Queen Latifah will

be honored with a key to the city of Secaucus, New Jersey tonight (July 14),

for her ongoing support and activism in the state of New Jersey.

Latifah will be

presented with the key by Mayor Dennis Elwell during a special, free mini-concert

at a Secaucus area Wal-Mart, where she will perform some of her latest songs.

The concert will

introduce local women who are at-risk, to a new awards project aimed at raising

self-confidence among women.

The awards are

sponsored by Curvation, a lingerie company for “curvaceous” women.

Five finalists will receive $2,000 grants that will go towards community projects

the finalists are involved in, while one lucky grand prize winner will be awarded

a $10,000 grant.

A luncheon to select

the finalists and grand prize winner will take place next year. Interested women

The concert starts

at 6:30 pm in the Wal-Mart parking lot located at 400 Park Place, Secaucus,

New Jersey.
