The Source Magazine has named a new Editor-In-Chief in Joshua "Fahiym" Ratcliffe. For the past two years, Ratcliffe has moved up the ranks in the magazine relatively fast. He began his tour of duty at The Source as the Cultural Editor and was eventually promoted to Deputy Editor. As the EIC, Ratcliffe replaces Kim Osorio, who made history as the first female head of the magazine. Osorio hasn’t announced any future plans.

Bad Boy’s Chopper (a.k.a. Young City) was made famous through P.Diddy’s "Making The Band," but now he’s pushing Rap Snacks’ Pork Skins and Cracklins as the spokesperson for the brand. Instead of the television, the rapper’s image will appear on the packaging of the snacks along with positive messages like “be who you are without shame" and "seize every opportunity." Chopper is still signed to Bad Boy South and expects to drop a single this spring. After selling 3 million bags last year, Rap Snacks with Chopper’s mug are coming to a hood near you.

Yesterday, Justo’s 9th Annual Mixtape Awards came off without a hitch at B.B. King’s Bar & Grill in midtown Manhattan. The invitation-only gala was hosted by Rap City’s Mad Linx and featured the likes of Rah Digga, Common, Stat Quo, The Game and a number of other rap luminaries. Sean “P. Diddy” Combs won Best Mixtape Top Exec & Lifetime Achievement Award and veteran Lovebug Starski took home the Mixtape Legends Award.
