Rapper/actor LL Cool J and actress Gabrielle Union have been tapped to host BET’s annual Rip the Runway fashion special.
Busta Rhymes, Three Six Mafia, Steve Harvey, Christina Milian, Anthony Hamilton and Ne-Yo will also be featured in the special, which airs March 23 on BET.
The one-hour show will showcase LL Cool J’s new Todd Smith clothing line, as well as collections from Brand Jordan, Stephen Burrows, Steve Harvey and others.
This year also sees several new additions to the runway, including a plus size segment and the debut of Paul Wall’s exclusive “Grillz” collection.
The show will be taped live on March 1 at the Roseland Ballroom in New York.
In conjunction with the event, BET is also holding the Rip the Runway Amateur Model Search.
Out of the applicants, five finalists will be selected to appear on BET’s 106 & Park on Feb. 27, where a group of judges will select the Amateur Model winner based on several criteria.
