Superstar rapper Foxy

Brown has been hit with a lawsuit by a clothing designer, stemming from a September

2004 incident in a bathroom in a New York night club.

Tanya Manderson is suing Foxy Brown, Black Crow Productions,

Black Roses Entertainment and Def Jam for falsely accusing her of assaulting

Brown at Club Show during a Baby Phat show.

Manderson was accused of ripping an earring worth $250,000 from

Brown’s right ear and stealing her Louis Vuitton purse.

Brown accused Manderson of eluding security guards. Manderson

later turned herself in and was charged with second degree robbery, grand larceny

and criminal possession of stolen property.

In July of 2002, Essence magazine highlighted Manderson’s

clothing line, “Trash and Ready.”

Manderson denied all charges levied against her shortly after

the incident.

"Ms. Brown has been making her media rounds telling her

false stories, but I am confident the truth will eventually come out."

Manderson said. "The phrase ‘Don’t believe everything you read or hear’

applies in this case."

Manderson is seeking an undisclosed amount.

Brown recently pled not guilty to assaulting two attendants

in a New York nail salon in August of 2004. Brown’s next court date is

September 22.

Brown’s album Black Roses is slated for a Fall 2005

release on Def Jam.
