On the eve of premiering
his new reality series, Rev Run has put his Saddle River mansion on the market
for $5.3 million this week.
The mansion served as the backdrop for “Run’s House,”
a reality series about the Hip-Hip legend family home life.
The swank Saddle River mansion is set on 2 acres and offers
several upscale amenities including an eight-seat home theater, an indoor basketball
court, a "tranquility room," a sound studio, a recording booth and
a dining room adorned with gold leaf crown molding.
The estate also boasts an in-ground outdoor pool, a cabana with
fireplace and a koi pond.
The Saddle River mansion has been the home of the Simmons couple
for several years and is often used to entertain families and youngsters.
While they have relished their stay, because of the growing
number of Zoe Ministry couples enjoying their home, they needed more space.
Rev Run, one third of the Hip-Hop group Run-DMC, is a minister
with Zoe Ministries, a non-denominational church in Manhattan, New York.
“Run’s House,” taken from Run-DMC’s
1988 hit of the same name, will reveal the family life of Run, who helped spread
Hip-Hop around the globe as a member of legendary group Run-DMC.
"Run’s House," focuses on the Rev. Run, (real name
Joey Simmons) as he balances recording his first solo album while raising five
children, ages 9 to 21.

will broadcast at 10:30 p.m. Thursday Oct. 13.
