Paris’ Guerrilla Funk Recordings has reached

a deal with rapper MC Ren and will produce, manufacture and distribute a new

album by the veteran in early 2005.

The album is the first full-length recording

for the former N.W.A. member since 1998, when he released Ruthless For Life.

Ren is known for his bold lyrics on N.W.A.’s

now legendary debut, Straight Outta Compton and for penning several tracks

on Eazy E’s debut, Eazy Duz It.

After the group released 1991’s Niggaz4Life,

the group disbanded and Ren launched his solo career with the EP Kizz My

Black Azz

in 1992.

Ren shed his Gangsta image when converted to

the Nation of Islam and released Shock of the Hour in 1993, followed

by The Villian In Black in 1996 and rounded out by Ruthless For Life.

The album has yet-to-be titled.
