The Game is redefining his latest single “It’s Okay (One Blood)” with a high-powered remix featuring a who’s who of emcees from diverse regions.
Among those featured on the track are Snoop Dogg, Nas, T.I., Jim Jones, Fat Joe, Lil Wayne, Noreaga, Fabolous, Twista, Jadakiss & Styles P, Tha Dogg Pound, W.C., E-40, Clipse, Bun B, Slim Thug, Chamillionaire, Juelz Santana, Young Dro and Ja Rule.
“What other rap artist could bring this type of lineup together for one song? It’s the biggest rap remix ever-no question!” Game said in a statement. “Just listening to the track after we put the final touches on, I almost didn’t belief it myself. I’m very proud to be able to put this out for fans of Hip-Hop everywhere.”
The “It’s Okay (One Blood)” remix follows the successful run of the original, which featured Junior Reid and landed on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hip-Hop and R&B Singles charts after hitting radio stations in August.
The song’s video, which follows Game through the streets of Los Angeles, has received frequent play on video stations.
The remix serves as a prelude to the Compton rapper’s forthcoming album Doctor’s Advocate.
The release, which hits stores Nov. 14, includes appearances from Reid, Jamie Foxx, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, The Dogg Pound and Marsha Ambrosius of Floetry as well as production front Just Blaze, Kanye West, will.i.am, Swizz Beatz, Hi-Tek, Jonathan “J.R.” Rottem, Nottz, Mr. Porter, Jelly Roll, DJ Khalil, Ervin “EP” Pope, Reefa, D-Roc and Scott Scorch.
The video for the Storch-produced lead single, “Let’s Ride (Strip Club),” recently debuted on video outlets.
The clip, directed by Little X, invokes the spirit of rap music in 1990s Los Angeles while paying homage to some of the most famous rap music videos filmed in LA in that period.
Creating “Let’s Ride,” turned out to be “a labor of love,” Game said. “Scott and I made it happen last time around and I dig his sound, so I was excited to work with him again. When I hear ‘Let’s Ride’ blastin’ from cars in Compton, it feels like the soundtrack to the city.”
The release of the “It’s Okay” remix and “Let’s Ride” is the latest achievement for Game, who has remained busy this year with mixtapes, the addition of new styles and colors to his Hurricane sneaker line and a co-starring roll in the movie Waist Deep.
