, right or wrong? It's always been as you would put it supbar music down here and it will continue to be here after the spotlight as diminished..Will you still discuss them as you are now? I highly doubt it..The way you are looking at this issue and the one with white people won't bring about change..That's what i'm really trying to get you to understand ..It's good to discuss these things but let's try and find a solution rather than just discussing the problem just to do it..That's no different than niggaz standing on a street corner discussing politics..It's always the white man this, the white man that..Well my question to guys like that and you is what's the solutions?
