2Extremes Inc. has teamed

up with various rap artists, journalists and leaders in the Hip-Hop community

to launch the second annual Hip-Hop Leadership Camp at UCLA this weekend.

Guest speakers include E40,

Sway, (MTV and The Sway& Tech Wake Up Show), Chino XL, Big Jon (EMI Publishing),

Big Paul (Sr. Director Promotions & Marketing – West Coast, Universal

Music Group/Motown), Grouchy Greg Watkins (Co-Founder/AllHipHop.com) DJ Skee,

Mister Cartoon, Gary Jackson (Professor – Hip Hop Business at UCLA), Davey

D., Cynthia Johnson (Warner Bros. Records) and many others.

The camp was founded by

Karen P. Levy and Frank Satterwhite in 1995 at UC Berkeley with a mission to

cultivate a positive vision in children and provide them with the necessary

tools to advance in education and life,

The Hip-Hop Leadership Camp

targets at risk children in the urban communities of Los Angeles, California

to promote teamwork and to show importance of participation in all aspects of

business.

“When people say things

like ‘this is an amazing thing you are doing for the kids’ it’s

a very uncomfortable feeling,” Levy told AllHipHop.com. “We do it

because it makes us feel good and we want our children to grow-up in a society

that is better than what they have today.”

The four day gathering will

include educational seminars and hands on workshops along with discussions geared

toward leadership training and social responsibility.

There is no charge for the

kids that attend the camp and next year, 2Extremes will be conducting 3 camps

– in Los Angeles, New York and a third undisclosed location.

The Hip-Hop Leadership Camp

will take place August 11-14 at UCLA in Los Angeles, California.
