Famously known for leaving

a lasting impression wherever he goes, hip hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy”

Combs has been awarded his own day in the city of Las Vegas.

Las Vegas, Nevada will forever

identify May 14th as “Diddy Day,” further acknowledging the entrepreneur’s

admiration for the popular vacation spot.

"It’s a great honor

that one of my favorite cities in the world has named May 14th ‘Diddy Day’,"

said Combs. "Las Vegas is one of the most colorful and vibrant cities I

know. Its non-stop action and adrenaline-fueled energy is infectious. I look

forward to working with the city in the years to come."

The event recognizing the

famed entertainment impresario will also coincide with the cities’ 100th

birthday celebration.

“P. Diddy brings national

attention to every city he travels to and our hope is that he continues to bring

his electrifying presence to Las Vegas,” said Mayor Oscar Goodman. “This

weekend is about celebrating Las Vegas and having a good time and who better

to invite to a party than P. Diddy.”

Arrangements for the event

were expected to take place one month prior, but due to scheduling conflicts

and previous engagements, Combs informed the mayor he wouldn’t be able

to attend.

Nevertheless, a wrench in

plans couldn’t keep the excitement of the city at bay for long. All parties

involved welcomed the rescheduling with no problems.

David Saxe, Las Vegas producer

and owner of the V Theater, resounded in the mayor’s enthusiasm for upcoming

ventures with the star.

“It is amazing to

have P. Diddy, an entertainment mogul, visit the most electrifying city in the

world,” he said. “We are all thrilled to be a part of [P. Diddy’s]

potential future projects in Vegas, and we’re proud to have played a part

in Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman and P. Diddy meeting with each other today.”
