Da Brat, the First Lady of So So Def Records, has joined the latest cast of VH1’s “Surreal Life,” the popular show that assembles a diverse group of celebrities.

Producers for the show set up cameras throughout a domicile in which the celebs’ activities are watched and recorded 24 hours of every day. In the past, the show has presented Hip-Hop artists like MC Hammer, Vanilla Ice, and most recently Public Enemy’s Flavor Flav.

Da Brat will reside in a mansion with former wrestler Chyna, pop-rocker Jane Wiedlin (The Go-Gos), Christopher Knight (“The Brady Bunch”), Verne “Mini Me” Troyer (“Austin Powers”); model Marcus Schenkenberg and Adrianne Curry from “America’s Next Top Model.”

The cast was showed their new Hollywood digs earlier this week and production has begun.

Flavor Flav has been a tremendous star of the present “Surreal Life,”which will see its series finale on Sunday evening. With co-star actress Brigitte Nielsen, Flav scored a new series with VH1. The pair will travel across the United States and arrive in Las Vegas, where Flav and Nielsen’s real life fiancée Mattia Disse will try to win Nielsen’s heart.

The new season of “Surreal Life” airs on January 9.

The original season aired on the UPN network Gabrielle Carteris, M.C. Hammer, Vince Neil, Corey Feldman, Emmanuel Lewis, Jeri Manthey and Brande Roderick. The second second season featured Erik Estrada, Ron Jeremy, Tammy Faye Baker, Trishelle Cannatella, Traci Bingham and Vanilla Ice.
