Honestly, I dont care for any of the remaining candidates on either side of the aisle. Obama and Hillary both are way too soft on ILLEGAL ALIENS and they are not fooling me on their health care reform plans. Obama doesnt have much global experience to speak on. He appears to soft on national defense and I dont trust him to deal with threats such as Iran, Russia, Syria, etc...

On the GOP side, I could support McCain but he too is soft on the illegals and really isn't what a conservative should be, but he does seem to be the toughest on dealing with the terrorist threat and he does have tons of first hand experience with war...I really dont know enough about Romney yet to form any good opinion.

As for Super Tuesday, my state doesnt hold a primary vote.

I agree, war and terrorism will most likely go on until the final days of the earth, but it doesnt mean it shouldn't be fought. Drug use has been and will be going on forever, but it doesnt mean the government should wage war on drugs. Sorry for the cliche, but you cannot ever stop the terrorist (they only have to be right 1 time) you just have to try to contain it as best you can.

To answer your question. Are we moving in the right direction? I honestly have no idea, but it beats the alternative of sitting on the defensive and not actively hunting out terrorist regimes. I think that we would be doing more harm if the folks at the Pentagon looked over some reports and said, "Yep these guys are terrorist," "Yep, this country has made threats against the U.S." and did nothing about it. In other words, if they view a nation or militia as being a threat, they need to act on it instead of sitting back and trying to talk things out.

Having a backfield of Brown/Barber would be a nice asset to have, but it's not a necessity.

The draft picks would be nice, but they're both mid/late first rounders

Having a backfield of Brown/Barber would be a nice asset to have, but it's not a necessity.

The draft picks would be nice, but they're both mid/late first rounders

This draft class isn't all that deep, so having 2 picks later in the first round, I dont think, is worth giving up the #1 overall

I agree! But I think that it's going to come down to the combine to see whether or not Miami bites on that deal. If they think they can get a few late round steals they'll bite, if not they'll pass. Dorsey is a beast! But I like the two back system though! Plus they still have Ricky "The Weedman" Williams. So they have to see what he's about. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A spokesman for the state agency that oversees the welfare of children was arrested Friday on charges that he solicited minors, at least one of whom may have been in state custody, to create pornography, authorities said.

Al Zimmerman of the state Department of Children & Families has been fired, agency officials said. The 40-year-old was charged with eight counts of using a child in a sexual performance and faces up to 120 years in prison if convicted of all charges.

"It's totally deplorable. There's absolutely no excuse for this. There were absolutely no indicators," Bob Butterworth, secretary of the department, told The Associated Press. "As all of us in the DCF, we were shocked and we were horrified."

A telephone message left on Zimmerman's cell phone was not immediately returned.

Authorities say Zimmerman solicited at least two victims in Tampa between ages 16 and 17 to create child pornography. The agency is fairly certain that one has been or is in state custody, Butterworth said.

Zimmerman was arrested in Lakeland, where his parents live, and booked in the Hillsborough County jail. Bond had not been set.

"Every photograph, every image, every lasting impression of a child's sexual abuse perpetuates this horrible crime over and over again," Attorney General Bill McCollum said in a statement.

The agency has been under criticism since 2002, when it was discovered that a Miami investigator had lied about visiting the foster parents of a 4-year-old girl. The girl had actually been missing for a year and has never been found.

More recently, former Secretary Lucy Hadi resigned after being found in contempt of court for not moving inmates to state hospitals if they were incompetent to stand trial. Before that, Jerry Regier left the position after an investigation showed he accepted favors from contractors. Regier had replaced Kathleen Kearney, who resigned after the 4-year-old disappeared.

Last year, a child protection task force criticized agency officials because a 2-year-old foster girl was missing for four months before police began searching for her.

On Feb. 2, 2002, one day before the Patriots' Super Bowl game against heavily favored St. Louis in New Orleans, the Patriots visited the Superdome for their final walkthrough. After completing the walkthrough, they had their team picture taken and the Rams then took the field. According to the source, a member of the team's video staff stayed behind after attending the team's walkthrough and filmed St. Louis' walkthrough. At no point was he asked to identify himself or produce a press pass, the source said. The cameraman rode the media shuttle back to the hotel with news photographers when the Rams walkthrough was completed, the source said.

Yeah it's about that cat. I agree to a point about the "every team cheats." Cuz every team is trying to gain an advantage. But as far as taping other teams practices and hand signs that's overboard. If a player on the field looks at a coach on the other sideline sees or hears the play called, and remembers it the next time and alerts his team that's all in the game, in my opinion.

Remember my Superbowl prediction at the beginning of the playoffs? I said I think based off talent the Packers would be there against the Patriots but I said based off the NFL and it's recent history I thought the Giants would probably be there...Then I went on to say if the Giants played the Patriots I thought they'd win because I thought the Patriots losing plus Eli getting a championship the year after his brother would make for a bigger story...

I want to tip my hat to them boyz because they won it on their own and the officiating wasn't a factor...I think Eli is going to be a problem now that's he's won him one..I can see him using this momentum to push him throughout the rest of his career...Their offensive line was good down the stretch and their defense was great..

I think if Nas would've kept all them QB niggaz together and formed his own record label for them the NY rap scene would be totally different..I know about Ill Will records but he haven't done shit with it but put out his albums for the most part..That's why I say indirectly he's part of the reason that hip hop is dead..Just think about the talent that came out of QB around that time..i.e. Mobb Deep, CNN, Nas, AZ, Nature and Cormeaga just to name a few..I know he co-signed a lot of them catz but I don't think he rode with them the way he should've and that's why the majority of them don't fuck with him..His actions contradict his words because he's always promoting unity but I don't see him trying to unite anyone himself..

Just think about this..When Wu-Tang came out they brought out their whole squad..It was Wu this and Wu that..All kinds of niggaz was affiliated with them because they were a family...Then you have A Tribe Called Quest and the Dungeon Family..To start a movement it takes the will to do so and no egos..That's the reason most black groups in any genre of music don't last long...We can't work with each other without letting ego's and jealousy get in the way..The bigger picture and movement is not as important as individual accolades and wealth..If it ain't the ego's it's a nigga taking advantage of people they call brothas because of their lack of business sense..Instead of teaching most of them will cheat the others..i.e. Eazy-E, RZA, Baby and Puffy just to name a few..

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The September 11 commission's executive director had closer ties with the White House than publicly disclosed and tried to influence the final report in ways that the staff often perceived as limiting the Bush administration's responsibility, a new book says.

Philip Zelikow, a friend of then-national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, spoke with her several times during the 20-month investigation.

He also exchanged frequent calls with the White House, including at least four from Karl Rove, Bush's chief political adviser at the time.

The commission's executive director once tried to push through wording in a draft report that suggested a greater tie between al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden and Iraq, in line with White House claims but not with the commission staff's viewpoint, according to Philip Shenon's "The Commission: The Uncensored History of the 9/11 Investigation."

Shenon, a New York Times reporter, says Zelikow sought to intimidate staff to avoid damaging findings for President Bush -- who at the time was running for re-election -- and Rice. Zelikow and Rice had written a book together in 1995 and he would later work for her after the commission finished its job and she became secretary of state in 2005.

The Associated Press obtained an audio version of Shenon's book, which is to go on sale Tuesday.

Reached by the AP, Zelikow provided a 131-page statement with information he said was provided for the book. In it, Zelikow acknowledges talking to Rove and Rice during the course of the commission's work despite a general pledge he made not to. But he said the conversations never dealt with politics.

The White House had no immediate comment Sunday.

According to the book, when Democratic commissioner Bob Kerrey learned the extent of Zelikow's ties to the administration, he confronted Republican chairman Tom Kean and demanded to know why someone with such apparent conflicts of interest had been hired.

"Look Tom," Kerrey is quoted as saying, "either he goes or I go." Kean eventually persuaded Kerrey to stay.

Former Rep. Lee Hamilton, the panel's Democratic vice chairman, praised Zelikow as a "person of integrity" who was up front in disclosing his background and White House contacts. It made sense for commission staff to contact the White House regularly to get information, Hamilton said, and the book also notes that Zelikow was such a dogged negotiator that even then-White House Counsel Alberto Gonzales found him irritating and subsequently refused to meet with him.

"Did he try to sway the report to protect the administration? I think the answer was no," Hamilton told the AP.

The book says phone logs maintained by the commission's executive assistant showed at least two calls from Rove to Zelikow's office number in June 2003, and two more calls in September. During that time, the commission was in the midst of its fact-finding.

Zelikow ordered the assistant to stop keeping phone records of his contacts with the White House, the book said, but the panel's general counsel instructed her to ignore the order.

The phone logs do not record Zelikow's calls out, nor do they show calls on his cell phone, which he relied on for most outgoing calls. Records from the Government Accountability Office, which maintained some of the commission's phone records, showed frequent calls from Zelikow to telephone numbers in area code 202, with the telephone prefix 4-5-6 -- the prefix exclusive to the White House, the book says.

Zelikow, in his written statement, said Rove had called with questions about the Bush library and other business related to Zelikow's work at the University of Virginia. Zelikow also said he enlisted Rice's logistical aid on behalf of the commission at one point to get Saudi cooperation so the panel could interview their citizens.

"Rove and I didn't really know each other," he said in the statement. "I don't recall ever having an extended conversation with him, and certainly not about politics or the commission."

The book seeks to raise new questions about the independence of the bipartisan commission, which was created in 2002 to investigate government missteps that led to the September 11 attacks. Initially opposed by the White House, the panel issued a unanimous 567-page final report in July 2004 during the height of the presidential campaign that did not blame Bush or former President Clinton for the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people but did say they each failed to make anti-terrorism a priority.

The book says that in early 2004, Zelikow allegedly sought to add to an initial staff report wording that linked al-Qaida to Iraq. The wording would have said the terrorist network repeatedly tried to communicate with the government of Saddam Hussein, a claim of cooperation the administration had cited to justify the war in Iraq. After a staff protest, Zelikow backed down; the final report said there was no "collaborative relationship" between Saddam and al-Qaida. Zelikow has said that he simply wanted the panel to keep an open mind on the issue. E-mail to a friend
