Ice Cube has signed on to star in what is described
as a road trip comedy, "Are We There Yet."
Cube will star as a playboy bachelor named Nick,
who is dating a single mother of two children who dislike the men that their
mother dates.
When Cube’s girlfriend is stuck working on New
Year’s eve, he offers to bring the children, who he has never met, from Washington
to New York.
The comedy will be directed by Brian Levant,
who recently lensed the film "Snow Dogs." He has also directed "The
Flintstones," "Beethoven," and "Jingle All The Way."
Ice Cube and Matt Alvarez are currently re-writing
the script. According to reports, the movie is slated to start shooting in the
fall.
