Mike Shinoda is preparing a Hip-Hop album titled The Rising Tied under

the name Fort Minor. Shinoda wrote produced and played almost every instrument on

the album, which is executive produced by Def Jam President, Jay-Z.

"The Fort Minor record is all about getting back to basics

in hip-hop, both sonically and for me personally," Shinoda said. “And

working with Jay-Z again has been phenomenal. We can’t wait for people to hear

the final product."

The album features Common, Black Thought, Styles of Beyond,

John Legend, Kenna and newly signed Machine Shop artists Styles of Beyond and

Holly Brook.

Shinoda has sold over 35 million records around the globe in

just five years as a member of Linkin Par and the group’s debut album

“Hybrid Theory” has sold over 18 million copies alone.

Linkin Park also released the mash-up album Collision Course

with Jay-Z. The next album from Linkin Park is slated for a Spring 2006 release.

The Rising Tied by Fort Minor is due in stores November 22. For
