Atlantic City, New

Jersey has rolled out the red carpet for the second location of rapper Jay Z’s

ultra-chic sports bar, the 40/40 Club, scheduled for a summer opening date.

According to Black Enterprise,

the 40/40 Club will be situated in The Walk, an entertainment district that

will house the sports bar, along with a nightclub and a steakhouse.

Atlantic City, which is

already one of the most visited gambling resorts on the east coast, hopes to

attract visitors and generate more business with alternatives to gambling.

“Sports are always

on and it’s a club also," 40/40 spokesperson Ron Berkowitz said. "It’s

very upscale; there are not a lot of places that have that kind of atmosphere."

The $4 million dollar club

in Atlantic City will feature much of the same offerings as the club in New York.

New additions include private

suites and private rooms, which Berkowitz compared to mini skyboxes.

Jay-Z and business partners

Desiree Gonzalez and Juan Perez opened their first 40/40 location in New York

almost two years ago.

Jay and company

are considering turning the club into a franchise, while plans are underway

to open the sports bar in Miami, Atlanta and Las Vegas.
