Queen Latifah has signed on to produce a remake of the 1974 flick, “Truck Turner” for MGM.The movie was one of many in a genre dubbed “black exploitation” films.The original version starred music legend Isaac Hayes as Truck Turner, an ex-football player turned bounty hunter, who kills a notorious criminal named Gator.Gator’s girlfriend hires another man to chase down and attempt to kill Turner, to avenge Gator’s death.No release date was available as of press time.
