DJ Whoo Kid has collaborated with Jamie Foxx for a promotional

mixtape featuring rappers 50 Cent, Twista, Stat Quo and The Game.

Whoo Kid, who has worked with Foxx in the past, said his relationship

with the actor/singer developed more after Foxx did a record on 50 Cent’s upcoming

album, The Massacre.

"Jamie liked

the Sada Pop mixtape we did earlier so much that he hollered at me to do another

one," Whoo Kid said. "So I leaked one 50 Cent freestyle and promoted

Twista’s new artists, Speedknot Mobstaz, who I’m working with now, and Eminem’s

[artist] Stat Quo."

"I must have given away at least 1,000 CDs to my friends

and co-workers," Foxx said in a statement. "They went bananas."

Whoo Kid said he sees the collaboration as a means of promoting

himself to win at Justo’s Mixtape Awards March 9, but also to campaign for Foxx,

who is nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in

"Ray."

The 77th Annual Academy Awards take place tonight (Feb. 27)

at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, California.
