Police in Charleston,

South Carolina have arrested three men who appeared on a DVD displaying assault

rifles and drugs.

The DVD caused an up roar in the state last week, with images

of men allegedly smoking crack, brandishing assault weapons and throwing wads

of money around.

Three men in the DVD have been arrested and charged on various

outstanding warrants, due to their appearance in the film, which police labeled

“a great investigative tool.”

One of the men was arrested after a shooting victim identified

that identified his assailant by watching the DVD.

Joe Riley, the Mayor of Charleston, said the one-hour video

featured nothing but real criminals flashing real guns.

“It is a terrible video, due to their actions, their weapons,"

Riley told The Post and Courier. "A number of arrests will be made because

of this, and these very bad criminals will go behind bars where they belong.

Seldom do you get such incriminating evidence given to you.”

The DVD’s

producer, Rodrick Drayton, said that no real drugs or guns were used in the

production. He labeled the weapons and drugs “all props.”
