Dr. Dre has restarted his

highly anticipated solo album, Detox. The super producer put the project

on hold to produce albums for Aftermath artists Eve and Busta Rhymes. According

to published reports, the album is slated for a fall 2005 release.

Jay-Z’s documentary

“Fade to Black” earned $475,648 during its opening week in theaters.

The movie opened at just 170 sites, giving it a $2,798 per screen average that

nearly matched other high profile movie releases over the weekend.

The RZA helmed

"Blade: Trinity” soundtrack will be released two weeks before the

movie, which RZA scored, is in theaters. The album is Hip-Hop heavy and features

such artists as Wu’s Raekwon, Ghostface, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, as well

as songs by E-40, WC, Kool Keith, Lil’ Flip, Crystal Method and others.

"Blade Trinity" is in stores November 23rd.

Dame Dash will

be the man of the hour at S.H.I.N.E’s third annual fundraising event.

S.H.I.N.E, which is an acronym for Seeking Harmony in Neighborhoods Everyday,

is a national non-profit organization dedicated to ending youth violence and

promoting respect for diversity. The benefit is hosted by Angie Martinez of

New York’s Hot 97, MTV’s LaLa and B2K’s Omarion. The event

takes place in Manhattan and will feature performances by Samantha Ronson, Ryan

Leslie, Denim, MOP and twin sisters Nina Sky. Celebrity guests include Nelly,

Russell Simmons, Kevin Bacon and others.
