Joseph “Afroman” Foreman is back and preparing to release Afroholic: The Even Better Times, the follow-up to 2001’s Good Times.Last year, Foreman proclaimed he had found God and was leaning toward making music that reflected his new found faith and even considered a name change. The rapper complained that Universal was pushing him to make music he was not interested in recording. As a result, he formed his own independent label, Hungry Hustler Records and has returned to his former rap style.”I’m talking about stuff I know, like getting drunk, getting high, chasing women, selling dope and even my feelings for God,” Foreman said. “There’s a depth to this recording that hopefully will let listeners know I’m not just some guy who won the drunk karaoke lottery with ‘Because I Got High’ and got a record deal.”The album is a double CD and features over 30 new tracks, such as “Let’s Get High Tonight,” “Freak With You” and “Just My Paranoia.”Afroholic: The Even Better Times will be released on April 20 (4/20), a day celebrated by some marijuana smokers.
