Mos Def has signed on to star in Suzan-Lori Parks
new play, loosely based on "The Scarlet Letter," titled "F*cking
A." Performances are scheduled to start February 25 at the Public’s Anspacher
Theater in New York.
MOs Def debuted on Broadway in Park’s Pulitizer
prize winning play, "Topdog/Underdog." In "F*cking A," Mos
Def plays a reckless ex-con.
According to industry trade mag Playbill, Park’s latest play is set in "an
island country where people talk about Europe" and follows the lives of
two women named Hester. One is an abortionist; the other is homeless.
