The Miami Heat’s Shawn Marion returned to his hometown of Chicago

on May 8, 2008 to celebrate his 30th birthday with his family and

friends.

The event was sponsored by LRG, and was held at the popular Chicago nightclub Transit. The whole venue was decked out in a very tasteful black and red theme as hundreds of partygoers came out to show support.

 New York’s DJ S&S and Chicago’s DJ

Vince Adams kicked things off with a variety of music, enticing people to the dancefloor. Marion walked the red carpet a little after midnight, all smiles

and ready to party.

The crowd was also treated to

a live performance from Hip-Hop legends Dougie Fresh and Slick Rick, who

performed classic hits that included “La Di Da Di” and “The Show.”

There were a lot of young women

mingling and dancing as the VIP filled up with some major star power.

 Miami Heat team member DeWayne

Wade, who is also a Chicago native, was in attendance. Other celebrities from Chicago included Antoine Walker, Quentin Richardson,

Drew Sidora, George Daniels, and Bad Boy of Comedy star Sean Morgan.

 D. Wade chilled with some Red BullChicago Bears defensive tackle Tommie Harris and rapper Too $hort also came out to party with

Marion.
