Talib Kweli and Don Lemon Argue Live on CNN

While Talib Kweli was in the streets of Ferguson drawing up support and taking a stand against corrupt police and violence against youth minorities he was featured on a brief CNN segment with anchor Don Lemon. While the conversation ended in a respectful manner, at one point Talib Kweli turned his back to Don Lemon after the two of them engaged in a hotly disputed battle over whether or not Talib was offered an opportunity to address the question.

There is no doubt that Don Lemon cut Talib Kweli off mid sentence in order to control the conversation, but Talib Kweli controlled the narrative and the conversation, almost to the point where he left the interview, nearly walking off camera.

I see that Talib is upset at what has been ongoing on, but could’ve just chilled a little then made his point.

Nah, the reporter should have let him actual get his statement out. As the professional reporter, you gotta take notes at what he’s saying and then go back and argue his point. He fell into the “we having an argument on the corner” just cuz Talib was heated. Reporter got emotional. He’s a sucker.
