Okay here is my rant for the day and why im mad... INCOME TAX!!!!!

Okay the goverment is keeping about 90 percent of the taxes I paid my return is garbage.. You may ask why does this piss me off cause it does.... I mean they say Im in a higher tax bracket since i make over a certain amoutn a year but that money is enough to live where I live in this area.... Not only that Im a single mother who pays 800 a month in daycare... so yeah i bust my ass and I have the right to be pissed. So my hard earned money goes to what .... some lazy ass collecting welfare... Im not talkin about people thatuse the system to get on their feet... Imtalkin bout the lazy asses that just lean on the system cause they can and the goverment lets them... Im talkin bout the broads that use the money they get to get they nails done and buy they weed and what not ( i know this goes down caue I have friends that do it) I know its not all but my issue is why should my money go to shit like that...

Now if i could pic where my shit goes Id be good maybe to help a homeless veteran get on his feet, to get some old woman the medicine she needs but cant afford, to send the troops the gear they need so they dont have to get scrap metal togethor and make bootleg up armor... or to a lil kid to get school clothed ans supplies cause his mama doesnt give a damn! anyway thats my point... Im pissed....and i have the right to be......

at the same time, i think that it is easy to project our

anger by believing that lazy welfare broads really benefit.

i think that is an image and tool that the government uses to

divide people.

i know that 10-12 years ago, the government was using less

than 1% of all taxes to fund welfare.

i highly doubt that that percentage went up.

so the question becomes where does the majority of our money

really go?

cause they are obviously scapegoating welfare recipients imo.

they have been doing that forever.

not that the lazy ass welfare momma don't exist cause they do,

across the spectrum

from ignorant young broads like u described to the crack head

mommas.

but w/ all the welfare reform that took place under Clinton has

regulated a lot of all that.

so i just don't believe they are the big issue at hand.

but that's an acceptable facade.

i think what it is really all about is the widening of the gap

between the elite and the underclass.

they've been saying for years that soon a middle class would be

non-existent,

and that appears to be actually coming to fruition from what i

can see.

Yea if you got any aid thats not free money, meaning if you get fed aid thats a loan or something you can still write that off, because you have to pay that money back...the only financial aid you cant write off is grants, scholorships or your G.I Bill...I had the G.I. Yo if you own your crib you can write off the property tax and the interest you pay on your mortgage...when it comes to school it all depends on what aid your getting, but any out of the pocket money you pay for school is a write...of course they have a limits, but still if your over the limit atleast you get the max...when you go get your taxes done ask about the following credits...the hope credit, the lifetime learning credit and the tutuion and fees deduction.

I've always had the life time learning credit...its all in how you wanna do it...

"American Gangster" based on the life of drug lord Frank Lucas

Several events in film, including shipping heroin in coffins, probably not true

Last week, DEA agents who investigated Lucas filed suit, claiming defamation

NEW YORK (AP) -- In "American Gangster," which is "based on a true story," Denzel Washington -- as the '70s drug lord Frank Lucas -- confidently marches deep into the jungles of Southeast Asia as the Vietnam War rages in the background. He is looking for drugs.

Later, we see police break open the caskets of Vietnam casualties flown back to the States, searching for the heroin Lucas has audaciously hidden beneath the corpses. Then Lucas is shown as the dope dealer-turned-reformer as he exposes legions of corrupt police.

Except none of the above ever happened.

The Harlem kingpin's infamous "cadaver connection" -- a pipeline of top-grade Southeast Asia heroin smuggled in GI caskets -- has always been at the center of his considerable and enduring mythology.

But it turns out that the casket story is just that -- a myth. And after revelations that "American Gangster" fabricates Lucas' role in rooting out police corruption, the film's credibility could be damaged. "Gangster" earned just two Oscar nominations Tuesday -- one for supporting actress Ruby Dee and one for art direction; actors Washington and Russell Crowe and director Ridley Scott were shut out.

"Everybody always thought the caskets (carried heroin) -- even I thought it," says federal Judge Sterling Johnson Jr., who as special narcotics prosecutor was instrumental in Lucas' arrest and trial.

"The picture is 1 percent reality and 99 percent Hollywood," Johnson says. "Frank was illiterate, Frank was vicious, violent. Frank was everything Denzel Washington was not."

On Wednesday, several former Drug Enforcement Agents who investigated Lucas filed a class-action lawsuit against General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal claiming the film defames them and grossly misrepresents the truth. Produced by Brian Grazer and directed by Ridley Scott, the film has grossed more than $129 million at the box office and won largely positive reviews.

Johnson says Lucas wasn't capable of securing a drug connection from the infamous Golden Triangle. Instead, it was Leslie "Ike" Atkinson, a sometimes supplier for Lucas, who was recently released from prison after serving more than 30 years.

Atkinson has said he shipped drugs in furniture, not caskets.

"It is a total lie that's fueled by Frank Lucas for personal gain," Atkinson said by e-mail. "I never had anything to do with transporting heroin in coffins or cadavers."

Author and journalist Ron Chepesiuk is currently working on a biography of Atkinson and co-authored "Superfly: The True, Untold Story of Frank Lucas, American Gangster." He blames the media for allowing Lucas' story to go unchecked.

Chepesiuk says his research found no evidence or court records to substantiate the cadaver connection, "the biggest hoax in the history of the international drug trade."

The story of Lucas' supposed connection first flourished on the streets, and was widely spread in a 2000 New York magazine article by Mark Jacobson. His article was the basis for the movie.

"The magazine piece is a presentation of this guy's story and that's what he had to say," Jacobson says.

Even Lucas, now 77 and living in New Jersey, now claims he only smuggled heroin through coffins once. "I had a false-bottom coffin made."

New Jersey police detective Richard "Richie" Roberts (played by Russell Crowe) is elevated to Lucas' foil in the film. Though Roberts, now a defense attorney, did play a role in the prosecution of Lucas, on screen he's a composite of many detectives and prosecutors.

"They wanted a white boy," Lucas says of Roberts character.

Lucas is shown to turn informant, specifically against corrupt police officers. A legend at the end of the movie claims three-fourths of New York's Drug Enforcement Agency were convicted thanks to Lucas' cooperation.

On Wednesday, former DEA agents Jack Toal, Gregory Korniloff and Louis Diaz filed their lawsuit, represented by Dominic Amorosa, a prosecutor in the 1975 federal case against Lucas.

"(Lucas) was my informant for years," Toal says. "He never mentioned any crooked DEA agent or cop."

A DEA spokesman in Washington, Garrison Courtney, confirmed that no agents were ever charged with wrongdoing in the case.

A Universal Pictures spokesman, Michael Moses, has said the lawsuit is "entirely without merit" and that the film "does not defame these or any federal agents."

The day before the lawsuit was filed, a spokesperson for the studio gave a statement to The Associated Press stating: "Universal Pictures has every confidence that the material facts are conveyed truthfully in 'American Gangster,' from abundant research with direct sources and from the public record."

Grazer, who bought the story and shepherded the project for years, declined to be interviewed for this article.

Lucas can only recall informing on a police detective he called "Babyface," but denies informing on other gangsters or drug dealers: "I never testified on nobody," he said.

Prosecutors involved in the case have contradicted that. Roberts, who prosecuted the superseding indictment in New Jersey, says of Lucas' insistence that he didn't inform on fellow dealers: "Absolutely not. He gets mad every time I tell the truth." (Roberts and Lucas later became friends and Roberts is even the godfather to Lucas' youngest son.)

Toal says those Lucas informed on were "unanimously" criminals: "He never talked about a dirty cop or a DEA agent. He never gave up anybody like that. It was 100 percent drug dealers."

Lucas's sentence of 70 years was reduced to five years after his informant work. Once released, Lucas was quickly arrested again for drug dealing, but on a much smaller scale. He served seven more years and got out of jail in 1991.

Lucas remains full of vitriol for the Special Investigations Unit, which he calls "nothing but a shakedown." Many SIU detectives were indicted in the '70s following an investigation in which NYPD detective Bob Leuci went undercover among his colleagues, though there's no evidence that Lucas' collaboration had anything to do with the charges.

Leuci's story has already hit the big screen. Robert Daley's book about Leuci, "Prince of the City," was turned into the 1981 film of the same title by Sidney Lumet.

But Lucas' legend has only grown since "American Gangster" was released, leaving some -- like Roberts -- to wonder if they've helped glorify a villain.

"I'm glad this over," Roberts says. "I'll tell you that."

suppose we discovered, proved and decoded all of the old myticism and religious practices.

and we cited them in a our eye opening new documentary.

we wouldn't really be onto something new.
we woulda just gathered it and documented it in one place.

the information that was introduced by the guys in the zeitgeist film is not something new.

I'm just grateful to them for putting it there in one place for everybody.

What child hood games do you remember and loved playing the most?

1.Dodge ball-we called ours "warball" cause we put on group on one side and the other on the opposite side.

Then we got as many balls as we could and slung them suckas across to hit someone on the other side.

Balls were coming from every where, I got lifted off my feet wit one once lol.

2. we had this game when we were younger called "Iceman"

If someone had their back to you, you would run as fast as you could and jumped in the air and "bootybusted" them in the back.

The goal was to try to make it up to the neck.

3. This was I a game I learned when I moved to the West Coast.

B.B. Britches?.... I don't know if I spelled that right.

The way it worked, was, if someone said any word that started wit a "B" in it you got bombed on till you said "B.B. Britches".

This is possibe especially for sicilians because of its close proximity to northern Africa, but also because in or around 800 AD Sicily was invaded or attemtped to be invaded my Arabic, or because of the obvious trade between countires.. abdul, my mom was in the baltimore panther party with afeni back in the day.

so I got blessed/cursed with three names like tupac amaru shakur.

when i was a kid I hated when they called my name at attendance. I wanted a "normal" name.

I just used to reduce my name to the first letter of my whole name.

of course now I recognize it was a blessing that I have something on my birth certificate independent of the slavemaster's branding.

That's beautiful Doc! I wish I would've been blessed with a meaningful moniker but instead i'm a Jr. and not even a true Jr. at that. I wasn't even the 1st or second born son and i'm considered a Jr. You wanna know an even better reason for me changin my name? My current legal slavemaster name was given to my father when he was taken in by the people next door to him. My grandfather had long since left my dad and his 4 brothers and sister with my grandmother and she then left them literally. I mean she walked away from her little farmhouse in Pine Bluff Arkansas where her children were and never came back! The cat next door was a close family friend and took my father and his siblings in. They were given his last name and the rest is history. I don't even remember what my original slavemaster name is. Ain't that a bitch? Brothas usually have their true name and their slavemaster name, but I have my true name, my slavemaster name, and my true slavemaster name which is unknown to me. I feel what you are trying to say SAC but I was just trying to point out that a symbol can be mis-used to represent anything. What the Nazi did with the swastika they did with teh Celtic Cross too. That is actually their (and white supremecists) symbol the cross with the swastika. The same way ppl didn't look at the cross as being "just" a nazi symbol you can't do that with the swastika. There are temples in Asia and churches in Africa with swastikas one them and they are hundreds of years old.
