A Seattle, Washington
fan was assaulted on stage during a concert at the White River Amphitheater over
the weekend featuring Snoop Dogg and The Game.
While reports vary, Richard
Monroe, 24, attempted to hop onstage to dance and security guards for Snoop
– as well as Snoop and The Game – allegedly beat him.
Monroe, who stands about
6’3, claims that some of the men on stage encouraged him to get on the
stage while Snoop was performing his hit “Gin and Juice.”
Once he was on stage, Monroe
claims he was attacked by at least a dozen men, including Snoop Dogg and The
Game, who allegedly punched and kicked him repeatedly.
Monroe also alleges that
his earrings were ripped out of his earlobes, that alcohol was poured on him,
that someone hit him with a microphone and that other items were stolen.
The show was abruptly ended
following the altercation on stage.
“He was beaten senseless
that’s for sure,” a source that was near the fight told AllHipHop.com.
“From what I saw, it appears that he actually lunged at Snoop Dogg.”
While reports vary, the
entire incident was captured on camera by the same source, who wished to remain
anonymous.
Representatives for the
White River Amphitheatre confirmed that an altercation took place during the
concert.
"The safety and security
of our artists and our patrons is very important to us," Lance Miller,
the amphitheater’s executive director, said in a statement. "We fully support
the local authorities in their investigation of this incident."
Monroe was treated
at the Auburn Regional Medical Center. Reports stated he had bruised ribs and
a broken nose.
The Seattle, Washington concert was one of the last stops on Snoop and The Game’s
31-date tour “How The West was Won,” which kicked off in April.
